Here you will find all kinds of Sarees, Salwar Khameez, Lehangas, Kurtis, Mens Kurta Pajamas, Mens Sherwanis and more. They also carry a huge selection of 220v electronics, travel luggage, perfumes, adopters, cell phones and other kitchen appliances. The shop owner and the lady employee were great to work with as they are very helpful in getting what you are looking for. If you have any minor alterations, they will do at the store itself. They even offer tailoring services if needed. The prices are very reasonable and affordable. Free parking is available in and around the store. I would recommend this store to anyone and definitely will visit this shop again soon. read more

Travelin' man and I were scheduled to attend an all-day, Indian wedding on Sunday, and the day before I asked him what I was supposed to wear. He pulls out the schedule of activities and reads off "Semi-formal or Indian." Hmmmm...we called up a couple of our Indian friends to make sure we wouldn't be offending anyone if we showed up decked out in traditional garb and, once we got the thumbs up, ventured out to see what we could come up with! My mother actually recommended this shop - she loves the colors and sparkles of Indian clothing - that is found next to Chat Patti near the N. Druid Hills and Briarcliff Target. I had initially planned to get a sari, but the saleswoman steered me toward a salwaar kameez (dress with matching pants) after warning me that attempting to wrap the sari on my own could prove to be more challenging than understanding the Lost finale. Clothing sizes vary from US clothes, so be sure to grab a wide range to try on and get the feel for the sizing before you get your heart set on any specific outfit. With some assistance, I started out with a few that made me look like a dowdy mother of the bride, followed by a few that were cut so skimpily in the front that they were practically obscene. Eventually I found the perfect fit in a gorgeous purple/fuschia number with elaborate beading on the bust. Inspired by my clear affinity for wearing Indian clothing (or perhaps the realization that wider range of options = greater potential for sales), my saleslady relented on the sari issue, picked out a gorgeous burgundy and gold number, and showed me twice (I assisted the second time) how to wrap it. I almost remembered how to do it myself (many thanks to Youtube for thre refresher course!) later! The people in the store assured me that if I was really in a bind, anyone at the wedding would be happy to assist me, although I imagine it would have caused an interesting stir if I had marched into the reception with my sari half-wrapped... I ended up getting both outfits - salwar kameez for the morning ceremony and lunch and the sari for the evening reception, and travelin' man got a traditional outfit for the morning as well. We even got a discount, although I am sure our price was still twice as much as what would have been offered to Desi customers. Although I felt somewhat self-conscious when I first arrived and started poking around, being the only non-Indian in the store, by the time I left I felt like part of the family. So don't be afraid to ask for help! And give yourself time to really dig around - there are so many colors, patterns, beading, etc. that every outfit in the store is truly unique. You'll want to be able to take your time as you sort through all of the different options. read more

I have to be honest, this was my first Sari shop, and it only made me want a colorful, beaded sari even more. I've seen so many of my friends dress up for holidays and celebrations and have always felt left out. I've always said I've wanted one, but have never had the opportunity to buy one, or so I thought. This place was in the back of a small shopping center off Woodcliff Drive, near the corner of Briarcliff Road and North Druid Hills (next to Target), under a green and white awning. The woman greeted us and was polite to ask if we needed any help. We said we were just looking, and she nodded and proceeded to follow us around the entire store (one of my pet peeves). They had an extensive selection of styles and fabrics. Examples of the latest styles were hanging on the walls. Of course you can have everything custom made and/or altered there. This was our first time shopping for an Indian wedding. We were looking for formal attire and found several choices that we liked and ended up both finding dresses for the occasion. The lady working at the shop was very helpful - showing us how to wear all the different pieces, making suggestions, and even helped us with tailoring. They somehow managed to pull off a miracle and finished the tailoring before the end of the day. We bought the dresses around 3 pm and they were ready for pick up at 6 pm. I found this place through yelp, and I was glad that I did. I came in looking for a skirt,and saw that they were having a sale. The workers here are pretty friendly, and try their best to help you out. They will also keep telling you about their specials. If you are looking for something in particular, make sure you show them a picture. When I asked the lady a question, she just said "don't worry no problem" without understanding what I was asking. It was fine to me, but just want to let future customers know if you don't speak her language. Their skirts were on sale for $10-$20, and their scarves on sale for $4.99. Sale section had dresses up to 60% off, and they have tons of dresses to choose from, most if not all, from India. This place also has alteration services available. The lady who did the alterations wasn't very friendly but she did a good job (very fast too). Overall good service and good prices! read more

I'm surprised this place hasn't been shut down. As soon as I stepped foot in the store I felt like I had just walked into the back of an Indian restaurant. My wife is Indian, she cooks Indian food at home and while I enjoy eating it I don't exactly want to buy clothes from a place that smells like they're cooking mystery meat. If that waant enough I see a lady eating with her hands near the food. My wife wanted to try on certain outfits but nothing was in her size. I know Indian clothing is expensive but I found comparable clothing across the street at Mumtaz Fashions for less than half the price. Love the selection here - really great collection of Indian and Pakistani clothing. They have simple/everyday outfits, really fancy outfits/special occasion outfits, and everything in between. There's items for women, men, youth, and kids and very reasonably priced compared to other locations nearby. You can also buy random travel items like luggage, converters, and random electronic and cooking accessories in a separate section up front. Staff is really helpful and friendly. I will say that this place is a little hard to find - it sits behind the Malani Jewelers/Ruby Salon, up the hill, and on the right side just before the big parking lot to Cherians Grocery. Texas Sari's parking lot is tight, but there's plenty of spaces! You just have be careful maneuvering in and out. read more

This place has some reasonable clothing options. I was looking for wedding outfits and had to gradually get them to show me more and more expensive outfits, until I got into a range that I liked. I did not end up buying anything here because I did not fall in love with anything, but I found some clothes that I would have bought and actually had them hold for the day. However, in the end, I found a clothing store that was in a higher price range but had better quality clothing to match. Still, I think this place has good options.
