I was told to get initial lab work done which I did. I communicated via the app that Euphora uses the date of the labs, but they still asked me to complete the labs even after I got them done. I found that a little weird, but no big deal. When it was time for the first appointment, I showed up a few minutes early and a sign on the door told me to please knock or call. I did both multiple times, and no one came to the door. Eventually another patient just walked into the waiting room, so I followed. I had waited 13 mins and no one was at the front desk. The other patient yelled "hello?" and someone finally came to the desk to help. I found it odd there was a waiting room yet we were told to wait outside the office--there weren't even any chairs or anything to sit in. The person who took my vitals didn't introduce themselves. Dr. C came in promptly, and while she was great, she provided a very, very rushed physical. The appointment literally took maybe 4 or 5 mins. As the appointment was ending, I asked what ever happened to my bloodwork and she said they still didn't have it but she would check (I had the labs done 2 weeks prior!). As I was leaving and getting into my car, Dr. C called and said they did, in fact, have the bloodwork and went over everything with me. While I liked Dr. C overall, between no one being at the front desk at the time of appointments and a super rushed first visit, it was a kinda crummy first impression, enough to make me cancel. I hope that Euphora Health can have attentive staff and remember how important first impressions are to patients! I will be looking into other DPC options in the area moving forward.

It's a tragedy! =P…read more I'm rectifying it, now, with a slight modification of the same review I posted to CommUnityCare's yelp page. It's important that Dr. Mueller have individually recognition, as she's one of the bestest, sweetest, kindest, most-wonderfulest doctors in the world! Well, we can at least agree on "in this area," then... since, you know, I haven't been EVERYWHERE in the world. =P [Fine, be that way! ;P] So, here's the thing. When I went looking for a General Practioner, I was looking for one who wasn't a dick. I know, pretty uncouth! Listen, my couthness went south after all the trouble I'd seen. Seriously, it seems like, as a person... as a _patient_, you're expected to expend all this energy, and trust, and FAITH in a doctor that you've randomly picked from the wheel-o-physicians "helpfully" supplied by your HMO, or youv'e Googled and Yelped, and somehow managed to find someone with more than three-stars, but the sad facts are these, folks: 1) Doctors, typically, have nothing invested in YOU; 2) If their practices doesn't rise and fall on your IMMEDIATELY CHA-CHING, you can't go in expecting much; 3) If you're getting more than five minutes with 'em, you're getting more than MOST; 4) The aloofness and the discompassion seems to come with the lab coat; and 5) The trust you give -- the _trust_ you're demanded to give -- is rarely, if ever, returned. And when it is, watch out. Because "do no harm" seems to be a suggestion, these days, not a rule. So when you take all of this into consideration, the modern relationship between a doctor and a patient, it's easy to see why we're not interested in someone who's a total knob. We want someone we can connect with. We want someone we _can_ trust. We want someone who'll take the time, and seriously invest in our future. This is our _health_, after all! Our lives! We want someone who, maybe doesn't coddle us, okay, but who'll speak to us from the heart, or actually is capable of showing they have one! =P And that.. everything I said above [from a GP who wasn't a total knob (no half-measures, here! no knobiness, PERIOD!), to someone who spoke from the heart (and had an awfully BIG one)], well, that's exactly what I found nestled inside this small building in Manor, TX. My doctor, Dr. Lynda Mueller, was the epitome of compassion. From the second she opened the door and greeted me, to the second she took me in her arms and hugged me at the end of our appointment, Dr. Mueller was kind, and warm-- welcoming, and accepting. These things are important to me, especially at the start of a new relationship. Typically, I have huge amounts of anxiety before I have to do something. Whether it's going to an appointment, or just the fact that I have grocery shopping on my list, if I have to go somewhere and do something, I am everything about the word "uneasy." So, when she entered and looked at me with gentle concern (not over-concern, but you could just _tell_ she cared!), I knew I'd found my new doctor. Right then, and there, even before the rest of it, I just _knew_. And the "rest" of it, was equally as stellar! She listened with interest, asked thoughtful, logical questions, related to my concerns, and addressed each one of them, point-by-point. She tackled what I'd come for the same way I would have, and I took a lot of comfort in that! I found a lot of similarities between the two of us, during our half an hour together, and as unimportant as some might find that, to me it meant a lot. Being highly empathetic, I know when someone is being honest, or acting the part. I found Dr. Mueller compellingly trustworthy, and that's something I haven't found in many people who share her profession. Ultimatey, I could say more, but I've already said more than I'd planned. The thing is, Dr. Mueller deserves it. If you're still out there, desperately searching for someone reliable, someone you _can_ connect with, I URGE you to make an appointment. I live on the outskirts of Austin (countryside Pflugerville area) and the drive is a little longer than some might consider making. Trust me, though! I had three spinal injections done and i was in and out so fast. I could not believe the results. It is strange not to have pain in those particular spots . I went in today for my monthly follow up appointment. I had had a neck surgery last week which turned out to be extremely painful. I had been in the office the day after the surgery to receive some stronger medication while I healed. Today Dr. White walked in and I couldn't believe what followed. I had waited patiently for over an hour to see him. Then he finally came in and he was extremely agitated. So much so that he was shaking and pacing around the room. I started trying to tell him why I was requesting to see him instead of his PA this visit. He started cutting me off while I was talking, responding very rudely to what I was saying. Then he seemed to lose patience and launched into what turned out to be a 5 minute long assault on me and my character. He told me that I was a liar and a drug addict. He told me that I was obsessed with pain medication. When I tried to respond, surprised but calmly, he swore at me and told me he didn't care what I had to say. He cited early refills and multiple ER visits. When I tried to point out that I had never gone to the ER unless directed to do so by his office, I was again cut off and not allowed to speak. He continued on in a manner that I can only think to describe as cruel and abusive. I was cut off and shut down everytime I tried to speak or ask a question. This went on for almost 5 minutes and he ended by saying that I was to see their addiction specialist to be placed on Suboxone. Then he walked out. I was so shocked by his behavior that I just walked out without a word. To be clear, this is not about the accusation that I was addicted to pain medication. I have been on pain meds for a long time and Dr. White had some valid points. This is entirely about the way he handled it, the way I was treated. He was overly aggressive, too loud, he called me a liar and a drug addict repeatedly, he swore at me and kept cutting me off by telling me he "didn't give a damn" how I was feeling. I believe his attitude and his rant at me fall into the category of abusive. I felt so degraded and embarrassed by the time I left. Not to mention he has left me with only two days of medication left, shortly following a very painful neck surgery. I filed a complaint with Advanced Pain Care and may file one with the Texas Medical Board. What happened to me in that office today was not okay. I will never step foot into that facility again. Update: I spoke to the practice manager at Advanced Pain Care. According to her, the nurse in the room contradicted my complaints. She said the doctor was "stern" with me and never swore. While it's true he didn't cuss me out or anything, he did say "I don't give a damn what you feel about....". I felt it was inappropriate and unprofessional. As far as him being stern, that is a gross understatement. Apparently Dr. White expressed that he was only trying to help me. Well Dr. White, if you feel that's true then I'd like you to know that you have an *awful* way of showing it.

I utilized Ministering Physicians as my 87-year old Mother's Primary Care Provider. They came…read morehighly recommended from a friend who utilized them as their PCP for their aging parent. All preliminary contact and sharing of information gave me the initial confidence of a well run practice. However, approximately two-months into them overseeing my Mother's medical care, I have to confess this has been one of the most discouraging patient-medical practice relationships I have experienced. Most of my concerns "appear" to stem from the operations of the clinical and office support staff. I don't know exactly where their operational breakdowns have occurred, as getting any communication and/or response from the office (to include the Medical Director) has been difficult at best. In defense of the Physician who examined my Mother, I was most pleased with his examination and subsequent medical recommendations made regarding my Mother's medical needs. However, every other element of the Practice failed. Communication and follow-through within the Practice is abysmal. The Practice did not follow-up on the Physician's Orders on medication removal or additions from her appointment with either myself or my Mother's senior living facility. This has put my Mother's overall health and safety at risk. In conclusion, I was very encouraged by the Physician's interest and assessment in providing my Mother with the best possible care. However, from an outcome based perspective, regardless of how credible the Physician might be, if those assessments and Orders don't get communicated to those entities implementing the actual care to the patient, the Physician's competency is academic. Hopefully, my experience is an anomaly, but tread with caution and ensure you do your due diligence in monitoring the full operation. Check and double-check that all encounter decisions are actually implemented.

Sept. 2024 . . . I have been a patient of Dr. Johnson's since 2016 and she has addressed and treated my basal and squamous cell cancers throughout the years! Because of my skin cancer episodes and that melanoma runs in my family, I see Dr. Johnson at 6-month intervals. Dr. Johnson is a great communicator with stellar dermatology expertise.
