We love coming to Texas Roadhouse. It was a great experience except for the person who seated us. I said wow we get this big table for just the 2 of us? She said "I don't decide where you are seated." Didn't leave us any silverware or napkins. It all got better when our server Caleb came over. He was so friendly and such a great server. He got our order perfect. He even remembered to bring a lime for my soda, cleaned used plates as we were done with them and brought my husband a new soda as soon as he spotted it was running low. Me and my coworkers came here for dinner, there was nine of us and we had the best time ever, our servers name was Brendan and he was amazing and so kind even though we were probably stressing him out he was still so awesome. We came in for dinner on a Saturday night and ordered two 16 oz ribeyes cooked medium-well, plus the kids' steak bites for our 2-year-old toddler. Unfortunately, all of our food came out completely rare--including our toddler's meal. We politely sent the food back, but when it returned, all the steaks were cooked well-done and dried out. I understand restaurants get busy, but when I spoke to the manager, his only response was that 'they are human.' I truly understand human error, but this is literally a steakhouse--cooking steaks correctly is the main job. Taking food away from a hungry 2-year-old is a concept he doesn't understand, and it led to a massive temper tantrum that ruined our family dinner. We are not people who complain to get a cheap meal. I'll never forget this one experience I had here like 2 years ago. Writing the review now because it still makes me mad. It was my friends birthday and we had a group of about 6. We sit down and our server is super awkward but we didn't really gaf. We were like 16 but we weren't disrespectful, we all knew how to tip and we were not running our server around at all like we didn't care. Immediately the server spills like 3 drinks on us and says nothing and walks away. I don't know if she was stressed or what. Another server/manager comes over named Erica and apologized and said she would take care of us and it was fine like we thought it was funny (We were soaked in Sprite). We get our food and then the tickets come back and they are completely wrong. Like every ticket for each person was mixed up. And we were 15/16 so we were all going to pay separately. I'm a bar server now and I know how annoying this can be but it's not the end of the world. And I know Texas Roadhouse servers don't get that many tables at a time so it shouldn't have been that hard. We had our tickets fixed and then we all payed separately and tipped 20% like our mothers taught us. The Erica girl comes back and starts lecturing us about how Venmo exists and we should use it. 16 year olds can't even have Venmo. Nobody here has 200 dollars to drop on this bill we all worked at like Dairy Queen and our paychecks are 150 every two weeks. But okay. We leave and then they proceed to call us and make us pay for a side of fries that they forgot to ring in. I'm still shocked at the audacity. Like after all that you've put us through take it out of the tips or something pookie. It's not our fault that you messed up the checks 10 times. I'm sure none of them were excited to take a 6 top of 16 year olds but damn this was an awful experience. A friend and I traveled 45 minutes for lunch. More pricy than I remember (I spent $65 for lunch, a porterhouse, fries, and two beers). Not as flavorful as I remember either. The free rolls were great (just as I remember). The wait staff was friendly (though I had to ask for silverware and a napkin). Been to T R over 50 times in Multiple State, this was my worst experience. people rave how great the ribs are. Terrible for two of us who ordered them. Dry, tasteless, seemed like they were days old. When we complained we got a ohh that's too bad. server could see neither of us ate hardly any of them. The steak I got with it was very good. I did in a complaint on the contact us page and have not received a reply in 3 weeks. Very disappointed and now they are not my favorite go to restaurant any longer. Sad it doesn't matter because they know it will still be full every night. Maybe just stay away from the ribs and go somewhere else when you want ribs. read more

This place is normally great but today the server was terrible. The worst we have ever had. Never cleared one dirty plate from the table. Messed up the order several times. When we were finished didn't give us a check just moved the kiosk to the middle of the table and said the bill is on there pay through it and walked away. Every time she stopped at the table we barely could hear her speak and she was only there for a moment. Then we couldn't get a bag for our take out from her or the front counter. When I tried to talk to the front counter on the way out they wouldn't give me the time of day . We usually enjoy this location, but unfortunately, today's experience was disappointing. We waited at the hostess stand for quite a while, despite the restaurant not being busy. When we were finally seated, we were led to a very small booth, even though there were several open and more spacious booths available nearby and in other sections. When we politely asked to be seated elsewhere, the hostess responded curtly and said it wasn't possible. She set down bread and clean silverware on the same dirty table, then picked up the cups and mentioned she'd bring plates before walking away. We stood there, waiting for her return, and she gave us a look as if wondering why we hadn't sat down. I was stunned and asked, "will you be cleaning the table?" She looked at me like I was the unreasonable one and replied, "Well, if you want me to, I can." I responded, "Yes, please. There were dirty cups from the last people here." She then said, "All I'm supposed to do is seat people and take the glasses." It's not difficult go the extra inch, not even asking for the mile, to wipe a table down. If you're handling food after, conmen sense would be to go wash your hands, you'd have to after picking up the dirty glasses. SMH. Food was fair, ended up not finishing it. This place has really gone downhill over the years. It's a business centered around customer service, yet the staff seem to just be there to collect a paycheck without any pride in their work. My family enjoys coming here from time to time when they are craving for a steak. I used to like their rolls but now I feel the recipe had changed it something. It's not the same anticipation as before. It is definitely better when it just came out of the oven and it's nice and warm with the cinnamon sugar butter. I filled up on the rolls and didn't have much room for my entree Soo had to get a to go container. The fresh veggies that came out was steamed which I was taken back since it said fresh vegetables, I thought it would come out raw not lightly cooked. The salmon was flavorful for the small bite I had to try. It was tender and not tough or tastes dried like when it's overcooked. I'm not a big fan of loud places anymore when I'm with big groups because it's hard to hear and I'm getting older too. Overall, our service was great very attentive. Recommend doing the call ahead of your group is 6 or larger to help with the wait time because it could be 45 minutes to an hour wait some they don't have a lot of large tables. read more

My girlfriend and I were wondering where to go for dinner, and we chose Texas Roadhouse. And it was an excellent decision! I ordered a sirloin and it was cooked exactly how I requested and it was filled with flavor. The fries that it came with are some of the best steak fries I've ever had. Crispy and delicious! My girlfriend got the salmon, she said it was very tender and the seasoning on it (lemon pepper I believe) was perfect. We ordered a blue raspberry and strawberry lemonade, amazing! What your staff did tro the police officers on Friday was unacceptable. I witnessed 2 of your staff at the woodbury location refuse service to the plainclothes officers there at lu chtime. They had badges in plain view. They had their sidearm holsters. Yet your staff told them to put their weapons in the car. The most disgusting anti law enforcement action I've witnessed. Listen, I'm not afraid to say I dig this place. I'm kind of a steak snob and I'm self conscious of my foodie peers judging me but screw it...loud and proud I gotta say the value here is incredible!! I stuck with my 8oz sirloin for $12.99. The flavor exceeds the price 3 fold plus you get two sides. My only complaint is that the service is rushed. Entrees come out before salads are finished. Our check was on the table 30 minutes after we arrived. We had an over done steak tonight. It's was severely over done. Our service was good but she didn't check back right away so my Mom ended up eating over half her steak because she was just plain hungry. When the server checked back she informed the manager and they ended up taking it off the bill. He was very gracious and accommodating. I wanted to like this place. I did. And our service was good, if inexperienced. I will say the service is attentive. As for the food, we ordered jalapeño stingers, chili, Caesar, green beans, broccoli, chicken breast with some kind of topping on it, and the ribs. The jalapeño stingers has no sting. They claimed to have jalapeño in them but when I pulled on apart I found 2 fingernail clipping sized green bits which I assume was supposed to be the zing. The chicken was ok if a bit flavorless and had clearly been reheated given it's texture. It's good it was smothered in layers of this gooey paste like mushroom sauce or it would have been like chewing on bland rubber. The chili was bland and lacked anything like meat, which a Texas chili would have, if this bothered to be one. Honestly the flavor was more like a Boston baked bean rather than a chili. The vegetables were so over cooked they must have been in a pot of boiling water until they lost all texture or flavor. Hint: flavor isn't the result of sprinkling too much salt on top of an overdone bland dish. The absolute worst though was the ribs which are supposed to be fall off the bone good. They were so dry they were hard to chew, so I thought, nah, it's just this one on the side so I checked the rest of the slab of death, and it was all vastly over cooked. Hard. Dry. Flavorless. It is clear why they serve their ribs buried in sauce in some attempt to cover up the fact that to get ribs that dry they must have cooked, recooked, left under a heat lamp, stored, reheated, then dehydrated them for over a week. This is an exaggeration, but the flavor in ribs is in the fats. If you over cook them at too high a temp for too long of a time you get a product that tastes and resembles cardboard. Pouring heaps of a too sweat sauce on that will not cure the basic problem. I didn't eat any of the ribs beyond a few bites to check the entire slab. The waitress asked me if I wanted a box. SMH. Nope. I explained that they were inedible. She got her manager who said " you can't get it right all the time." Which is a strange thing to say. They grabbed me a pulled pork sandwich as I asked for something quick. And I wanted to check. Yup. When they vaporize ribs, they recycle them later as pulled pork with an extra helping of sauce. As I said our waitress was good and very nice. They are the sole reason I have my review 2 instead of 1 star. Management is clearly lost when it comes to food quality, and the food was substandard. If I try it again I'll order the steak to see if they cook the flavor out of all their food. Yikes. I can't believe all The 4 and 5 star reviews. read more
