Outstanding ppl doing a loveless job. They have towed every car I own once or twice. All need to remember these folks where told what car to tow in most cases they didn't pick you. All my cars towed and they never damaged anything. Here at Ashli Oaks in Denton they pick who gets towed and who they will harass. Not the tow company. My friend's car was towed, and the other three vehicles out of our group were not. There is no signage on the property to designate guest or visitor parking at the apartment complex we were visiting. I pulled up the Tow Companies TDLR license registration for both the towing and vehicle storage facility side and they do not have the required TDLR fee schedule on file with TDLR that they have posted on their wall. Per Texas State Code and TDLR they have to have a submitted fee schedule that matches what they have on file with TDLR posted in their place of business. They have not given a fee schedule to TDLR so that's two violations both license numbers show now fee schedule. They charged my friend for 2 days of storage when we took him to pick up his car within four hours of it being towed. VSF's cannot charge for more than one day of storage fees if they have a non consent towed vehicle stored for less than 12 hours. That is another violation. We provided state code and law for the state of Texas and the management refused to allow the window cashier to release the car until the towing/storage fees were paid. The website link they have on their receipt that tells which precint to go to to file a dispute for the towing, does not work, that's another TDLR violation. If you have read this and been towed be sure to ask them for all information and keep your records to file a complaint with TDLR and file a dispute with the local Justice of the Peace. Car was towed from the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater parking lot after having to leave it there overnight after seeing a movie. $200 later, I picked up my car after being towed for "overnight" parking. This people are awful. I am friends with many of the tow truck drivers in Denton, and all of them hate Texas Impound. Say they give tow truck drivers a bad name, because they do. They towed me twice in one week (I'll say, one was warranted, it was a mistake on my part not seeing where I was supposed to park), but the other one was completely unwarranted. When I went to pick up my car the second time, they said to me "Thanks for helping us pay for our new truck." Miserable, rude, no customer service skills, awful human beings. This business is towing and storing vehicles illegally. They are available for impounding a vehicle but not available for release. Two months ago they illegally towed my girlfriends' car when it was on the app registered. When we went to get it back we had to wait nearly 30 minutes till someone decided to help us. The lady at the front desk was super rude, really didn't want to help us, and kept rolling her eyes at my girlfriend. The last thing she said to us was "I hope it doesn't happen again" rather than a real apology. Today I was driving out of my complex and I saw this truck getting towed when it was very obvious that they were moving furniture (truck was in a handicap spot and hazards on with a couch in the back) the tow guy was very rude and blocked the entire front gate entrance to tow it. Then the owner came out and was super confused while moving another couch. The owner of the truck getting towed was trying to explain to the tow truck guy that it was temporary but the tow guy was giving him a hard time about giving his truck back. When it was obvious the tow truck guy was in the wrong. All while the tow truck driver had at least 6 cars blocked at the gates and took forever to put the truck down and move. Not only did I pay IN FULL for my vehicle upon arrival, they LOST my transmission linkage and had me wait OUTSIDE in the rain for a solid half hour while one of the brain-dead tow drivers came to fix it. An hour passes - the tow truck driver shows up and DOESNT HAVE THE LINKAGE. I wait a day for them to fix their mistake and all they could do was give me a rental with a quarter tank of gas. I came to visit my friend and his wife whom I rarely see, before Thanksgiving. Arrived at 7 pm and was leaving by 11 pm to drive home which is almost and hour and a half drive just to find out my car was towed. We didn't understand why they came and didn't leave a warning or slip or anything. My friends said their neighbors and those across have had cars with no signs or anything for DAYS and nothing happens to them. I am here for not even half a day. Just a few hours!!! And my car gets towed unjustly. I called this company and a lady answered the phone and told me that I parked in the wrong spot when I told her I was visiting AND I wasn't in a reserved spot. She then says I have to wait until the next morning because I couldn't go at that moment. Using this tow company exposes you to legal liability as a business. They tow cars during lockdown, not giving an option to retrieve the car until they choose to open, racking up thousands of dollars. They also tow utility vehicles out on emergency maintenance calls. Once the courts reopen, there will be a class action lawsuit by from large utility companies and private individuals, and the will declare bankruptcy. My son had a notice from his leasing office that clearly stated the towing company would be giving warnings if a permit was not displayed before towing. My complaint is much different than the others I've seen. I live in an apartment complex with 14 units and 13 parking spaces. There has been a consistent issue with people parking here, either as visitors or UNT students, who don't live here. I have been forced to park on the street several times even though my complex has a deal with this company to tow unregistered vehicles. The have a lot of little hidden fees. As soon as it gets to the yard the tack on an extra $20 then say its +$20 every day it stays but they put the first fee on at 12 hours. Many other reviews have made statements about them breaking or messing up their car and I'll say, if your car is towed by these people, expect damages. After being towed, they not only made us wait outside for one of their Neanderthal tow truck drivers, they lost the transmission connection and made us pay full price. Their app "ApartmentParking" is also a mess, half the time it glitches out so you can't add a car or, even with it saying there's a "three day limit", says the car has been parked there for too long after only being 24hrs.
