Honestly, I'm so glad I made the longer drive, it was completely worth it. When I got there, there were just a couple of people already checked in and waiting. It took about 30 minutes before I was called back to triage. After answering a few questions and talking briefly with a doctor, they explained there weren't any open beds yet, so I'd need to wait until someone came to get me for a CT scan. That wait was around 45 minutes, and after the scan, they had a bed ready for me in the ER. After some bloodwork and a few hours, I was admitted to the hospital and stayed for two nights. Everyone I interacted with was professional, kind, and really seemed to care. Big kudos to Yanci and Terri for being superstar nurses! Also, the hospital is so clean, which is very important to me. Although having to sit in the waiting room for a bed to open up while in pain was frustrating, I received great care from start to finish, and I'm really glad I decided to go out of my way to come to this location. I'd definitely come back here if I ever need care again.

His condition worsened each day on the ventilator and we had to make the difficult decision to remove his breathing tubes and take him off life support. It was the hardest decision of our lives but everyone's compassion and kindness made it bearable. My family cannot thank the staff enough for the level of empathy they shared, especially our day nurse James.
