Being in town for work, we happened upon this place and I'm glad we did. The place is very clean, is decorated appropriately for the area, and gives you that Texas steakhouse vibe. The service was extremely friendly and we always have everything we needed before we even needed it. The food is where they really shine! The fresh rolls that they bring around to the tables is absolutely delicious although it's easy to overindulge. The steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and served with great Fixins. Let me start by saying we have been coming to the Rose for 15+ years. We've always loved the food and service both. In recent years it has been hit and miss on the food. Likewise with the service as the younger waitresses have become more numerous. If you happen to go in when some of the older lady's are working you'd do well to request their section. You will not be disappointed. However from now on if I go in and do not see one of the older ladies I will be turning around and finding somewhere else to eat. The steaks have been very disappointing and underwhelming the last 2-3 years. Today's Angus Salad was no exception. It came out with 4-5 small "chunks" of what I assumed was roast trimmings. I was pretty upset about it but decided just to eat and go on. The meat was extremely over salted and pretty dang tough. It absolutely was not steak. And there was barely any of it on the plate. You get more meat in a 6 piece McNugget box than I got on that salad. This isn't even touching the wife and kids meals. So we saw our waitress 3 times. When she took the order, brought the order out and finally when she came to bring the ticket. The meals were very poor in taste, quality and quantity. Ive never minded the price at the Rose but today's 100$ ticket just angered me more considering the experience we had. Normally its THE place to go eat in Pampa. This place came highly reviewed by many people. I wanted a steak badly. I just got to town, unpacked at my hotel and headed right there. I was seated, picked out a really nice set of things to order. The steak smelled great. I sat there 25 minutes in a restaurant with 3 servers and only 5 tables with people at them, including mine. People all came by and made eye contact. Yet, nobody came by to offer water, check on my offer, no contact at all. I was super hungry for a steak but wasn't going to wait another 25 minutes. Everyone watched me walk out and nobody said anything. I'll be here a week, maybe I'll try it again. But for now, I can't justify the reviews I've heard and seen. Called an order in, thought it was going to ready when they said it was going to be ready.( kinda the whole reason why you ask can I make a to go order) Plot twist they never put in my order. Then the manager on duty made an excuse about how the print jammed. Cool stuff happens but you dont have the audacity to call me back to let me, or write the order down and run it to the back? So when this happens the restaurant is on hold!? So many questions... I guess it's just better to go some where else holy shit let's just waste ppl's time, I would have rather you told me I couldn't make a to go order my guy BASURA!! read more

Stopped here on the way through Pampa. Glad we did. Food was good, had a clean Texas decorated dining room. Green Chile chicken fried steak was very good. Southwest chicken salad was also good. Friendly waitress. read more

My husband and I have eaten there several times. Service is always excellent. Love the hot rolls with butter they serve right at the beginning. Yum. They have great food with large portions. Their salads are excellent also. Fresh cinnamon rolls for dessert-- if you have any room left for one. Restaurant clean and comfortable. We will keep going back! read more
