After paying 50% of a full home window replacement quote 3 months ago with Texas Pride the company is unresponsive. I have left a dozen voicemails and send numerous emails but can no longer get ahold of anyone. As of today, I have filed a claim with my credit card company, BBB, and the Consumer Protection Agency. I was so excited to have new windows in my 35 yr old home but instead I simply lost thousands of dollars. Save yourselves and avoid this company at all costs. read more

Brian was amazing, he showed true customer first attitude and delivered me a quote with highly detailed and thoroughly knowledgeable explanation of the work needed. His was a highly competitive bid and I almost regret not going with him. In the end I went with someone else only because they provided a service in conjunction with the supplier I bought the door from. First, I want to start off by saying the door and windows are great. The install wasn't as good but we can live with that. The problem is customer service. Windows for the entire house and a glass sliding door was purchased through Texas Pride. Brian came out and did the estimate and sent the estimate over on MI Windows letterhead. (Lie #1: MI Windows are made in Dallas, TX. They are not.) Then he says the factory is backlogged so he can get Simonton Windows 2 weeks faster. Lie #2: These windows are made in Bryan/College Station, TX. They are not.) (Lie #3: all my windows are made in Texas. They are not.) The screen door was/missing the latch. The install was done in September and calls and text about the latch began in October. (Lie #4: the part is on back order. After speaking with Simonton I was informed that nothing they have has been on back order.) Several text and phone calls about the part went unanswered...probably around 95% of them. Now it's January and there is no product registration and still no part. Investigation is launched into finding the part ourselves. I call Simonton customer service. No record of any windows or door being made for Texas Pride. None. When asked about the part missing she said their screen doors are one piece so you can't just order the latch, you have to order a whole new screen door. She asked to have pictures sent of the label on the door and windows. That's when it was discovered they were purchased from West End Roofing Supply in Houston, TX. After further investigation and follow-up with West End it was confirmed the door was actually made by MI and the windows were made by Wincore. The part was order YESTERDAY by West End. (Lie #5: the windows AND door was Simonton which is indicated on the paperwork. Yep, still have all emails and texts to back it up. In fact, they aren't even from the same manufacturer.) Bottom line on Brian Young and Texas Pride Windows and Doors is simple; if you don't care about customer service after the sale then go for it. If you don't mind the old bait and switch, go for it. If you don't mind someone lying to you at every turn, go for it. If you do then please consider looking elsewhere. He will not get anymore business or referrals on this end. read more

He paid fifty percent of the cost of the job in April 2022. The victim claims the same contractor was featured on KPRC for victimizing another family. read more
