I advised her that I had 3 ultrasounds collected on my abdomen (external and internal) as I had pain from what I thought was a hernia. they found a mass in my uterus and a 3mm mass on my left kidney. I explained to her that I understand most holistic practices and know how I'd like to approach the issues. I wanted to talk those out with the dr, get her feedback or suggestions and have her monitor the progress. the upping last assured me that would not be an issue. I get to the appointment, pay and spent the next 45 minutes taking with the Dr who did nothing but assume diagnoses even when I said I didn't have certain things (I.e, sleep apnea, lymes disease). she would even write referrals after I said I knew I did not have these issues. I am a 42 year old woman, 5ft 10in, 165 pounds, very active, in the gym 6 days a week. I do not have a tongue tie, weight problem or sleep apnea. My focus is my uterus pain and my kidney. When I tried to talk to her about the issues, I was there for she let me know that she hasn't even looked at the ultrasound reports and wanted to refer me to have it done again. I told her if I was to have anything else done I would prefer an MRI so that we can get a better understanding of what was going on and she said she would would prefer that I just have an ultrasound done, external and internal. I explained again that I already had that done and it was a very in-depth report. She then left the room to go get the reports... They were not even in the file that she had in her hand. when she came back, I told her that I would like to do a parasite cleanse and also monitor my estrogen as I was estrogen dominan which could prompt the growth on my uterus. she said she would not do that and would prefer to look at all the other things that she had mentioned, and was not even concerned about the ultrasound reports that I had done as they may not be correct. She also told me I should get a pap smear...I asked why she would tell me that. She said "it is always good to have your routine check ups" nope. at this point I was intern upset and shut down. She never went into depth about anything concerning my estrogen dominance, my abdominal pain related to what they found on the ultrasound or even my kidney. She was very concerned with me having $2000 worth of referrals and blood work done for things I had already told her I did not need. There's more I could complain about but it just makes me mad. We are a single income family. I homeschool all three of my kids and don't have $500 to throw around so someone can scam me into seeing every friend dr they have for unrelated issues. I walked out of there with absolutely no advise, no attention to my concerns, and 5 referrals that I NEVER called on. However, I get spammed constantly from each one of these doctors offices that she wrote a referral to. They constantly call me, leave messages and text me trying to get me to set up appointments. I have never reached out to any of these doctors so I know she's gave them my contact info without my consent. I have never been spammed from so many doctors offices in my life! I am deeply disappointed....I thought I found someone that would help me through this unexpected health issues and I thought she would encourage and give me hope... honestly could cry every time I think about the $500 waste. this dr might be good for you if you don't know anything about holistic care or if you are new to this world but if you know then please don't waste your time, emotional energy or money.

Weirdly, I had made an appointment"appointment request" online and put in all my information including my insurance info. I got a text the next day with 2 different open times and I responded which I wanted. I waited for a confirmation but didn't get one so I called the office to confirm. I then had to REDO ALL THE INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. (Sigh) The office had moved locations since our previous visit. I followed my GPS and found the building. Went in the lobby and walked each wing looking for the office to no avail. I finally had to go into another office and ask where the ENT office was. The lady told me I had to go AROUND THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING and the ENT office had its own entrance. No offense but that info would have been nice to know AHEAD OF TIME... like when I spoke to the receptionist on the phone. Office was clean and modern. Upon entering, I wasn't able to check in on the kiosk because the info was wrong. The lady at the desk seemed a bit rude when I informed her. I remember thinking, "This is how NEW PATIENTS are treated/spoken to?) but then she seemed a bit more friendly when I spoke to her a few minutes later. The lady at checkout wasn't the most friendly either... Anyways, the nurse who brought me back to the exam room was WONDERFUL. She was so warm, friendly and easy to talk to. Dr. Ha was AWESOME. sShe really listened to my concerns and didn't make me feel rushed. I liked that she explained things to me while she did her exam. Despite the slightly negative experiences with the office staff, the nurse and the doctors make up for it!

He cleaned up my ear, checked my throat and asked me to come see him if the problem persisted in any form since right now I was fit as a fiddle. Dr. jeffrey Bergeron was really helpful and quick. The clinic itself is sufficiently huge with plenty seating area and the lady at the desk is pretty friendly too, somehow my appointment was canceled, I still don't know if it was a system cliché or something I did, but they put me on the schedule right away and even then it took only about half an hour to be in and out. Am sure to go back there if I ever have an ENT problem. They have a pediatric office just beside it, so mothers, you can get two things done at the same time ...maybe...

I paid a bill in July, it shows a paid receipt, and bank account shows it paid, it still shows up on the balance! The new bill i just got in the mail, which is different charges, shows the new charge, but it is nowhere on their system. So Monday will be another session with their billing dept. They have messed up several times in the past (wrong procedure codes which took months to fix). They need to hire better people to manage billing.

I'll forever be eternally grateful to her for the official diagnosis so I could finally begin the first steps of applying for disability. She's highly knowledeable, compassionate, and is genuinely interested in helping her patients find the best solution possible for their ailments. She is a relatively young Dr., but somehow she knows more than doctors who are twice her age!! She graduated from med school from the University Toronto, which I feel is a great advantage because American med schools don't seems to teach hardly anything about super-rare diseases (at least not about the one that I have, which affects roughly 1 out of about every 100,000). If you feel that you're suffering from a rare disease & are hoping for some answers, Dr. Koh is by far the best, most knowledgeable doctor to go see. I spent nearly 30 years of going to specialists, only to be left without a single answer. All the other doctors would never listen & would all always blow me off, so after about ten years of trying, I gave up all hope for over 20 years regarding seeking help from specialists until it became critical for me to start seeking to apply for disability. Dr. Koh is the only doctor who I've ever seen who actually genuinely cares about helping me with my disease & who actually listens to me & who treats me with compassion, dignity & respect!! On March 10th the doctor still didn't respond to my messages so I called again and spoke Crisida (name might be misspelled) I gave her the same message "I'm not feeling well and is my blood work normal". She left me on hold and then informed me the doctor was calling me on the other line but I never received a missed call. I waited about 20 minutes and call their office again and I spoke with a lady and didn't get her name but she's an older lady and I heard huffing and pudding attitude over the phone which is ridiculous but she informed me the doctor was supposively calling me again but Crisida failed to tell me that Dr. Abdelmasih was calling me from a blocked number which is fine but then I would need to adjust my phone settings. Third attempt the doctor finally called me and she seemed bothered because she was driving and her responses to my concerns were Uh huh okay. I'm a new patient with UTMB or wait I was a patient with this medical provider and I will medical treatment elsewhere. The staff members who answer your incoming calls need better training and Tila if she's a nurse then IDK why she couldn't answer any of my concerns regarding the medication.

Dr. Vasquez took excellent care of her while she was having some serious heart episodes. It was late Sunday Easter afternoon when she was discharged along with a script that had to be filled before 9am Monday. I took her home and immediately went to Walmart pharmacy. When the script was ready I was shockingly told it would cost $389 for a month's supply. $389!!!!! She had a generic version for $10 just a year ago!!!! The Pharmacist could not give an alternative for some reason even though Dr. Vasquez wrote that. Anyway my wife put a page in for Dr. Vasquez and he called her back. Late Easter Sunday evening. He was upset with the Pharmacist and asked my to come to his office by 9 the next day. He had left 2 months of the medication for my wife for FREE! Yup, he is now my wife's new cardiologist.
