My fiancé is extremely into cars so I thought I could surprise him by making a stop to see this…read moreshop while we were in Waco. We had both never been to a SoCal speed shop so didn't really know what items they might have available. As we walked in we were surprised at how large it was inside and how much merchandise they had available. My fiancé was a bit like a kid in a candy store looking at all the shirts, hats, stickers, and moon eyes items they had available. They also had a section where they sold records, metal signs, and car items. The woman who rang us up was so nice and informative on events they hold and even allowed us to stay parked in their lot while we visited the Doctor Pepper museum across the street saving us on having to pay for parking.

So-Cal Waco had my 1980 Z28 for 8 months doing an LS swap, transmission swap, vintage air swap and…read moredigital gauge swap, with some added smaller enhancement work. I did think that was a long time, but if it came out bulletproof, fine. It didn't come out bulletproof. Exterior lights that worked previously didn't. Accelerator pedal becomes flat out unresponsive. When it's running, it runs super rich, misses and stalls coming up to any stop. This wouldn't be so bad if they had actually had followed up with my repeated phone calls / texts to get them to correct these issues. These contacts included the store front and owner directly. They didn't contact me back. They ignored me, their warranties on work and the free tuning period offered. If you can't reach them and they don't call back, how does one get the problems fixed? It took 3 weeks for me to get most of the lights working again. It drives, sometimes. All other issues are still happening over two months after getting it back and they have no intention of fixing it proper. I've even put in a hold on the labor charge for the last job that ended up causing the light issues. They still didn't call. Even when I told them car was dead in my driveway, they still didn't call. They get their money, then they got no use for you. Give So-Cal a major pass. There is nothing like dropping 30 grand on making a show car, and can't reliably drive it anywhere. Dirty at worst, unprofessional at best.
