After waiting for 30 minutes, the doctor and scribe came in and assessed my issue. He looked at my foot noted the swelling and I told him that it was my middle toe was where I had the most discomfort. But somewhere along the way communication was interrupted. The Registrar came in and completed my intake then told me that the nurse would be in with my discharge and I told her that I have not received an X-ray. I was about to be discharged without an x-ray. The x-ray tech came in -was professional. Next a different nurse came in nurse came in with meds. Shortly afterwards, I was told one thing by the discharge person and my paperwork stated differently. No treatments given. He said light compression with an ace bandage and ice (wrapped in a towel) 20 minutes in and off. Just x-ray, meds, and ithen the door. Crush or broken injury vs just a soft tissue issue. Two different things. I'm still in pain & it's swollen. I don't want meds to pacify me. Just wanted tools to assist me with my healing process. I'm highly disappointed. Do better. I gave a higher star rating due to the young lady in the front... just to be clear.

We just moved here about 7 months ago and all I have heard was "if you need to go to the hospital…read morego to Bryan or College Station." Hmmm well.... I am an RN....and I have also had the pleasure of working at a rural hospital that was a whole lot more hoppin than little Madisonville, so I went into it with open eyes. I got extremely ill on Christmas Day ... yeah ... I know... it sucked, and I went to the hospital with an open mind. There were 4 in front of me, but I was back in a room within an hour and a half and that was with them having a Critical care heart patient that came in via ambulance. The nurses were spot on and absolutely amazing, Even the doctor was able to prioritize and came in to see me several times even after another ambulance came in. The only reason I am giving them a 4 instead of five is because they had to put me into one of their older ER rooms and my brand new sweats I was wearing got a sticky black gunk on them from the older table I sat on that didn't come out. Boo As far as quality of care goes, I truly felt like I was in capable hands.

Their egregious errors in my symptoms led to numerous unnecessary and very costly out-of-pocket tests. I've tried on a number of occasions to resolve this situation directly with the hospital to no avail. The hospital administrators seem willing to side only with its staff out of a desire to get its money and check off a box rather than admit that it made a mistake in running needless tests.

I took my mother there…read morewho was so ill she couldn't move without getting sick, was extremely weak and could not move on her own. She kept saying she felt like she was having a heart attack. I went inside to ask for help, they gave me a wheel chair and took several minutes for anyone to come help me because I couldn't lift her alone. She proceeded to loudly tell my mom to get in the chair and said, "well I can't lift you." I finally had to half push her out of the way and do it myself. You'd think the words heart attack would at least trigger some kind of semi urgent response but not here. We get inside and were told "well we don't have any open rooms". A good 5 or more minutes goes on, with me reiterating several times about her feeling worse and worse and the thought of a heart attack. When they finally take her the nurse did nothing to help her sit up for accurate vitals. When her BP came back high she told me "well her arm is bent so it's not accurate anyway". There was zero urgency. We were left in a room for a good 15 minutes without anyone coming in. I flagged down a nurse who got very short with me when I told her they would have to move her from the chair to the bed. Then left for another 20 minutes. From the time we arrived to the time an IV or Dr came in was about an hour. If she'd been having a severe heart attack it would have been too late. The Dr had extremely poor bedside manner, excessively loud, and giving little to no actual medical suggestions or advice. "Could be a heart attack we'll do a scan" that came back ok so he said "could be a stroke, but we don't have an MRI machine to check." This was now well past 2 hours. They sure as heck had someone come in to tell me the $3k+ cost estimate though once she was taken back for a CT. The dr said she could be given a medicine for stroke with a 25% death rate (exactly what you want to hear when he's given no other info) or transfer to a hospital with an MRI. He made sure to highlight that we were beyond the golden hour. Yeah because it took a full hour for you to even come in the room!! Ultimately transferred just to get away from the horrible place. The difference once at the new hospital was night and day and their staff was horrified by the treatment when I told them. I'll never go back to this ER.

Nearly 4 years ago I had my son here and we had a really great experience. The doctors and nurses were attentive and did a great job communicating with us. I was surprised at how good the food was! They have a lot great meal options which were prepared well. My only complaint during this stay was that there was never any down time or time to rest. Even with a do not disturb sign on the door the staff continued to knock on the door and come in to collect trays or try to take professional pictures (basically a lot of unnecessary visits). My father had a triple bypass there this week and I can't say enough about how great the experience was (given the circumstances). He was in the CCU for 4 nights and the nurses were phenomenal. The care they gave was exceptional and they spent a lot of time laughing and joking with my dad which he loved. Being in the hospital is tough and no matter who we came in contact with, whether doctors, nurses, kitchen staff, receptionist, etc, they always made a point to smile and say hello.

Like I said, all of my dogs have been there since birth. I'm very sad that I had to move, but I am fully satisfied with Brian animal clinic now. All you had to do was get someone to talk to me. I could've told you what was happening to him. Y'all could've pulled him in taking his glucose levels and figured it out. Regular patient appointments they should be overtaken by real emergencies as they do at Bryan animal clinic. If I have a regular appointment with my dog and there are dogs coming in that are on their death bed I am definitely willing to reschedule.

His office may be humble, but you can tell he really enjoys his career choice. He used to give one or two vaccines to me for free, or wouldn't charge if I brought both of my cats in at once. Many clinics are so money hungry, and his hospitality is really rare to find. He also is just a nice guy. He loves animals and is very quick to solve issues. I went to Banfield for over a year for my first cat's ringworm and they continuously charged us for expensive sulfur baths that did not work. We paid in the thousands. Dr. Bond said my cat was a little young for a medicine, but he wanted to try it.. and his ringworm was gone for good in under two weeks. The medicine was $20. I brought my other cat in who ran away from home and broke his leg. When the shelter picked him up, the techs there told me that he would need an amputation and to expect about $3k for the cost. I checked other clinics for an estimate and they agreed with the ballpark. Dr. Bond spent about 1 minute with my cat before telling me he was not in pain, and that the leg could stay. He also said if I needed to amputate, it would cost $300-500. He explained that my cat's muscle may atrophy, but if he was walking on it, he saw no reason to take his leg. My cat is the happiest four legged boy now. The most he has wrong is a tiny bit of arthritis, but he runs fast on his broken leg, which is just a tiny bit crooked. He's never had a single issue with it since. He saved both my pets from unnecessary trauma, and me from spending nonstop money on issues that were easily treatable by a true professional. His heart is with his patients, and I can't recommend him enough. We wish we could find a vet like this in Nevada.
