When adding my daughter to our policy as a newly licensed driver, she also had some questions regarding her portion of fees, and was told she'd get a call back with the breakdown. Nope! They requested documents from me that were not relevant to my policy, like info on my son who they enrolled in the safe driver program that I had declined. Repeatedly asked for a copy of my oldest daughter's policy, though she lives out of state and has had her own insurance for 5 years. I cooperatively sent a picture of her insurance card. They insisted on the declarations page. Not happening. When I asked why they needed it, they said they didn't know; corporate was insisting. I asked for a contact at "corporate" but unsurprisingly, never got it. A week or 2 later, I got a letter saying they were dropping me for not providing necessary paperwork. I beat them to it, thankfully, and secured a different and less costly policy. In the meantime, when my policy was up for renewal, they actually sent me a bill! Completely absurd, incompetent, disorganized. Two stars for a few people in the office who were nice and put some effort into it. I don't know one man's name, and Bob Seaborough, who I initially contacted, were both helpful. I don't think Bob is there anymore.

I am honestly so over this place…read more I set up my policy with them last year and was paying over $480 for one car. I was told that adding everyone in my household would lower my rate. Later, I found out I had actually been paying an extra $100 per month to have my younger brother added to my policy. He does not drive my car. The only reason I agreed to add him was because I was explicitly told it would reduce my payment. When I asked for an explanation as to why I was told this, they had no answer. When I asked how much extra I had been paying because of him, they said they would "look into it" and I never heard back. Canceling my policy was an absolute nightmare. Even after requesting that all policies be canceled, I continued to receive letters. I later found out my life policy hadn't been canceled because it's supposedly "separate," which was never clearly explained. I canceled that as well a week or two ago, yet I am now receiving emails saying I missed a payment on a policy that should already be canceled. They pulled the exact same stunt on my mom, telling her it would be cheaper to add my brother to her policy which was also completely false. This feels incredibly misleading and dishonest. If you currently have a policy with them, I strongly suggest you double or triple check exactly what you're being charged for and why. Ask questions and don't take their word for it. Coming here was one of the worst mistakes I've made. I switched because I was told it would be cheaper and as time went on it would lower only for it to go up when the policy renewed and I couldn't have been more wrong.

My contractor and me reached out multiple times to speak to Tim or have him contact us. He never did. I was told in an email that if I want to talk to Tim, I had to email him. Tim and State Farm have no problem taking your money, but you will get no support, and the claims people will fight you tooth and nail to prevent providing you coverage. It is my opinion Tim's cowardice prevented him from having difficult conversations or supporting his clientele, let alone returning a phone call. Don't waste your money or time with State Farm or this agent. The only redeeming experience was the ladies that work in the office.

Bait and Switch - We are not the first to get scammed by Taite Insuance. Our 22 year old son…read more(Keller High School, now at Texas Tech) was contacted by Bill and was told he could save him a ton of money on his car insurance. Our son (a part time cook at Sonic) who is always trying to save money took the bait. Bill came back with a price that was going to save him over $70 bucks a month - a big deal for him. Our son paid Bill the first month premium, got his proof of insurance card from Bill, then went on to cancel his previous insurance coverage. The following day Bill sends him an email saying that the price he gave our son was wrong and that in fact he is now going to need to pay even more than what he was paying previously. After quoting a price 3 times, cashing his check, issuing an insurance card, Bill had nerve to came back with a NEW price that was $20.00 more than what he was paying with his previous insurance company. Needless to say this was a total bait and switch!!! Our son had to go back to his old insurance company (who he had canceled) and they in turn used the opportunity to raise his rates as he was coming back with his tail between his legs. Then on top of it it took 2 1/2 weeks for Bill to return the money to our son. I have noticed from other reviews on Google this is not the first time Bill Taite Insurance has done this to people of our community. Stay away is my advice. BTW - can't wait to see what kind of BS response I get from this post from Bill.

Listening to others horror stories with companies and their claims process, I'll be staying with Bill Tait at State Farm in Southlake!! My family has been with State Farm long before I was ever born. So quite naturally when I became of age to get my driver's license and start driving, my parents of course added me to their existing policy. Once on my own, I of course stayed with SF until I could do my own research.... Recently I reviewed all my policies with my agent and before I met with him I made phone calls to get quotes from other companies...and that's when I realized you can't go wrong with Bill Tait at State Farm!!! Prices were outrageous with other companies (I.e. Allstate, Farmers, Geico, Progressive...etc. - - believe me, I checked them all) I want everyone to know it is not so much the company you go with, as it is the agent. I have always been very fortunate to have had an awesome State Farm Agent like Bill. Bill Tait in Southlake is what I would refer to as the real and true backbone of your insurance company. As with all first impressions, it is more than not, that impression we take with us and share with others. I've have been a State Farm customer for 25+ years and would never consider switching providers. They have excellent customer service and the agents respond to any inquiry or concern very quickly and thoroughly. The few times I've had to file a claim was painless and very efficient. I would strongly recommend Bill Tait-State Farm insurance to anyone! Contact him if your are truly looking for great service and best bang for your buck! Bill Tait - 817-251-8900
