Dr Wani was 1 hour late to my appointment. No one came in to tell me he was delayed. When I asked him about it he just shrugged his shoulders and said he was running late. He had no idea about the history of my left ear and was asking me about it. When I asked the staff about no one telling me he was running late no one said anything. Between being 1 hour late to my appointment and not knowing my history or anything I am really beginning to loose confidence as to the care I get at Texas ENT. I need someone who is knowledgeable of my ear history and is patient first and keeps me informed of delays. I feel at present no one cares about the delay or how I feel. read more

An Employee of Texas ENT called me and told me I have an appointment scheduled for my hearing aids. I was driving and since my hearing aids are at Texas ENT being serviced, I told her I couldn't hear and because I was driving I couldn't write. I requested that she text the appointment. She said she wouldn't text but I would be sent a notice of the appointment. I wasn't. I called back and held and eventually indicated through the prompts that I would like to be called back. Dr. Jensen, and HIS OFFICE STAFF in the Sugar Land clinic, are AMAZING! Working directly with that team is incredible. Texas ENT's ONLINE/CALL CENTER STAFF IS GARBAGE. Those people are uninsightful, and when you ask questions to challenge their incompetent answers they get an attitude and talk over you. They do not listen, and they are of zero help getting anything resolved. Every time they call me back, it is with an answer that does not align with the question that I asked. They are a huge waste of time and energy. You cannot convince me that those people are "nurses." I would rather drive up to Dr Jensen's office and talk to his front desk staff who are phenomenal to work with, than get on the phone with those online people. And why is it that I cannot call directly to my doctor's office anyway? Why am I forced to talk to humans who are nothing but an answering service answering phones with no common sense? That is incredibly annoying. If I did not love Dr Jensen and his office team so much, I would find another ENT to go to. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Dickey's for 45+ years. A couple of years after he retired, I called to get my records only to find out that his practice, Rosewood ENT, had been bought out by Texas ENT. I was in Texas ENT's system, but they didn't have my records because they had purged all Rosewood ENT patient records. I would think that Texas ENT would have contacted Rosewood ENT patients saying something like; "Rosewood ENT is now Texas ENT. We look forward to providing for your ENT health care needs.", but they didn't. They purged Rosewood records because they were only required by law to keep them for a certain amount of time. That's fine, but I expect them to have had enough respect for Rosewood patients to contact us to let us know our records were going to be purged, giving us a chance to get copies before they were purged. When I last had an ear infection, I had to see my PCP first to get a referral. The doctor he referred me to may have been a great doctor, but he was with Texas ENT. I contacted my PCP's office and got a referral to another doctor. I won't do business with any company like Texas ENT. I don't feed the hand that bit me. read more

Phone staff are terrible. We have been patients of Texas ENT for years and referred many friends, but we will now be moving to a different provider. I have tried multiple times to get answers to questions about services but the person answering the phones is rude, not at all helpful, and doesn't know anything about what the provider does or doesn't do. We simply wanted to find out about sleep study procedures. This persons only answers are "I don't know", and after my moment of silence from the shock - she hung up on me with no "thank you" "goodbye", nothing! Too bad the physicians are connected with what is going on in their office, because seeing all the other bad reviews I'm not the only patient having a bad experience. read more

A few things prompt my review, and it is not the service I received from the physician; it is the office support staff, scheduling department, insurance, and billing. It is hard to find reviews on Texas ENT specialists, which is by design. I searched fairly deep and was only able to find their website (which includes no phone number), articles on a class action lawsuit for a data breach, and Yelp reviews. The support staff, surprisingly an office manager, was rude on every visit. They have a line of iPads to sign in for your visits, which I never could make work. I had to approach the reception desk; they would work like they didn't see me, and then when I would get their attention, they would tell me to check in at the iPads. The other issue is that they had orders put in for a sleep study; this was after they had already sold and made me complete an at-home study with the WatchPat. I followed up for months with the vendor they selected, and they would tell me that TX ENT never sent the notes needed to get the sleep study approved with my insurance. After the sleep study was completed, I had to call TX ENT repeatedly to schedule my follow-up. Up until the day of my appointment, they had never received my sleep study results. It then came time to schedule my Inspire sleep implant. I had spoken with the coordinator of benefits so many times because I had a complicated insurance situation with multiple insurance carriers. A few days before the surgery, they informed me that the pre-authorizations were calculated incorrectly and that one of the insurance disapproved the pre-auth because I did not meet their standards of needing the device. I had a balance I was unprepared to pay at the last minute. They even talked about moving my procedure after I had taken time off work and prepared. To this day, I am still receiving bills from TX ENT from 13 months ago. I paid the balance, and they just hit me with a new bill. Most of the balances are small, and they give random excuses as to why the balance is a moving target. Personally, I will not be returning to TX ENT for anything. The care was ok, but the headache around every other aspect made it not worth the hassle. read more

Evidently poor reviews do not affect their business but I am very disappointed. I checked into my appointment at 10:20 for 10:30 appointment. I was a new patient, I was told to have a seat. The receptionist worked on the computer about 10 minutes later calls me to her desk. I complete a consent form and give her my information. Then I waited and waited. I waited an hour and went to the receptionist desk to see when I will be called. She said there was one more patient in front of me. Nope, refund my copay and I left. Double and triple booking appointments do not make for patient satisfaction. I will not return. read more

I am posting this on google reviews and here on yelp in the hopes that it saves just one person from the callousness of this facility: I cannot speak for the doctors themselves. This review is solely based on the front office staff. My husband arrived with our 2 year old daughter who was referred to this office by her pediatrician because she might have something stuck up her nose which is causing infection. First off, the front staff told us that we needed a referral. I had already confirmed by calling my insurance company that we did not need a referral for our plan. She refused and had me doing the run around with my drs office. I decided to call the insurance again, and again, confirmed that we did not need a referral. BCBS called the office themselves to tell them that we did not need a referral. Suddenly, it comes out that it was their Texas ENT office policy that we would need a referral; not the insurance. This office girl never once said that. Fine--the wheels were already in motion to get the referral since I had already contacted the dr. After an hour, it turns out we weren't even in their network. I take responsibility in that I should have checked, but isn't it also the offices expertise to verify insurance and coverage? You had my husband and sick daughter waiting for over an hour, and you couldn't even provide the slightest bit of compassion or care. If people get on your nerves that badly, maybe you should consider a new profession. I called Clear Lake Medical Center ENT and was treated with respect. Please steer clear of this office. read more

I called and explained I had received from another hospital provider a specific diagnosis related to an acute throat issue. When I asked to be directed to one or more Texas ENT Specialists who are experienced in this type of issue, I was told by a scheduling manager that "any provider we have is qualified to treat you." I pushed back and explained I am looking for the correct type of specialist, not just any ENT doctor. Again, I was told "any provider we have is qualified." I found that answer both inaccurate and misleading. A quick review of the website shows that many Texas ENT Specialists have specialties unrelated to the throat, including those who focus their practice on ear canal, sinus, etc. And that is what I would expect from a group of doctors who title themselves "ENT Specialists". But the blatant misrepresentation by the scheduler means this medical practice is misleading potential patients. read more

They are out of network of all insurance for hearing aid. They will not tell you this until the fitting visit where they break the news. Very unprofessional, extremely unacceptable to drag elderly to your place and do all the testing , send a bill and then say we are out of network of all insurance plans for hearing aids. Double check your statement as they coded Nasal endoscopy which didn't happen and they charged us for it. Dr Toung is good physician, but I have no respect to the office transparency any longer. read more

My wife was seen by the audiologist at the Webster location on Nov. 1st, 2022 and today is the 29th of November and we still are waiting on a report about her hearing issues. Have tried calling and nobody answers the phone. Not really sure what the problem is but being non responsive is the lowest form of poor customer service possible. read more

I called and scheduled an appt. for 9/24/2021 and received an email confirmation and link to fill out some forms. I did as instructed and arrived 10 minutes early for my appt. Upon checking in, I was told my appt. was for 10/22/2021 and not 9/24. I took her word for it and when I got in my car, I pulled up the email confirmation which stated 9/24. I went back in, showed her the email and her response was "someone messed up and I may be able to get you in earlier but not today". No apology or remorse on behalf of their staff. She was rude and made me feel like it was my fault. This is the Pinecroft location and I have since cancelled the appt. Most of my family has been to this office and we will not be returning. read more

Drs are great...but there office staff horrible for the following reasons: 1. You can NEVER speak to a live person. You must ALWAYS leave a voicemail. 2. The office staff is completely incompetent. For example, I was supposed to have surgery the day after Labor Day (Tuesday). I had my pre-op appoint the Friday of Labor Day weekend. I was then told that I needed the following: bloodwork and a release from my cardiologist. I was literally on my way out of town after I had the pre-op. Because of their lack of planning and communication, I had to reschedule my appointment for the following month. 3. There is NO communication between staff. One nurse/office staff will tell you one thing, talk to someone else and it is a different story. Apparently the drs do not care how their office is run. It is a shame that the drs do not care how their office is run. I will never refer anyone to Texas ENT. This is their daily job....you would think the office staff and nurses would know how to do it....... read more

I saw dr higgs today they had me come in for office visit. Told him about pain was going to call in script yey sleep tonight! But no the nurse had not called it I , still had time I called and reminded her with message went back later still not filled pharmacy didn't have it! Called nurse again they are gone!!! I had a great 1st visit, but I have not been able to reach anyone since. I can't schedule a follow-up, no one has called to go over my test results. I have no idea what to do from here. This review is for the office staff, not the dr. First appointment at Webster office was fine, they were friendly in a cold kind of way! The problem was after procedure and trying to get information on what steps are taken next. The people who answer the phones at Pearland office are very rude. They make you feel stupid when asking questions. And the tone of their voice was unbelievable. I am very confused and I think I will just find another office. What can I say, when you have the good fortune to find a person who cares it is awesome, when you find an entire doctor's office who cares it is beyond belief. My mother, who is over 80 years old, has had trouble with her hearing for quite a while; two ruptures of ear drums, pain, and loss of most of her hearing. One day something happened and she had complete hearing loss and was in considerable pain, making this a very painful and scary time for her. My sister tried to get her into an ENT, but insurance issues for Mom and the ENT office's inability to find a way to see her, left my sister with the only option of an ER visit. The PA who saw her in the hospital called an ENT that was associated with the hospital and explained the situation to him. His response was immediate, bring her to me, even though it was a late Friday afternoon and they were at least 30 minutes away. I met them at the Texas ENT Specialists office in Pearland. There we were met with a caring staff who worked Mom into their busy schedule. When Dr. Johnigan came in, he took time to listen to us and work with Mom who was in pain and unable to understand all that was going on. He never rushed, taking time to understand her current situation. He explained his findings to us and answered our questions thoroughly. He even performed a simple test to prove that her hearing loss was not permanent. We were never hurried. We were impressed from the time we entered the office to the time we left. I made an appointment for my son, who needs to be seen due a broken nose. I got to my appointment, and my son was coming from somewhere else to meet me. I had a confirmation on my phone and another reminder on my phone to fill out paperwork for the appt. When I got to the office I was told that the appointment was scheduled for a different day AND the office acted like it was somehow my fault. I showed them the confirmation on my phone and told them I called and spoke to someone. They asked who I spoke to...uhhhh? What? Then had a very rude interrogation style line of questioning about previous appointments I had to to reschedule to accommodate my son's school schedule and/or testing schedule. I called my son to tell him not to come and went back up to reception to cancel any "upcoming scheduled" appointments, made without my consent, only to be told, very rudely, that they (telephone schedule dept.) shouldn't have made an appointment for me because one wasn't available, but that I could wait to see if a dr. would be willing to see my son. You know what? No thanks...I will make an appointment at a friendlier, more customer service oriented facility. Actually, appalling. read more

Doc Castillo rocks, staff has always been friendly and timely, but you better ask what you'll be billed for in advance!!! Doctor Castillo worked wonders on my sinuses last year, and I don't want this 2 star review to reflect negatively on his work because he's phenomenal, but I was PISSED to receive a bill on top of my regular visit copay after seeing him for a sinus infection recently. Apparently, if he asks "can I take a look up there" and uses his scope for 5 minutes, you're going to pay out the nose for that little inspection that satisfies his curiosity! Little did I know this office has been billing my insurance for this service in the past, but only when he writes it in his "notes", and he doesn't do that consistently either as I've been scoped on EVERY visit but that fails to show in the records provided to the billing office. I'll never be back, and I'll never recommend this doctor or Texas ENT to anyone again. read more

I brought my toddler in for a simple audiology visit and was left to wait in the waiting from for an hour and 45 min., only to be led back in to the waiting room for another half hour to complete the visit with the doctor. I showed up 15 min early because I am respectful of others time, unlike Texas Ent. There was a confusing computer registration that was operating at a sub-par level and not enough staff to help with patients. After my son had his exam we were informed to come back and repeat the process all over again because there weren't any results produced. Upon check out, I was told I owed $150 for the visit after I had given the staff my very good insurance that is accepted almost everywhere. They didn't bother to verify my insurance and then expected me to pay a large amount of money without any explanation. The woman would provide me with no break down of payment or any financial receipt when asked for it. Also, Dr. Castillo was cold, asked only one question, and provided me with no info. His nurse was far more knowledgeable. The doc called in a prescription that was $199 nose spray and completely unnecessary. Dr. Castillo is out of touch and the entire office seemed understaffed and not there to work for patients, rather to work for a pay check. read more
