Texas Roadhouse always slaps. It's nostalgic for my family too because we've been going since my son was little. He loved going for his bday to sit on the saddle and have everyone sing and watch the waitresses dance. These days, I don't think the waitresses dance anymore, which is a bummer... but we still love coming here. My son and I went on two separate occasions since moving to Columbia. The first time we went, he ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and I got a Loaded Baked Potato, Chili & mixed Veggies. The second time, I ordered a Ribeye with mushrooms, and Mac n Cheese. My son ordered Prime Rib with Mac n Cheese and we shared a cactus blossom. Our server was awesome, he was so attentive and kept the dinner rolls flowing! A manager stopped by to make sure everything went good for the night, which was super nice. Honestly, Texas roadhouse is at the top of my list of favorite restaurants, and I'm so glad Columbia has this location. We honestly can't wait to go back. read more

Ask for Lexi! She was absolutely wonderful and frequently visited our table. She was so kind to my baby, automatically a great waiter in my book. I got two legendary margaritas and catfish with two servings of fries. My husband had the 12oz steak and shrimp with chillie and green beans. Our 9mo had some mashed potatoes and while he wasn't crazy about them still occasionally wanted more. She was quick and eager to answer all our questions and the food came out fairly quick for a busy Friday evening. The music was very loud people had to talk louder making it harder to hear. The bartender was amazing, she provided exceptional service. She was friendly and quick. The food on the other hand was pretty bad. I don't usually give poor reviews. My steak was supposed to be med-rare it was mostly well done with a tiny bit of pink. My friend's steak was cold. No matter what state (I eat) at Texas Roadhouse - it is always very consistent with service and quality. Today, this place had all sorts of people coming in; they were busy as all get out. We (both) ordered ribeyes - one rare - one medium rare. Both steaks were cooked (spot on), to a true appropriate temperature. Both were good flavored beef and seasoned well (though they do use plenty of kosher salt). Caesar salad: always a good chain restaurant Caesar....one of better ones you'll get. Chili was very good. It has a bolder taste...very hearty texture. And I give this location kudos with the "loaded" baked potato toppers...for $1.29. I raised this concern with the manager. Here's how the conversation went: 1. "We've been doing this for a while and no one has complained."This isn't a defense -- it's complacency. Just because others didn't notice or complain doesn't mean the practice is safe. Yes, I caught it, and yes, it's a real issue. 2. "All our containers are health-department approved."This is technically true, but regulations are outdated. PS plastic is only considered "food safe" below 70°C. It is not designed for hot, greasy food straight off the grill. That's why over 10 states have banned foam containers entirely. This was the absolute worst meal at a TR! We frequent TR and we had been on vacay and stopped here on the way back home. I was craving the rattlesnake bites and they were disgusting. They normally have a pull to them but they tasted spoiled. They were gritty inside. The fried pickles tasted under fried and also had a gritty texture to the coating. My husband liked the wings (we ordered the sampler platter for apps). Our meal was just about as disappointing. My steak was over cooked (they did not ask me to cut it), the corn was well I don't know, weird. No flavor of corn but just yuck. The potato was a potato, loaded but the sour cream seemed to curdled. The best restaurant in town! I always get my Herb Crusted Chicken and it is always big, juicy and flavorful. Mashed potatoes and corn are always great too, as well as their salads and fries. She emphasized the the restaurant policy was just 2 ounces and left the bar area. I showed the server a citation from the web was at least a 3 ounce pour he said " when you own the company, you can tell me how to pour". I thought this was an asshole reply and told him so. Every time I go in here, the food is delicious! They usually always have prime rib which is my favorite, very few times have they been out of stock. However, I won't be giving them business any longer or until they train their staff members how to be polite and respectful. I went on Mother's Day and they were busier than normal to be expected. We had a reservation online and didn't get seated until an hour after we got there and sat in the waiting room. They acted as if we were imposing on an event. They were not happy to see us, seat us, or take our order. We did not receive refills until asking. We ordered a to go order as well for my father at home, and the waitress sighed and said yes but it would take about 20 minutes. We didn't want to take up the table since we were done and the restaurant was full so we offered to go wait in the waiting room. The waitress shrugged and said do whatever you want and walked off. We sat at the table, the waitress brought our food and didn't suggest a good day or anything. We didn't realize that people who booked online were treated differently that people who walked into the door. However, that is fine, but my big problem was if you booked online you didn't have to wait outside, but if you booked in person then you did. The reason was COVID, but does COVID go away if you book online. Ok, we only waited 15 minutes to sit down and our waitress was great. The didn't cook my steak correctly nor tried to make it right by adjusting the bill because I didn't have time to have them fix another steak. The beer and deserts were good, but they just seem not to be that enthusiastic about their customers. My wife, daughter and her family went to there this evening 10.14.23 for dinner. I usually don't go because I can't sit at the beach seats as I prefer to sit on my walker. Anyway they made there order and ordered my dinner to go. When it came time to pay up and leave, they didn't have my order to go, nor did the waiter have the paper he took the order on. I can tell you that I was very disappointed I didn't get what I really wanted and had to get something from another restaurant. My family couldn't stay another 30 minutes, because of my two young grandsons were ready to go and they didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for my food to be ready. I eat here quite a bit. Before my husband died in 2020 we ate here 2-3 times a week-Our nights out! Tonight I enjoyed everything about my meal. Food was delicious and just the way I wanted it!! I like my broccoli and carrots cooked so a fork can easily be used to eat them and I lucked out-just right!!
