The medical student was also very kind and attentive, asking thoughtful questions and making me feel comfortable. From start to finish, the entire team made me feel welcomed and reassure that there is a solution to the issues I've been experiencing. I truly appreciate the care and attention I received and would highly recommend them.

From our first visit, I felt the physician's bedside manner was lacking. He spent very little time with my daughter, and nearly all communication, including the preoperative instructions and answering questions was handled by the nursing staff. As a parent, I expect the surgeon performing my child's procedure to be available to discuss concerns and explain the plan of care. That did not happen. Our biggest concern came during the preoperative appointment when we were told that, after surgery, the only pain medication recommended would be over-the-counter Tylenol. I expressed that I was worried this would not provide adequate pain control and that effective pain management is essential to helping children stay hydrated, eat, and recover successfully after a tonsillectomy. The response was that my daughter would receive a lollipop to help numb her throat, but we were instructed not to use ibuprofen because of the potential increased risk of bleeding. When I mentioned that several families I know were instructed by their ENT specialists to alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen after surgery, I was told that this office follows its own policy regardless of what other physicians recommend. I was also concerned that the procedure was scheduled at an outpatient surgical center rather than discussing whether a children's hospital might be a more appropriate setting for a pediatric patient. I do not question the surgeon's technical ability or surgical skill. However, I believe postoperative planning and communication are just as important as the procedure itself. As a parent, I left feeling that my concerns were dismissed and that I was not adequately prepared to help my daughter through a successful recovery. For those reasons, we chose to cancel the surgery and seek a second opinion.

Service was excellent. I was searching for an ENT specialist to fix my eardrums. My insurance app…read morefound this location being flexible and easy to get appointments. First time here, I didn't have any issues. The doctor gave me a medication. It kind of fixed the problem but I think the symptoms went away on its own. Other than a shocking side effects that almost sent me to the emergency room, I was back to normal. My second time here was to get an allergy test before they can formulate the serum for my allergy shot. Ok. This seems pretty simple. I followed the instructions to prepare my test. I didn't have to wait. The staff poked me a few times (about 82 times) and generated a report. Then, the doctor came in to explain the results and the next step. There were two options, daily drop under the tongue or weekly shots. I thought it was bothersome and expensive for daily dose, nearly $400 for 3 months. He said weekly shots are about the same price. Treatments would last 3 years or longer. I told him I can't do it now because I have some major events I need to attend. He said it would take time to formulate the serum anyway. I was happy that test was done with no side effects. But I am in pain for my wallet. Upon check out, I almost fall to the floor. They charged over $600, including copay for the test. I didn't get any warning. Ugh. I'm so upset and not going back again. I can't afford to get the shots, not even one drop. Tomorrow is the first, the rent needs to be paid. Update: a day later, I called my insurance company and asked them if this provider sent in my procedure for approval. The response was shocking. Nope. So, I removed another star.

Then they need a credit card before you can complete it which turned me off, then you get an email bill which says it's not a bill but you may be charged out of nowhere and thats stressful, plus it's in same building as Sara Goel whom I reported to Texas Medical Board and many reviews complain of illegal billing practices on their insurance on Google and Yelp which made me cancel my appointment immediately this morning! I did it online said cancelled and I took screenshot and also called because they are sneaky. They answer the phone promptly and in a friendly way every time. I've used other audiologists but for the past 7 years I've found a home here for my hearing care, even tho I have to drive an hour to get to Huntsville, it's WELL worth the drive. Dr. Cahill will spend the time you need to get your devices tuned properly and can even do remote-care to make adjustments from the comfort of home. A++

I saw Dr. Cahill in Huntsville to get new hearing aids in Sept through Nov. 2018. Great experience. I was a bit of a difficult patient/customer but was treated with the utmost respect and patience. Dr. Cahill took the time to explain all of my questions over numerous appointments until all of my concerns were addressed and I felt like I had the best possible hearing solution I could find. I can't finish this review without giving additional kudos to the staff of the Family Hearing Center. They are efficient, pleasant, knowledgable and a pleasure to do business with. Changing appointments was not a problem, cranky moods (mine) were dealt with nicely, and I always felt like I was a number #1 priority. Why? I'm not sure, but there you go. I couldn't have been happier with the whole process, especially because I had put it off and dreaded it for so long. I can hear again. My husband is happy, my kids and friends are happy and most of all I am happy.
