Great Dr and staff. In and out surgery and no complications afterwards. They take time to answer all your questions and make sure you're informed. If you have surgery here, make sure to follow the great post op instructions they give you. Rinse rinse rinse and you'll heal quicker. Think you rinsed enough for the day, do it again. Before I came to HSA, I could not breathe through my nose. At all. Sleeping had become difficult and I had consistent headaches. I was worried I would never feel back to normal and healthy, but Dr. Nguyen and his amazing staff changed that for me! From the moment I met them I knew I was in good hands! Best of Worst On Follow-Up We went in during first week of January then 3 weeks later after following an acid reflux treatment with no change. Dr. Nguyen wanted to give another 3 weeks with sane treatment but we didn't want to wait since acid reflux was merely guessing what it was. Were told we would get a call within about 2 days to advise of surgical fees for recommended procedure. Called 3 times to ask for costs. Calls have not been returned and it's been 5 weeks since first visit. We have since been to see another specialist who advised us not to wait any longer, in case the white spots in larnyx are something serious. I have no doubt that this doctor is good at what he does- but laryngotomy is obviously not his field of either enough knowledge or specialty, since he cannot recognize a potentially serious case. Nor, does he have the courtesy to refer one else where and admit he is second class. "Best" is the furthest of how he is described in our case. If you have a basic, simple, recurring sinus infection-maybe then he's your guy and thinks inside the box -no problem. In our case, he was $400 ill-spent. Unfortunately, the loss was ours, monetarily-since he got paid for his time and we got ignored. Very low quality medical service and follow-thru. read more

Dr Nguyen is a genius, professional and understanding individual. This morning my hearing was 50% at best, I just left Dr Nguyen's office and hearing is back to 100%. The combination of his professional work attitude and kind soul makes Dr Nguyen one of the kindest professionals I have ever met. My brother had went and he has autism but had to go by himself, and they did all these tests to charge him hundreds only to tell us that he needed to rinse his nose with a Neto bottle and spray? No prescription or anything and they ran up a tab on my unknowing brother. We have health insurance and he presented all the right info and yet got up charged. read more

Dr. Nguyen is the most down to earth and professional doctor I have ever visited. Came in with an ear infection, that I've had over a month. Been to three different doctors and still haven't got rid of the ear infection. Visited Dr. Nguyen and he cleaned my ear and prescribed me the right medicine and ear drops. Came back for my follow up and the ear infection was gone. Can't Thank Dr. Nguyen enough. Will Definitely refer friends to come get their ears cleaned here and come if they have an ear infection. Had a horrible sinus infection last year that after 3 months, 5 visits to my PCP & no luck treating it, came to Dr.Nguyen. He treated me with a mail-order prescription sinus wash & I had major improvement. Additionally, he treated allergies I didn't know I had, resulting in even further improvement. Although keeping up with nasal sprays was annoying at first, following through with his treatment has really worked. I was constantly exhausted from poor sleep, but now I'm breathing the best I have in an entire year. Apart from the treatment being well prescribed, Dr. Nguyen is one of those unicorn, mythical doctors that truly listens to you. I've had way too many doctors focus on just getting patients in & out as fast as possible, or doctors who don't seem to take me seriously (bc I look young or bc I'm a woman idk), but I always feel that Dr. Nguyen listens & gives me his attention. I ask several questions to doctors, & he always takes the time to explain everything in detail (I like to understand the 'why' & 'how' behind treatments). He's a great doctor that I trust, & I plan to get deviated septum/turbinate reduction surgery with him next year. read more

UPDATE: One year after Dr. Nguyen performed a sinus surgery on me, he had to refer me to another ENT because I still had breathing issues and because he does not do a particular procedure related to the throat. However on his website (and google search keywords) he claims to do various surgeries related to the throat and/or sleep apnea but when you have a consultation with him and inquire about these surgeries. He will tell you that he does not do them!! This is false advertisement. Truthfully the only surgery he does is balloon sinuplasty, turbinate reduction, and septoplasy because they are IN-OFFICE procedures. This is where he makes all of his money! He even has a CT Scan machine in his practice so they don't have to send you to an imaging facility. So you can imagine how rich this doctor is. I agree with what a previous reviewer said on google, this would certainly explain the advertising video that you will watch in the lobby that only pushes these particular procedures and nothing else related to the field of Otolaryngology. This video shows several people with a breathing issue of various causes. However the video shows how doctor Nguyen was supposedly able to treat each patient with the SAME "in-office procedure" which just so happens to be balloon sinuplasty, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction. Yeah right! Don't be fooled people, depending on the cause and severity of your breathing issue you may need plastic surgery, or referral to a pulmonologist (aka the real breathing specialist). Don't be a victim of false advertisement because the video shows people that are supposed to be a carbon copy of you in order to sell you are service!. For example, One person in the video has sleep apnea, another person had a childhood trauma to the nose, another person has horrible allergies. Also beware of other ENT doctors as well because I have noticed a pattern of this type of False Advertisement. Keep in mind that otolaryngology/ENT doctors are trained to treat and/or perform surgery on any condition related to the ears, nose, or throat (including the thyroid). However, after you make an appointment and paid your copay, you are often told that the doctor only handles"allergy/sinus issues" . This is because that is where the money is nowadays. Especially given the high number of children with allergies/sinus issues and all of the allergy medicines pushed by the pharmaceutical companies. If you have problems with your ears, throat, or sleep disordered breathing DO YOUR RESEARCH before making an appointment with an ENT/otolaryngolgoy specialist.. Ask to speak with doctor's the nurse or medical assistant and be sure to get their name. Then, if you get to the appointment and the doctor says "I don't do handle that area", ask for your copay to be waived or ask for a refund!! Don't wast your money on useless procedures.
