They brushed me off. I suspected I had hypermobile EDS and fibromyalgia. The doctor did check if I had RA. But I was negative for that. I told him my toe also hurt. Turned out my toe had been broken and I had no cartilage. I had an x ray done. Surely that showed? I had to go to a podiatrist and I know had 2 surgeries on that toe. I got my fibromyalgia and hypermobile EDS diagnosis from other rheumatologists. read more

I do not say this lightly. Dr. Zahabi, and her RN, Andrea Landon have completely turned my life around. I have multiple health issues, some that I've had for MANY years. I've been sent to rheumatologists multiple times. They tested me for RA and sent me home (I don't have it). Dr. Zahabi worked with my nephrologist and me to figure out to combat my multiple issues AND reach my goals - reduced pain AND mt ability to gain muscel mass without using Creatine or eating a massive amount of protein. Unbelievable in the middle of Covid, they aren't practicing social distancing in their waiting room, or have hand sanitizer, or masks on. The provider and assistant did. But not the front office. AND NOT ONE BOTTLE OF HAND SANITIZER PRESENT. Not even in the exam room where there isn't a sink. When I asked why they weren't wearing masks, the front office lady said they were, as I'm looking at 4 people at the front desk without them. Took 3 weeks to get a return phone call with my labs. Took another 3 phone calls to get my labs emailed to me. Will never return. Not to mention, the nurse practitioner telling me how covid will likely go away in the heat. Hard to trust her medical advice when she shares this. read more

The most inefficient, ill-managed practice that I have dealt with in a long time. It took four months to get an appointment. They emailed the paperwork that had to be completed prior to the appointment. However, it could not be filled out online nor could it be faxed/emailed back. It had to be driven to the practice. I did this Friday before a Tuesday appointment, I receive probably four requests to confirm I was coming. I arrived the required 30 minutes early only to be told they don't take my insurance. They had not scanned the forms in which clearly showed my insurance. The referral that was sent to them by my neurosurgeon also included my insurance. They denied receiving the referral. Why on earth would I've made an appointment at that location without a referral? The person I spoke to at the desk called me at 7:30 in the morning today to ask if I had my blood work. I said I was never told to bring blood work. She took my PCP's name and said she would contact her to get theblood work. She asked about the paperwork and I told her I took it there and yet in the entire day before my arrival she couldn't bother to look for it. Now, when I arrive, there were two of them just sitting around talking. I would never recommend this practice to anyone. No idea what the doctor is, but who wants to deal with this poor quality of staff? read more

All I can say is that after 6 months I am still hurting. My hands are crippled and Trying different strengths of steroids only helps for a short time. Will be looking for a new Rheumatologist. Dr Dany seems to be knowledgeable but he takes me off steroids then I call crying with pain and he puts me back on them and he made fun of me crying. One last appointment and I'm done . read more

I first saw Dr. Zahabi when I initially had inflammatory arthritis symptoms (April 2016). She diagnosed me with RA. Fast forward to this year. At one appointment, I waited 90 minutes in a room, just waiting to see her. No apology, no reason given. She spent 15 minutes with me, mostly discussing drugs. When I asked if she thought I might have Lupus or something besides RA, she very nonchalantly said, "You don't have RA. You have Spondyloarthritis." She didn't explain how different this diagnosis was. The last few visits, I have been seeing Dr. Gonnalagadda, who flat out told me she would have started me on biologics from the beginning, even though my priority is managing the disease progression without aggressive drugs. She also didn't know there was a link between gut flora/health and autoimmune disease. I said she should look at the latest research the next time she gets bored, as it's pretty fascinating. She abruptly said she doesn't have time for that because she has kids. Since then, my back pain has been so bad that I asked about Ankylosing Spondylitis on another visit, but was told I probably don't have it since I'm a female. I asked for an MRI on my SI joint. Dr. Gonnalagadda left me a voicemail saying I have "no inflammation" showing. Well, this week, I finally saw a copy of my MRI, and it very clearly says I have inflammation of my SI joint, so I was either lied to, or someone can't read. Either way, I'm done. I called to cancel, and I told the receptionist I was switching doctors and would be happy to give a reason why, if she thought they'd care. She literally said, "No, I'll just cancel it. No worries." Also, if you leave a message, no one will call you back...ever. And EVERY time I'm there, patients are complaining about one thing or another. I initially thought Dr. Zahabi was a great doctor, but it is such a cattle call. The office is run SO poorly. And since there is a shortage of rheumatologists in the area, they will just keep getting new patients and don't seem to be interested in providing quality care. read more

Horrendous experience with Dr.Z about 9 yrs ago. All the bad yelp reviews are very true. After a year of me being on biologics, I still was in extreme pain. I ended up leaving the practice. My new Rheumatologist told me that I have Fibromyalgia, not RA. Anyway, listen to these reviews and your gut. read more

Zero stars! Tried to make a new patient appointment. Was put on hold and forgotten 3 times. I understand how busy doctor offices can be. I could over look the forgotten 3 times on hold, we are all human. But when I finally did speak to someone she was VERY RUDE. It's unfortunate that these doctors are highly recommended but have people managing the business that don't care. Definitely need to remove the word "Care" from their business name. read more

After 6 other doctors, I was referred to Dr. G. I told her how discouraged I was and didn't have much hope in receiving a diagnosis. She assured me that she would find out what was wrong. She was thorough, kind and patient with me. Best of all she gave me a diagnosis based on her assessment, X-rays and blood work and I received a treatment plan. I can't explain the relief I have that there is a name and treatment plan for what I have been living with. She quickly took care of the acute symptoms and I am starting on long term treatment. Do not waste your time with this practice. They will not work with you at all financially, The doctor is nice, but clueless about their own staff practices. They will not refill your medication while one of the doctors is on vacation- which makes no sense. Very rude as well. read more

Wonderful office! I have seen Dr. Gonnalagadda for almost a year now. It is very easy to schedule an appointment and the front office staff is very nice as well. It is also a bonus that they do lab work in the office instead of having to go to the lab. The doctor never rushes me and thoroughly explains my diagnosis, medications & etc. I highly recommend this office! read more

I love, love, love Dr. Zahabi! After spending over a month in the hospital with a team of five different physicians who could find nothing, seeing one of the top doctors at the Southwestern University, I finally landed at Dr. Zahabi's office who after one visit (where she took her time to listen, unheard off!), she had me correctly diagnosed and on my way to properly handing my disease. I thought maybe it would be just the first visit, but no, going on my 3rd year she is still always there for me. We discuss everything, everytime. I feel so blessed to not be alone in this battle with auto immune disease. If your frustrated with doctor's offices and medical treatment, I recommend you visit this office. After 4 years of searching for answers for my bucket of symptoms, I was referred to Dr. Zahabi by a coworker. It took awhile to get in but well worth the wait! I kept testing positive ANA with other symptoms that pointed to lupus but was told it was cancer, then MS, then hormones or stress. The last Rheumo I went to (Dr. Cush) told me I was depressed & wrote me a prescription for Ambien & Celexa & told me to see a shrink (I threw out his RXs & walked out) I was at the end of my rope when I got to Dr. Zahabi. She took so much time with me, asked me to tell my story as if I was relaying it to a friend. Asked about all of my symptoms and changes, talked about my family, reviewed the labs I brought in. She identified the pattern that kept causing me to relapse and told me I do have lupus, I wasn't crazy, & together we would figure it out. She told me we could start medications to prevent the relapses, as well as over the counter supplements, diet changed that will help. She told me we will get through this and at the end, when I was in tears, she hugged me and made me smile. First.... NEVER stop advocating for your health, you know when something's not right & early detection & management of any disease is key. Second...if you need a rheumatologist, call Dr. Zahabi. There's a wait to get in, but be patient, her bed side manner makes it all worth it. I also called every Monday to see if there was a cancelation and I got in 3 weeks sooner than originally scheduled. I can't say enough good things about her. read more

Wow worse experience at a doctors office. I got a call a few days before stating it would cost $350. I was asked if I wanted to cancel my appointment. Um my daughter is ill why would I want to cancel? A few days later when I go for the visit I'm told it would be $500. Um no that's not what they told me on the phone. Also I knew $350 was correct because that's what I owed before meeting my deductible. I had to go on the Internet show them that it stated I only had $350 before meeting my deductible. So finally they say okay. Well my husband and I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours before my daughter was seen. When they call her we are told only 1 parent could go back. That's the biggest b.s. I've ever heard. They said there was not enough room for the the both of us. I then said okay then we will leave and look for a new doctor. Oh as soon as i said that, then it was okay for the both of us to back. Let me tell you the room was plenty big enough for all of us. A few weeks go by and I notice they didn't bill my insurance so I called them. They tell me Oh sorry we are running slow. So in this time I met my deductible through a different doctor. Now they owe me my $350 back. I had to call many times to finally get it back months later. I'm so glad I will never have to come back here again. read more
