This place is amazing!!!! I was looking for a particular optic plate and couldn't find it anywhere in the DFW Metroplex or online. I crossed my fingers walked in hoping TGE would have. TGE is a very nice place for handgun shooting. I prefer outdoor steel targets shooting. But TGF seems to have good ventilation. I didn't smell any burnt powder. The only con I observed was that the shooting stations are very narrow. The ejected shells kept bouncing off the walls and hitting me. A couple got inside my shirt too. Make sure you wear a crew neck under your shirt. And be buttoned up. read more

Came into Texas for a couple of days and wanted to go shooting for the first time. We decided to go to Texas Gun Experience and as soon as we walked in we were greeted kindly and directed to the area to get started. There we were met with a lovely and awesome guy named Antwon. He truly made our experience here so amazing and provided us with information about everything. He was truly one of the best parts of the experience aside from the other helpful and informative staff inside the shooting range. Santo was a total bro letting me shoot his personal Sig. Not to many people will let you use their ammo and gun in the first 10 seconds of meeting them. I also appreciated his candid opinion. Konnor was also super helpful in ordering my Sig since they did not have it it stock. read more

TWO WORDS: COLIN T. A newbie with NO EXPERIENCE with GUNS... I went to the LTC Prep Course knowing nothing other than I wanted a LTC Permit. Colin was absolutely FABULOUS! From the moment we began the prep course... Colin conveyed a since of confidence and accomplishment in me that I could responsibly carry and use a handgun! After shooting a 237 vs a perfect score of 250 the very FIRST time I held a gun... I left with a sense of pride and power... Pride, power and confidence I largely gained from my time with Colin!!! As a first time prospective buyer, I have nothing but positive things to say about TGE. TGE's inventory is very nice, staff very knowledgeable and there is no sales pressure. Due to the unavailability of the model of revolver I was looking for, I did not buy one on my first visit. The reason for the shortage of firearms and ammo is nationwide, not just at TGE. Their Knife/Blade Store also has great staff. I got my knife sharpened by Sara with a H. She is very detail oriented and did an outstanding job on my knife. My Emerson Sheepdog knife hasn't been this sharp ever since I bought it two years ago. I would go back there again. PS. All staff had masks on and so did the customers ++ read more

Very high tech range, friendly staff, and music in the range! I mean that was a great touch, the sales floor staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and overall very helpful. They let me shoot my SKS on the range next to my friend with his mosin, and they put some guy with an AK next to us! They know what they're doing, and they have a friggin mini gun that you can shoot. We were in visiting our friends in Dallas and we stumbled into this spot trying to find a range to shoot automatic guns at, since we only have semi auto in California. The guys who helped us out were very professional and super cool, there were a good amount of guns to choose from, and we got a pretty good deal because of the 4th of July. I'm a first time gun owner. I purchased a Glock in October 2020 and finally got around to booking a training class to learn how to handle, load and shoot. Collin was my trainer for the class and he gave me everything I needed to know for the next 75 minutes. I was able to load and shot 6 different hand guns which included my own handgun. I hit the bullseye 10 times and was able to feel comfortable using this handgun when needed for my protection. I look forward to going back to the shooting range to improve my skills. read more

Took Intro Handgun Class this week. Upon arrival, the front desk did not know where we were supposed to meet. After 5:00 we were told to go to the Conference Room. Instructor was 30 minutes late. Class started at 5:30PM instead of 5:00 PM. Instructor said his previous class ran over and needed a restroom break. All of the class was over at 7:15PM instead of 8:00PM. To give TGE a break on this review, it was a small class. However, I feel they could have used that as a chance to give the people there more instruction or shooting time. This was my second time I took this exact class so I had something to compare it to. I brought a guest with me this time too. read more

This past week I had a private lesson with Danielle & she was wonderful! It's been several years since I've shot my gun, so my husband bought me a private with Danielle. Honestly, I was nervous since it's been a while & I'm truly a terrible shot, but Danielle made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. After patiently working with me, she suggested a technique to get me to relax my dominant hand and it worked! My family purchased this package for my 65th birthday, three guns with 9 additional mags. My wife and two sons went with me to celebrate, none of us have ever shot a fully automatic machine gun before. All I can say is WOW! This was worth every penny. My wife and I had a very positive experience at Texas Gun Experience this week. As soon as we entered this brand-new state of the art facility we were greeted with friendly Texas hospitality and smiles. We informed the young lady who greeted us that we want to rent handguns to shoot at their indoor range. We were asked to first watch a safety training video before heading over to the range counter. After we watched the easy to understand safety video we walked over to the range counter and met John who was very helpful in explaining their process to rent a gun and shoot in their range. John was extremely pleasant to work with because he guided us through the process and was extremely helpful. Upon entering the range area we were greeted by range officer Hannah who was another knowledgeable staff member. Hannah was very patient, helpful, and efficient at helping us and others to be safe while experiencing a positive shooting experience while at their range. Hannah answered all of our questions and even provided great shooting tips that helped my wife a lot. Upon completion of shooting many different handguns that evening, we visited the gun sales section and met Brad who was another person who was also helpful and extremely knowledgeable in all of the products, brands, and availability. In summary my wife and I enjoyed our date night because of the staff were all friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Texas Gun Experience to anyone interested in this type of activity. read more

My husband had been wanting and looking for a Desert Eagle 50 cal for a while now. Well his brother found one at Texas Gun Experience and Steve sold it to him. Of course my brother in law called his brother to let him know that he had found one and had bought it. He told his brother that if wanted one to go se Steve at TGE. Well not to be out gunned (no pun intended) by his brother we headed to TGE quick fast and in a hurry. Steve was amazing he took great care of us and made us feel like we where part of the TGE family. Steve definitely understood the assignment. We will definitely be back. Texas Gun Experience was an amazing experience! If I could I'd give them a 10/10. This was mine and my husband's first time going to a gun range and they made us feel comfortable and patiently answered any and all questions we had. An employee Stephen spent over an hour answering our questions, letting us hold different guns and giving us background on them and showed us the differences. Our wait time to go into the shooting range was an hour and a half and the wait time flew by. The employee John who assisted us in the range was also amazing. He was patient and slowly went through how to load and shoot the gun. After we were comfortable he still checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay and was in an area that he was available and ready to assist. Whether you are a newbie or a veteran this is the place to go! We do not live in the area, but if we ever go back to Grapevine this will be a definite place we go. read more

Great gun experience and facilities! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only down side, as with most indoor ranges, is I am also a collector and hand loader and want to test the accuracy of my hand loads and firearms. I don't shoot just to hear my gun go bang. There is no area where you can comfortably bench rest. Today there were guys shooting full auto rifles next to me and it is very difficult to not react to those bursts of rounds right next to you. I didn't stay long because it would have been a waste of valuable ammunition. That said they have about the best facility and staff you will find in the state. Go and Enjoy! read more

My experience with customer service here was terrible. I walked in ready to buy a hand gun that day. I walked into the store and looked around. After waiting patiently for 15 minutes, not even being acknowledged by any employee behind the counter (not even so much as an "I'll be with you in a moment", I tracked down an employee and asked for help and told them I was ready to buy a handgun today. This employee then proceeded to ask someone to help me and they told him they were, and I quote, "I am busy now" and walked off. Ten more minutes go buy and I finally get some help. The weapon I wanted had to be special ordered, no problem. The employee told me his sales manger, and I wish I knew his name so I could call him out, would contact me. I asked when and he said he want sure. Three days go by and no call from the sales manager. I call the store. I explained my situation to the young lady, she was extremely nice, and promised me she would personally deliver my message to the sales manager and he would call me. Great, at this point I really wasn't upset. I'm cutting them some slack. Now it's been more than a week and I still haven't heard from the sales manager. I am truly appalled by the customer service. I work in a customer service type business and would fire a sales manager over something like this. I'm sure this review will be over looked and I will be ignored just like I was at the store. COVID will be blamed and they will say how busy they are and not accept responsibility. I invite this company to contact me and make this right. read more
