J & J Pools & Services were able to fix our pool problems and provide us with technical information that answered all of our pool questions. We called three other pool service companies for service visits and quotes of what would be needed to solve our problems. J & J Pools & Services answered our call first, followed up, and locked in a time and date for a service call. This all happened prior to the competitors calling back and following up about my inquiry. J & J Pools & Services guaranteed their work and gave me an estimate that was by far our most cost effective option. After moving forward with having J & J Pools & Services, they came through on time as promised and replaced my old pump, filter, and plumbing within five days of the initial service call! One day after this, a big pool name company finally called me back to set up a time for a service call. Their fast response and honest assessment of what we needed to get our pool up and running was a true testament of their honesty and integrity. I will continue to use J & J Pools & Services for all of our pool needs. Their technical expertise is not only helpful but is the gold standard and what should be expected from a pool service company.

J&J's negligent actions. . pool shock that almost killed my dog.

Your first impression of the pool will probably be wow it's large with so many lanes and many areas where you can just swim or float to your hearts content. Another impression might be and it was especially for me the bright blue water of the pool. It looks refreshing, cool, and inviting. Deep Eddiy pool has a oblong shape typical of large pools of its size. The pool has architecturally clean lines with precise corners. When you stand on the pool platform the vastness of the pool rushes to the forefront. Everytime I stick my foot in the water of the Deep Eddy pool, that cool refreshing feeling envelopes my body. Entry fees are very reasonable and can beas low as $2 per day. Paid parking is available in front of the pool and on the street. Nice relaxing self-care day...

There is no shade to speak of when in the water, so be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen. They have lockers to store valuables on site, but you need to bring your own lock. They also have dedicated dressing/shower areas and relatively clean toilets. If you don't use a locker, you have to place everything on the sides of the pool in the grass/dirt (be sure to bring a picnic blanket if you plan to hang out there at all). The grass/dirt area is nicely shaded. No beverages apart from water is allowed by the pool. Entry fees were $5/person for Austin residents. It was an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

The pool was big enough to accomodate many different age groups and even had different activities to participate in while in it. There were the slides, a volleyball net, and huge floating lily pads lined up with a rope you could hold onto in order to cross on the pads! There were more than enough lifeguards on duty and the employees were all very helpful and kind. The only flaw I would say this place had was the fact that the pricing seems a bit high in my opinion. If it is a neighborhood swimming pool then it should practically be free for kids to get in and have some summer fun but the pricing was such that if you had a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) the total out of pocket would be near $30. I guess it is cheaper than if you were to take your family to Hawaiian Falls or another water park but it still seems a bit on the expensive side to me with way less rides and attractions compared to the "real" water parks. This place is a great get-away if you want to stay near the area or just have a short outing for little kids but otherwise if you are looking for a "water park" experience then you should probably just go to one. They allow coolers and had shaded picnic tables. There is not that much parking available compared to the size of the place but it doesn't seem like it would ever be at full capacity so it doesn't seem like an issue. There are a couple of things that weren't posted on the photos on here and one of them is their skate park. Another is their little "rock climbing" mountain for little kids. These attractions aren't really big but for Lakeway it is a big deal. This area doesn't really seem to have many parks or recreational places for little kids so it was quite refreshing to see a place like this. The skate park had teenagers hanging out and a few little kids and the "rock-climbing" simulation was probably about 5 feet tall and 10 feet in diameter so it isn't too dangerous but is fun for little kids to climb on and off of.

If I could give the Lakeway Swim Center 0 stars, I would. There are serious problems here with some…read moreof the users, but lifeguards and managers refuse to deal with them. When they do, they shoot the messenger and protect the guilty. There is one woman lap swimmer who nearly everybody is afraid of. She is as mean as a snake. She has been lying to people about me repeatedly. She called me an asshole to my face in front of others, for no reason. She has been pissed off because when people ask to share my lane, if they have plastic paddles I ask them not to use them because I have been hit hard by good swimmers and it hurts. You can look it up- injuries and pain from plastic paddle hits in lap pools is a known problem. Yesterday an obviously competitive swimmer asked to share my lane. At first I said ok but then I saw he had plastic paddles so I asked him not to use them and I told him why. I was polite and so was he. He went to another lane. Next I saw the woman talking with the lifeguard- this is what she does- she befriends the female lifeguards then manipulates them into coming after me. Next, a guy in the middle lane starts talking loudly for all to hear saying "everybody has to share". He too obviously was upset at me. I have never spoken to the guy. I think he may have also been manipulated by this terrible woman. I corrected him. I said that I have no problem sharing, but I have a problem with the plastic paddles because they hurt when people hit you with them. He accused me of poor arm control, which was a lie. When sharing I always stay far on my side, and I never swam with this guy. Then I see the lifeguard standing near me with the assistant pool manager, who until recently, I thought was a friend. They were whispering. I said "Hey, come here. I want to talk to you about what has been happening here. Only the assistant director came over. I told him exactly what had happened. He told me that I cannot ask people not to use plastic paddles. Today I got a call from the pool director. Before he could say anything, I said- I am going to tell you what really happened. I told him the true story. He said that was not what he was told by multiple people. Clearly, the others were lying- probably repeating the lies the old woman told them about me. Before that, I offered to never occupy an entire lane, to demonstrate that I have no problem sharing. And I said if anybody asked to share with plastic paddles I will give up my lane and share with somebody else. And I said if that is not good enough, you can give me my money back and I will never go to your evil pool again. So that is the situation. I have more horror stories about the Lakeway Swim Center lap pool but thats enough for now. Do yourself a favor- skip this pool of Lakeway affluenza and entitlement.

They allow the Brushy Creek Marlins to lease the pool for the summer "home" swim meets which I feel is very generous considering the microphone and speakers carryover the noise throughout a sizable area. The winter swimmers the Brushy Creek Sailfish use the pool too. Not near as many and not much conflict as even though the Texas winters can be mild the area isn't near as busy. Not sure if the homeowners will see this post but as the Mimi of a 10 yr. old (that has been with the team since she was 5) I wanted to issue a personal thank you I hope the relationship continues for many years to come! I need to mention the actual neighborhood. Rarely have I toured a neighborhood where it's hard to find a visible mix of homes where the owners aren't fond of yard work and it shows. Or even though there is an HOA -owners are frequently allowed to break the rules. Not here at Sendero Springs. No unsightly anything!!! Regretfully, a move is not in our future or I'd be house hunting here!!!
