Our youngest son is serious about his wings...his favorites have been "locked in" for a while...but this visit just changed that! The service was excellent from start to finish. This location is pretty good. It's busy on weekends so definitely plan ahead. Service is pretty good and the crawfish is as well. The wings took a while but was worth the wait as they are award winning. We had a few hiccups, but the mgr corrected it right away. Also, it's super kid friendly which is a huge win. read more

Came here with my family for the first time (finally) after many recommendations from friends. We sat outside so my kids could play on the playground and wow was that a popular area! We were greeted with a "hey y'all!" Which at first I was like this is so cute but then realized when I saw the menu that that's their "thing." Either way, I felt very welcomed by so many people, from being sat to signing our tab. Our waitress was lovely and we had the best service I've gotten in a long time. They had happy hour with $3 margaritas which they were good! You can actually taste the alcohol. They even gave us a chips, queso and salsa tester since it was our first time in. The food isn't spectacular but I have heard the wings are great. We just didn't have time to wait the 30 minutes to get some. All in all, I'm impressed and I'll be back! read more

What a great experience!!! I travel the country for business and generally dine in close proximity to my hotel. while I was in Katy, TX I found Texas Borders on a Monday, BOGO burgers. in addition beer specials, $2.50 a pint. my server Joey made me feel like a regular. Very comfortable sports environment with numerous TVs. A bill which I would have expected to be $60 to $70 range, came in at $35.73. I look forward to visiting this area again in the future. In addition to Joey was Maddie, a very attentive young lady who ensured I was taken of... She visited me several times to make sure my needs were met. I can't say enough about this establishment. This was a pleasant experience! Our family came here on a Friday, and all the food was delicious. The host was so sweet from the jump and seated us somewhere that we could see our son at the playground outside easily! How nice. Our server, Kyle, was attentive, helpful, and very genuine. For over three years, I have supported Texas Borders, bringing friends and family and spending my money here. Yet despite my loyalty, I have been repeatedly singled out, humiliated, and treated differently than other patrons. For example, I was banned for 90 days after an accidental spill-- something far less serious than the rowdy and disruptive behavior I've seen tolerated from other customers. The bartenders deliberately avoid my side of the bar, my guests are treated poorly simply for being with me, and I've been denied service under circumstances where other parents with children are served freely. I cannot help but feel this treatment is discriminatory. The staff who target me are all women, while the guest they favor are of a different race. I have always been kind, respectful, and professional, yet I am treated unfairly, which has caused me significant frustration and hurt. This feels like targeted behavior. Given the pattern and who is enforcing it, it reads as discriminatory. I have done nothing but act responsibly and respectfully. As a former employee, I also experienced unfair treatment: I worked a full week of training without pay, had my tips withheld, and was removed from scheduling without notice. The pattern of inconsistent treatment and targeting makes me question how guests and staff are treated overall. I strongly hope ownership reviews this behavior and ensures that all customers are treated fairly and respectfully. read more

So disappointed! Fried pickles were so greasy, probably because the batter looked like beer batter. It was saturated and soaked up all the oil. When I hit into the pickles greased squirted out. Did I say A LOT of grease. The chicken avocado wrap looked like a 5 yr old made it. All of the veges were cooked, wilted, mushy and the wrap itself. They forgot the jalapeño ranch dressing on the wrap and a side. French fries were also excessively greasy. For $23 I was so sad. I will not be back. read more

I've been here a handful of times, and I've always enjoyed everything I've ordered. Tonight, the Fried Mushroom appetizer, and my Chicken Cobb Salad hit the spot! I think I might try the Shrimp Tacos next time! By the way, this casual bar & grille offer some of the best beer & cocktail prices this side of Grand Parkway. ($5 for a Jack & Coke). My server was a friendly, efficient young man in a black baseball cap named James. Been here several times over the years and the food/service has been consistent. I will say the food quality does seem to be going down slowly. The main reason for my post though is SAFETY! They have always had a playground for kids but that playground is now a liability and they are lucky they haven't been sued over an injury yet. In no way should slides be duck taped together. There are also steps that are cracking and one heavy kid away from breaking. I've seen school playgrounds shut down for less repairs needed. So come on Texas borders and drop the money to upgrade the playground. read more

Texas borders has the biggest and most flavorful crawfish in the area. If you're up for pain, get the cauliflower or mushrooms with your crawfish. Delicious, but lots of spice. The menu is mainly a mix of Cajun and Tex-Mex. They also offer Southern favorites like chicken fried steak. I really enjoyed the St. Arnold's beer they had on tap. Love that they give first time customers free chips and dips to try, I believe it's the Trio Sampler. It was a great first appetizer! The Boudin Balls are amazing!! Definitely 5/5 and we will come back here just for them! We had high hopes for the wings, but they were sadly a 2/5 and don't think we will get these again. The Spicy honey BBQ wings had too much sauce on them and wasn't rubbed into the wing. We asked for blackened wings with hot wing sauce on the side, and they came out with the sauce on top. Seated immediately with a smile of course. Waiter was friendly, knew the menu, and did not mess up our order. Food was delightful, you could taste the different layers of flavor and zest. The bbq quesadillas and chicken fried chicken were more than enough for one person. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was buzzing. This is a well managed restaurant. You could tell the quality of food selections were with something for the picky ones as well as the food junkies. We recommend for families and singles. The food was okay but I've seen a lot of moms recommend this place for their playground. I took my little one outside to play while we waited for our food. I was super grossed out. They need to put some money into the kids space. The big slide has a huge hole in it that they tried to duck tape up. The tape was coming off and little hands could get stuck and cut on that hole while going down the slide. It's a huge liability. The turf was worn down with big pockets underneath where the ground has eroded. My little kept tripping on those holes. We won't be back. Just super run down. read more
