Went with Texas Ice Cream for a company picnic. There were approximately 100 to 150 people there. Luke was our designated driver for the day. He showed up about 15 minutes early and set up. Very professional, a really nice, well-mannered young man. I highly recommend Texas Ice Cream for your events. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Ask for Luke, he'll definitely take care of you. Texas Ice Cream has a great menu and affordable prices. The ice cream is always great and the service is fantastic. I have used them twice within the last year to cater community events and they have impressed me both times. The owner Joe is a great person to deal with and seems to treat his employees well. The menu is diverse, simple, and delicious. I've enjoyed their gigantic banana split, a slush, and their double cone. I'll continue to use this truck for as many events as possible. I'm pretty disappointed With the experience I had with Texas Ice Cream. I reserved the truck for my apartment community. We agreed on a set price and I advertised it to my residents that ice cream was free while supplies last. I was never told the limit was reached and my bill was triple what I was expecting. I use Texas Ice Cream at least once a year but will not be using them again in the future. read more

After several bad experiences with dodgy street vendors in England, I have lost much of my childhood affection for soft serve, but this truck was a pleasant surprise. Sure, the only reason I left the office was I thought a taco truck had pulled up out front, but after swallowing my initial disappointment, the perfectly blended creamy vanilla mouthfeel, absent any trace of the gritty, cloying sweetness of your standard fast food cone did much to assuage my overpowering sense of grief and loss at the absence of carne asada, cilantro, orange fanta, and lime slices. Expecting a stale cone, I was instead met with that sublime melange of fresh, airy crispness that I thought existed only in childhood memories. A fairly decent fudge sundae, in truth, it hit all the right spots. I'm taking off a star for using Hershey's instead of a nice ladle of warm ganache fudge, in addition to not serving delicious, marinated, charcoal-grilled beef... but in retrospect, that's probably not a realistic standard for an ice cream truck to aspire towards. All in all, if you ever want to get a sugar cone from the clean, modern, adult version of an ice cream truck, this guy would be at the top of my list. Much like the room of requirement, this truck only appears when you need it. I wish I knew how to find it again. There was a fairly expansive menu I feel bears investigating further. read more

We were very excited to have an ice cream truck come to our neighborhood. This company was so inconsistent that kids were always disappointed. Never knew when or if they were coming. Last year they kept saying they had private parties and hardly ever came. This year they came twice and said they weren't coming back because they didn't get enough business. You can't get steady business in 2 days. You have to keep coming so kids look forward to it each week. Parents would have their kids on the curb and they were no shows so it would have taken more than 2 days to get people to trust they were coming. We were going to invite them to do our Annual party with hundreds of residents but we will hire someone else. Disappointing. The Ice Cream man is a great childhood memory of mine. Hate that our neighbor kids won't have that. Gave 2 stars only because when they came the ice cream was good. read more

Texas Ice Cream fixed everything I came to dislike about the typical ice cream truck. Just walking up to it I could tell that the truck was clean and well maintained, and even the driver was genuinely personable. But my favorite part was the incredible menu that forced me to hold up the line for too long. I truly look forward to my next wild encounter with one of these trucks. read more

One of the best food truck reservations I have ever made !!! In less than 24 hours TIC coordinated a truck to be in place to celebrate the end of our league baseball season. Casey was awesome and served close to 50 people in under 45 minutes. Will definitely be my first call for any event in the future. Seriously, who doesn't love great soft serve ice cream. read more
