I called today to see about getting a refund and was told that they had not been paid by my insurance, and it would take 14 business days (3 weeks) to "research" the issue and then another 30-45 days to "resolve" the issue. I visited ATI in February and March, and it is now July. The representative I spoke to said they couldn't see my EOBs showing that i had $0 copay even though I can see them clearly on my end. The representative would not stop talking over me, and then effectively hung up on my by saying he did not want to take up any more of my "valuable time" before saying goodbye and disconnecting the call. So they have held my money hostage for 3-4 months and they are saying they can't release my refund for another 60 days at least. That's just wrong.

STAR PT is THE "1 stop shop for all your body's needs!" 1st…read moresection of this review is "my story"; Skip to the end for other details about STAR PT. K, I'm a bit biased: I, myself, was a PT at STAR for 10 years. But, I'm a patient right now: bicipital tendinitis developed as a result of shoulder impingement/rotator cuff arthropathy. I couldn't use my arm worth squat, constant pain, and intense pain with attempted use. What I had tried/done failed. Grew very discouraged/depressed: Husband asked me when I was going to DO something about it (& stop complaining, lol). Saw my doc: He offered an injection, but I said, "PT first please, and I want to go to STAR." (don't want injections to jeopardize the integrity of my tendons, and STAR PT "only"!). Yes, a PT may need another PT to lift one up, illuminate the path, and lead the way to success! Highlighting Anthony for his awesomeness! I specifically requested Anthony because he was the only one who didn't "know me." I know the other therapists, and they are all excellent. In this case personally, I wanted to be "led" unbiasedly: without any consideration/assumption that I "should know" this or that since the others "know" I'm a PT. Visits 1 & 2 proved to me why you see a PT before injections/surgery: immediate positive impact! I experienced a set-back after the visit 3 - of the exact same nature as to why I was unsuccessful when I tried to rehab myself. Anthony got me past this in ways that I'd never thought of! Week 3: still progressing, and Anthony increased focus on other components of my body to ensure long-term success (YES, core/pelvic/hip/leg exercises for my shoulder problem!). 8th visit/re-evaluation: 80+% better! Able to swim freestyle without problems over 4th of July holidays, pain is SO much less (I can handle intermittent dull aching), I no longer hesitate to use my arm (though it's still quite weak), and I'm now asking questions about working out! Anthony is so awesome: He listens, instructs, educates, set goals, and puts the plan into place. Though (as a PT) I think I could "take over" independently at this point, I'm continuing because I want to return to 100% and want him to keep leading me to ensure success. I started a version of push-ups (um, 7 visits ago, this thought was ludicrous)! Anthony reviewed other activities/gym exercises to try (or avoid), reminded me of needed rest/recovery periods and signs of when to back-off/stop. I don't know if I'll need to update this review when I am 100%, because I'm now feeling like nothing's going to stop me from reaching my goals! & Yes, should I experience any "hiccup" from this point forward, Anthony will bring me beyond it (full confidence), but this is why I'm still going to STAR PT! I wound up working with Joe for 7 months with weekly visits. He started out slow with some strength and flexibility routines and added more strenuous exercises as time went on. PT works and you have to trust the process. The care I received was excellent. I now work out 5 days a week and my legs are stronger than ever.

During my consultation, Dr. Jon Eberle focused on my kyphosis and recommended a 36-visit corrective care plan along with wearing a kyphosis brace for two years. I was provided with a written care plan outlining the services and costs. Based on that document, I agreed to treatment and prepaid $1,226 toward the plan. After beginning treatment, I received chiropractic adjustments, was instructed to use a Thoracic Denneroll, and was taught a very simple breathing/postural exercise that I was told to perform throughout the day at home. When I later discontinued treatment after receiving a second opinion from a spine surgeon, I discovered that I had been billed an additional $42.50 at each visit for the breathing exercise and separately billed for "traction," which turned out to be supervised use of the same Denneroll I was already instructed to use at home. Those charges were not something I understood from the written care plan, and I was surprised to learn about them only after my insurance was billed and my refund was calculated. When I questioned the charges, I was told they had been explained to me beforehand. That was not my recollection. My husband was present during the consultation, and we remember reviewing the care plan and discussing the brace, but not that these additional billable services would be charged each visit. My concern is not about chiropractic care itself. It is about transparency. I believe patients should clearly understand exactly what they are paying for before committing to an expensive prepaid treatment plan. I encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask for a detailed explanation of every service that will be billed at each visit and how those charges could affect any refund if treatment is discontinued. Overall, I was disappointed by what I felt was a lack of clear financial disclosure.
