My kids really enjoy every part of this park. The playground is nice and kept up well. There are plenty of things to climb up and slide down. There is even portions where it's kind of like a tunnel they can climb up. The big slide is their favorite because they always fly down it so fast! I guess when you're 3 and 6 years old, going down a slide fast is exhilarating? Lol. They also have this spear thing that they sit in that spins. This park also has a small "rock" climbing wall. It's not very tall but it's easy for them to scale up it and get down by themselves. They also have some rockers they can sit on. Their favorite is the motorcycle because it comes with a side car, so they can both ride together. The hills are fun to run around on, my kids burn so much energy off while we're there. I love how they have it decorated for Christmas too. They have lights and even a big Christmas tree! Another huge plus is that this park has restrooms. They are clean and always stocked with toilet paper and soap. It's pretty convenient because the three year old is Potty trained, so when she has to go, she has to go right then and there. This is a really nice park. It has a nice crushed granite running loop . It not a real big park but it has a splash pad, tennis court, playground equipment, a baseball diamond, and a large covered pavilion. There are picnic tables throughout with grills beside them. Everything is in great condition. They take great care of this park. I'm going to make it one of my top running spots and I'll probably go and grill sometimes and hang out. Check it out. read more

I drove by this park some may times not knowing how nice it is. It's very clean and designed to appeal everyone except animals. My son really enjoys the splash pad, running up and down the hills and plus it's free wifi! It's very open and several areas to just enjoy and chill. Ill be looking into having my son birthday party next summer here. read more

I can't even count how many times I have driven right by this park. I swear I've been meaning to actually stop and check it out, but for whatever reason I just haven't had a chance to do so until now. The nugget and I were driving by and decided to stop to get in some play time to satisfy our daily fun requirement. Upon arrival the first thing that made me happy is the ample parking. I immediately noticed and appreciated how clean and well-kept the grounds were. The main pavilion is very inviting and can be rented for private events for a mere $50. There is another covered pavilion that houses a basketball goal to get your dribble on rain or shine - I feel like getting my Kobe on! As for the primary playground - what the deuce! It's pretty hardcore and made my want to take a crack at the giant slide. All of the equipment in this main playground section is fairly new and is in great shape. There's a sign in the area that says that the area is designed for 5-12 years old, and I think that is fair. The nugget is 22 months and he was having a hard time walking up the different levels. I didn't feel comfortable letting him go down the slides since they were too big for him. In addition to the jungle gym, there's a rock climbing wall and a musical wall with bells (more cowbell!!!) and percussion. Besides this feature there is not much to do for the under 5 age crowd. Summary: A+ for the beautiful setting and the well maintained grounds. B- for the limited activities for the tiny tykes. As the chicken hawk grows we will be back - another year or so on him and this place might be just what he needs. read more

This park is fairly small. It is great for shooting hoops, having a get together, walking or jogging, a place for the little ones, baseball or recreational sport, and to sit. The trails aren't as long as you may think. It took me only 2 mins to walk it. It is pretty designated too! The rules of this park are misleading. It says, "no animals are allowed". But what about the natural animals who used to live on the land before this was established. I saw lots of animals such as squirrels & birds in the park. If that's not considered an animal then what is that classified as in the kingdom? They make as big of a mess as any pet would though natural animals are allowed...I guess, it should've said "no pets are allowed". There is nothing naturely about this park. It is basically in the center of buildings and near the Medical center. The trails are some-what shaded, but no they are not wooded. If your looking for peace and quiet. This isn't the park! Here there is constant noise of a construction crew and that annoying "beep, beep" backing up sound, kids crying and screaming, and motorist vehicles. Aaahh..Train wreck! Oh yea, A few undeveloped areas are the water fountain playground, the baseball field and looks of a kickball field. The restroom are a big reminder of travel rest area bathrooms. You know the ones that have no air conditioning, feels dirty and has that not so clear mirror? Yep, I just described to you this park bathroom.. no it wasn't the cleanest. Also, if you like water at a park. This park is not the hot spot! The only thing it has close to water was a couple puddles from last weeks rain. Nope, no fishes in there probably only mosquitoes larvae. I probably will not be back when Challenger park is right around the corner. A real naturally park with water, trails, and all animals are allowed even people. read more

I love this park! It has a big covered pavillion, a few playgrounds, basketball court, baseball field, a walking trail, and a few hills that the kiddos can roll down. This is a really nice park for trainers to have bootcamp because it's very open and there also are several trees to grab some shade if you needed a break. I work right down the street from this park so I often come here in the spring and fall to eat lunch and walk the trail. I'm a fan! read more

This isn't a huge park, but it's one of the cleanest parks around. I think one of the reasons is that no dogs are allowed. Now, don't get me wrong, I love dogs. But I can't stand dog owners that don't clean up after their pet, especially in a park. Because that's just gross and really irresponsible. This park has a little gravel running/walking trail, it's only about 3/10 of a mile, but it's nice to go around a few times. It has a baseball field, tennis courts, tons of playground equipment and tons of picnic tables and bbq grills. They do have bathrooms and water fountains, too which is really nice. They have basketball court and a nice covered pavilion that you can rent, or reserve. I think you can do that online, or just call the city. According to the city's website, the hours are 6am to 11pm and the park covers 20.08 acres. This really is a nice park, and I'm sure it gets busier on the weekends, but typically when I run in the mornings or after work it's not too busy. It really is one of the nicest parks around and I love that I am within running distance to it! read more

They have done a great job at making this park even more family friendly. There are two pavilions that are great for having picnics under, or hide under when it rains. The playground is huge and well maintained. Also it has gravel around it so the kids won't get too dirty. There are baseball fields and tennis courts for people that want to play some sports. If you like to walk or run there is a jogging path around the park. There are bathrooms on site that are maintained so don't worry about having to take your child into a port-a-potty. They hold fireworks every 4th of July which are very well done. The celebrations start around 5 with lots of activities like water balloon fights, free snow cones and bingo. I have never seen it crowded on a normal weekend or weekday so you can enjoy this park without competing for tables or parking spaces. read more

This is a safe, beautiful park designed to appeal to everyone. The kids and families get to enjoy a play area close to the park entrance. Joggers and walkers have a mile-marked path. The picnic areas are always clean. There's even a more wooded area that will appeal to those there to get a nature fix. I've yet to run into the lesser element that are potentially up to no good that most parks attract. Whenever I have friends come down to my area, we often meet up there. read more

Brought my 3 and 4 year old nieces to play around 6:30 one night after stopping for dinner. Probably the cleanest park in our area. Love how much shade is around for the adults to sit in while the kids play. However, the alarming language coming out of the basketball players mouths is a HUGE turnoff. I have a mouth like a sailor myself but when every other word you literally YELL so the whole park can hear you is "N-word" and "mother F**cker" that's a bit much. Especially with young children running around everywhere. Those basketball players are the Only reason I refuse to take my Nieces back to that park anytime after lunch. Sad that grown adults can't control their mouths. read more
