One of the main workers/owners was unbelievably rude. My daughter dances at district dance right next door, so us moms will go to the Growler to maybe have a glass of wine, order dinner to take home, or order an app for our younger kiddos to snack on while we wait for dance class to be over. We always go to the side room (the newest addition) to give the kiddos space and to not disturb the other customers. We are all about supporting local businesses. The one mom has a baby (under a year old) who she was feeding and at the end she made a loud scream (maybe lasting 3 seconds). The tall worker peeked around the corner and gave a very dirty look. Then moments later he came over to us and said "there is a reason we don't have changing stations here, there is etiquette here and we cannot be having babies scream. you need to step outside if there is going to be a disturbance" and then rudely walked away..... now his delivery, demeanor, and presence was extremely off putting and rude. I walked back over and asked to speak to him. I told him the way he handled it was extremely rude and disrespectful and that the baby made a loud noise for a matter of seconds. He then told me again it's bar etiquette and we should step outside if the baby is yelling. I said this is also a restaurant and ive seen you serve a table with an entire family including kids. He said it's a bar with food and you're bringing a baby into a bar (implying we are ridiculous) if you've ever been to the growler the side room has leather couches and tables and a projector for entertainment.... It doesn't scream bar in this room where we have our children . I then asked do you have a sign that says kids are not allowed and he said no (At this moment a rude regular older man under his breath said I guess they need a sign.... Not very welcoming in my opinion) I asked him if he had kids and he said he did. I then asked if his kids have ever been in an establishment where they yelled and "ruined" the etiquette and he said yes and he stepped outside (bullshit). I told him again how he could've approached it differently and he apologized that I felt that way, not the way he handled it but that I felt that way. I further dug into their website and clicked on the tab that said VIBE... I scrolled down all the pictures and found one with a mom and dad holding a baby about the same age as the baby that supposedly caused this disturbance of etiquette tonight, seems a little contradictory to me. They also pride themselves on catering to the community and getting to know their neighbors and families. Well I guess only neighbors and family that don't have children. Very disappointing customer service. read more

It is 100% worth the drive to Fulshear to hang out here at the G spot. Probably the best variety of beers of any pub within 100 miles. The beers are chosen by a devoted crew that are craft beer connoisseurs. You will not find Bud Light and Coors light here. Come in here to enjoy a nice cold pint, relax in one of the many comfortable leather couches. Learn about craft beer, or enjoy an Astros game. Love this place. read more

They have about 40 craft taps that rotate all the time, great food (Malty Wrap is a personal fave), wine ON TAP, tons of TVs, games, and Geeks Who Drink trivia every Wednesday starting at 7:00. They also have a Crowler machine so they are able to can 32 oz beers to go. This is a place that feels warm and welcoming right when you walk in the door and the guys really know their beer. A great spot out on FM 1093. In a generic shopping center, and I was surprised at how spread out it is here. Long bar, a few TV's on turned to sports, but not intrusive at all. Some pub games, with couches and recliners. A somewhat sterile, but really relaxed vibe. Obviously a growler to go spot, but a great hang out spot as well. Service was great on my visit. Everyone here is really knowledgable, willing to talk shop, with recommendations if you need them. I can tell they really enjoy what they do. Selection is about 30 taps that rotate. Brash Fancy Sauce, plenty of Saint Arnold and No Label, including Perpetual Peace, Ballast Point, Yellow Rose, Live Oak Hefe. Among others. A really well done list. There is a small menu of apps and sandwiches. I had The Growler Dip, which is a roast beef dip. Not bad at all, filling and hit the spot. It was not exceptional, but what I needed at the time. Certainly not the best pub food I have had, but there are far worse, and nothing wrong with what they have as is. Overall, this is a great local spot for everyone in this area. My husband and I came here for the first time after eating next door at Yong's on a Saturday night. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor inside; nice wood laminate flooring, black leather sofas, clean and somewhat busy bar. The strange thing was, the bartenders never greeted us, had eye contact nor asked for our order. Even after my husband went and stood at the bar, he had to grab the bartender's attention to place our order. I would have expected a new place to be a little more welcoming or enthusiastic. The beer selection is off the chain, much better than WOB, or any other chain that sucks the majority of us in to spend a bunch of money at an overly-crowded, overly-priced city bar. No, Josh, the owner, doesn't give into all the brewery's sales pitch to buy the kegs they NEED to move.
