Texas Health Presbyterian Plano - Labor & Delivery 5 Stars…read more December 17, 2025 Our second birth experience here was significantly better than our first. We had an excellent delivery team, and our doctor, Dr. Garrett H. Garner, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., has now delivered both of our babies. He is skilled, calm, and professional -- but also funny, informative, and great at keeping things light even in the delivery room, which helped make a normally stressful situation feel much more relaxed. We are very grateful for the level of care he provides. The nursing staff was attentive, kind, and helpful throughout labor, delivery, and recovery, and we appreciated their support and communication during our stay. Our recovery room was smaller than the one we had during our first delivery, but it was also noticeably cleaner, which made a positive difference during our postpartum stay. As a fun note, I made my wife the viral Mommy Mocktail (Sprite, cranberry juice, and orange juice) that has been trending on TikTok, and she enjoyed it during recovery. We are grateful for Dr. Garner, our delivery team, and the nursing staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Plano, and we would recommend this labor and delivery team to other families.

Anna my father's second nurse was also wonderful. The doctors, nurses, therapists and everyone I spoke to were super friendly and helpful. When I had to leave my dad I felt that he was in safe hands and would be well taken care of. My problem didn't arise until I tried to get my dad's caseworker Natali to help me send my dad to another facility because I was worried about my father's safety at the facility he came from. She absolutely would NOT help me get my father to a facility that I felt he was going to be safer at. She informed me it did not matter that I was his POA and his only point of contact. I had transportation lined up and the facility was waiting to take my father but Natali thought she knew better than I did what my father needed. I even sent her the Texas law number stating a concerned family member can remove a loved one from an usafe facility but she refused to acknowledge anything I was saying. So, while I say if your loved one ends up in ICU know they'll be in safe hands. But if you end up with Natali as a caseworker and you're tyring to protect a loved one, I would suggest having an attorney on hand and every legal document you can find because she simply will NOT help you protect your loved ones.

I've been to plenty of ERs throughout the U.S., but this one is definitely on my, "Caution, find another ER list." Obviously hospitals are short and there are a shortage of medical professionals, but my goodness it is called an emergency room for a reason. This place doesn't seem to know who they have seen and who they haven't. They called names of people who were checked out for hours. People are coming in for heart attacks, severe breathing problems, severe bleeding, kidney stones and the list goes on. With all of that being said hours and hours later they sit and wait. Although everyone is sitting in the emergency room it doesn't seem as if anyone's needs are being seen as an emergency. The only thing that I can say is please think twice before bringing your loved ones to this emergency room. A patient advocate should interview every patient that was admitted today. Very sad state of affairs.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am writing to share feedback regarding my hospital stay following surgery on Monday, January 19, 2026. I was hospitalized on January 19 and 20 and discharged on January 21, 2026. Overall, my experience from pre-op through recovery and the PCU was positive and supportive. However, my interaction with a Medical Assistant named Wendy during the night shift on January 20, 2026, was deeply concerning. From the beginning of her shift, Wendy's behavior felt dismissive and unprofessional. During her first set of vital signs, she did not introduce herself or acknowledge me. I had to stop her to ask who she was. Throughout the night, she rolled her eyes, slammed doors during early morning vital checks, and created unnecessary noise during a time when patients are trying to rest. When I needed assistance getting out of bed, I was made to feel like an inconvenience for asking. Because of the bed alarm, my husband could not safely help me. Later, when my husband asked if he could get ice water for himself, her response was visibly frustrated. She huffed and slammed the door as she left the room. About twenty minutes later, she returned to reconnect me to monitoring equipment and appeared irritated with how my pillows were positioned. She removed two twined blankets and placed them on my chest, leaving my arms and legs exposed. When I asked for more ice water, she replied that she had just given me some. I explained that the water had been for my husband. She rolled her eyes and walked away without addressing my request. I reported my concerns to the nurse in charge. From that point forward, the care I received from Nurse Eirene was outstanding. She treated me with dignity, compassion, and professionalism, consistent with how she had cared for me throughout the shift. Approximately one hour before shift change on January 21, Wendy returned to take my final vital signs and offered a quiet apology. She stated that the ice water issue was due to confusion, saying she thought I was NPO, despite the fact that my surgery had occurred two days prior and she had seen me eating dinner. She also said her behavior stemmed from being passionate about patient care. The apology did not align with her repeated actions throughout the night and did not feel reflective of accountability. I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years, including 20 years as a medic in the United States Air Force. I understand the realities of night shift work and the demands placed on staff. Even so, dismissive behavior and lack of basic courtesy should never be part of a patient's experience, especially for someone recovering from surgery. I am sharing this feedback out of professional responsibility, not anger. No patient should feel like a burden or hesitate to ask for help. I hope this experience is reviewed and addressed appropriately. I would also like to acknowledge the many staff members who provided excellent care and made my stay worthwhile. Sheila, Marisol, Maria, Kelcey, Eirene, and Tierra each demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness that truly mattered during my recovery. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. Sincerely, Dr. Giselle Moody

When I arrived at the…read moreemergency room tell me why my dad smelled of a combination of urine, blood, and bile, and no one thought to try and make sure it was sanitary for my dad so it didn't lead to an infection. I went in the emergency room with my sister only to find my dad unconscious with blood around his neck, and the nurses verbatim said "If I knew he was having visitors I would've changed his sheets" well you should've changed them anyway??? What does me being there have to do if you give a patient clean sheets. At some point he gets transferred to ICU, they put all the oxygen in his veins, all the medical equipment they can possibly attach to him. They have trouble getting him to stabilize, however in the midst of hooking up all the machines to him like the oxygen there's five doctors in the room initially. They tell us they're still running tests he is highly sensitive and to let him rest and wait in the waiting room. I barely get any updates unless it came from the head of the ICU, and even then it's just bad news after bad news. His body doesn't stabilize, he enters cardiac arrest, and he passes away. So after watching my dad physically leave this earth, I'm waiting for the Chaplin to arrive. I never had to deal with death to this capacity before. I'm waiting atleast a hour + on the Chaplin to arrive. Finally when he does arrive he gives a grievance folder and basically says hey you have to choose immediately if you're going to burry him, cremate him etc. I'm still waiting on his ashes, but since the hospital doesn't follow protocol and isn't under compliance we have a funeral checking in on our behalf , so I can properly grieve in peace. His name is Daniel Dwayne Heskett and he died at the age of 61. I truly believe in this case it was hospital negligence. Thank you for your time. A grieving daughter Ann Elizabeth Heskett UPDATE : So under Texas law the death certificate should've been filed by Jan 8th. The doctor has signed Jan. 9th. The only reason why the doctor had signed on Jan. 9th is because I had to call pastoral care and speak with the Chaplin to ask why my dad's death certificate still hasn't been sign. Only for the doctor to text the Chaplin "I'm sorry I'll do that today" Jan. 8th I sent an email to patient relation wanting to be provided with the reasoning as to why the death certificate signature took so long, why was there a delay when cause of death was natural / cardiac arrest. Never did I receive a response back from the hospital. The Chaplin just tells me that the doctor is busy. Busy? Too busy to sign a death certificate and follow Texas law protocol when it comes to the dead? That's interesting. I'm filing a complaint against this hospital, and I'm also filing a review for my dad's death certificate to get a reason as to why it took so long file his death certificate. It's sad that the hospital doesn't keep you informed and for someone like me who hasn't gone through death in this capacity before have to call and make sure people are doing their job. But hey maybe this will inform others not to take their love ones here if they can help it

**Complaint Regarding Dr. Krupa Patel and Methodist Richardson Renner Gastroenterology**…read more My name is Chelsea Edwards, and I am submitting this complaint regarding my treatment and subsequent dismissal as a patient by Dr. Krupa Patel at Methodist Richardson Renner Gastroenterology. I have been a highly complex gastrointestinal patient under the care of this practice since approximately September 2024. My medical history includes significant gastrointestinal disease and multiple major abdominal surgeries, making continuity of care especially important. Due to the complexity of my medical condition, I have relied heavily on specialty gastroenterology care for ongoing management and treatment. Approximately six to eight months ago, I had a difficult encounter with a nurse practitioner within the practice. During that interaction, there was a disagreement, and I expressed my intention to file a complaint with the Board of Nursing regarding my concerns about that encounter. Following discussions with upper-level management within the practice, a decision was made that I would no longer see that specific nurse practitioner. However, I was specifically informed that I could remain a patient of Dr. Krupa Patel and continue receiving care through the practice. Following that incident, I had no further conflicts, confrontations, or negative interactions with Dr. Patel. In fact, I did not see or speak with Dr. Patel after that event. There were no discussions regarding concerns about my behavior, no warnings, no requests for a behavioral agreement, and no indication that my relationship with Dr. Patel was in jeopardy. In recent months, my health began to decline. I developed worsening esophageal symptoms and believed I required an esophageal dilation, a procedure I have needed in the past. As my symptoms worsened, I repeatedly contacted the office seeking assistance. Numerous telephone calls were made to the practice, and multiple portal messages were sent. These communications should be documented within the medical record and communication system. During this time, I repeatedly sought help but felt I was given inconsistent information and delayed responses. Despite my efforts, I was unable to obtain timely intervention for my worsening condition. What is most troubling to me is that I never personally spoke with Dr. Patel regarding my concerns. I was never given an opportunity to discuss my symptoms directly with her, nor was I informed that my status as a patient was under review. Instead, while actively seeking medical care for a worsening illness, I was abruptly informed that I had been discharged from the practice. If the physician truly believed that the therapeutic relationship had become irreparably damaged months earlier, I question why that determination was not made at that time. The practice had every opportunity to formally discharge me following the earlier disagreement involving the nurse practitioner. Instead, management specifically chose to keep me under Dr. Patel's care. It was only after I became ill and began requesting evaluation and treatment that I was suddenly dismissed from the practice. I am also confused by the language contained within the discharge notice. The letter reportedly stated that Dr. Patel would continue to provide emergency care for a period of 30 days. If my conduct was truly so problematic that dismissal was necessary, then it seems contradictory that the physician would still agree to provide emergency medical services during that transition period. This raises legitimate questions regarding the actual basis for the dismissal. Equally concerning is that I never received proper notice of the discharge in a timely manner. I was actively attempting to obtain medical care while unaware that the practice had terminated the physician-patient relationship. As a result, I was left without access to the specialist who had been managing my complex gastrointestinal conditions and was forced to seek alternative care during a period of medical instability. I fully understand that physicians generally have the legal right to terminate a physician-patient relationship when done appropriately and in accordance with professional standards. However, my concern is not merely that I was discharged. My concern is the timing, circumstances, and manner in which it occurred. As a medically complex patient experiencing active symptoms, I felt abandoned during a period when I was seeking necessary medical treatment. To this day, I cannot identify any interaction between Dr. Patel and myself that would justify such an abrupt decision. We had no personal conflict, no hostile encounters, and no discussions suggesting that she no longer wished to serve as my physician. Because of this, I am left with the impression that the decision may have been influenced by information or opinions unrelated to my direct interactions with Dr. Patel rather than based upon her own experiences with me as a patie
