You know, I've shopped at a HomeGoods or two (or ten), and this one is fairly easy to shop. While…read morewe all know the drill at these stores (the stock is never the same) that's one of the things I like about it. At the same time, it can be a bit of a challenge. At least at this location, there aren't a million things cluttering the aisles so badly that you can't even walk through. The staff on the floor is always busy merchandising, but they will stop to help if you ask. The lines can get crazy, but they call in all the cashiers and usually get through the rush in a reasonable amount of time (not during the holidays, when it's naturally a little busier). The cashiers are friendly and efficient and this is one of my favorite place to shop for home decor and other things that I don't need. ;)

I'm not complaining about the people...I'm complaining about the stocking going on while the store is packed and those huge product bins in almost every aisle and path. Seems with the amount of Saturday business and even the registers being backed up to the furniture section, you can get the stock bins out of the way and to the back staging area. Clear the aisles for that amount of people WITH carts and children.

The lengths someone had to go to package it back perfectly was WILD. When I went to get my money back, the line was rather long but the cashier was nice (and they were nice when I initially bought it). We did find a few other nice things but it also took awhile of sifting.

I saw it again a few months later around Christmas (2024) and purchased it. It "was" beautiful! Fast forward to a month ago, I came home from travelling to find one of the handles hanging on my chair arm. It had fallen off, but had not broken. I looked at where it once was attached and there isn't any glue there. I remembered the cashier trying to detach it so that it would be easier to transport home (30 min away) and the arm not budging. Well now it has fallen off. I removed the entire candle holder to a corner on the floor, out of the way with the intention of gluing it back in place. Unfortunately, two week's later, a second arm fell and shattered onto the floor. I love this item, but the disappointment is beyond repair. Please do not purchase this item. The quality is terrible and the $200 wasted on a beautiful, useless item is unnacceptable.

I come mostly for the kitchen and bathroom items. I am also pleasantly surprised by the number of dresses they stock (way more than similar stores like Ross and Marshall's). Anything you are tempted to look for on Amazon, get here instead, and it will be cheaper and of much higher quality. I am extremely pleased with the glass mugs, bath towels, soap dishes, and cutting boards I picked up this year. I also found a lovely dress for family pictures. The cashiers are careful about wrapping and bagging my breakable purchases. What not to love: All Home Goods/TJMaxx (and nearly every "discount" store I have ever seen) are a mess - too many items stacked on the shelves, and bargain hunters dishevel everything even more rooting through the stock. This one is probably worse than average; be prepared to dig through piles to make your finds. This location is awful when it comes to wait time at the checkout. It was much better during my last visit, with many more cash registers open (so maybe they are improving?), but my first two visits necessitated 45 minutes of standing in line at the checkout. Ridiculous. Overall: Home Goods/TJ Maxx stock amazing bargain items, but if you have the option, there are better locations.
