This thrift store in Hurst is absolutely massive, with an incredibly large selection of items. There's so much to look through that it's honestly hard to see everything in one visit. Parking is easy and free, with a large lot right outside. Staff was okay overall--nothing particularly memorable--though I did overhear a comment among them about being glad the store was closing soon, which wasn't the most welcoming vibe. The biggest downside for me is the policy: there are no fitting rooms, and all sales are final. No exchanges or returns at all, which makes shopping a bit risky, especially for clothing. Some nice sales going on when I visited, spending on the label colours. That said, if you enjoy digging through a huge inventory and don't mind taking a chance on sizing, or try clothes over your own, it's still worth a visit. Maybe wear a pair of leggings and a bodysuit on your visit :) read more

No dressing room, refunds are store credit only, the majority of the stock is clothes, little furniture, and don't bother taking an item to the register without a tag... if their designated taggers are not in they will not help you or scan a similar item and will tell you it cannot be sold until a tagger is in and can price and tag it...which apparently in this case did not include the entire weekend and would require us to come back in two days.... It was mostly the last part that was disappointing and honestly ridiculous! read more

Spanish lady with glasses and burgundy fried hair was so rude. Felt like she didn't need to answer any questions or even look me in the eyes. She has horrible customer service and feels like she owns the store . I've been coming here for years and I've never been treated this way. I shop in the store regularly often once a week. I have found clothes for myself, for my granddaughter, household items, and clothing and housewares to be used as props and shows. The staff is super helpful. The store is well organized and clean. read more

They always have sales like 50 %off all items during memorial day, fathers day, Columbus day etc. They have 50% off women's clothes and accessories for mothers day sale. They have daily manager specials like 30% off coats for the next 3 hours in store etc. They use to be more organize and sorted by color but in January they moved everything around because corporate wanted all the stores to 'look the same' I was so mad when they did this because if I was looking for a red shirt in large all I had to do was go to the large section and see all the red group together. Now everything is mixes up and takes me longer to find what I need. Some of the items are over priced and make a no sense to ask for that much for an item that's used. Some items I found still had the original tags and found the thrift store price a bargain. They always have new inventory and always find new things that I love read more

Very disappointed in this store recently. I loved coming and knowing that I could find good deals, not anymore. I think they forget the items are DONATED to them. I found a shirt that was name brand, Free People, and they wanted $40 for the shirt, WHAT!?!! I can get on Poshmark and find the same shirt or some similar for half the price or more. They had a case of paper for $60 dollars, lol what a joke. I buy my paper from Amazon and it is delivered to my house for half the price. I don't even look at the housing department as NONE of it is a good deal. I really only shop for my young son in the clothing department or women's tops. I have gone to the hurst Texas thrift for many years and always have found great items but now items are way over priced and the manger is very rude. Last time I was there the manger would not sell an item that had a tag, making up so fake rule as to why she couldn't sell the item and was very rude about it. Her tact and tone was very inappropriate when I questioned her about it. This is not the first time she acted this way with customers. It makes shopping there very unpleasant. As I stated before the prices are over priced on a lot of items. A dress you can buy at Walmart for $14 dollars will be $10 at Texas thrift. Texas Thrift has the largest selection. Their prices are typically good with the occasional "what are they thinking ?!" They are typically clean and they organize by size which a lot of thrift stores do not. read more

I asked an employee a question about an item and she said that she doesn't speak English. I completely understand that so I was going to use Google translate to get a quick answer. But instead of waiting for me or even getting me someone who speaks English she just starts walking away and was just rude. I enjoyed my time at Texas thrift store in Hulen. I had just wished that their fitting rooms were open I understand that they want to keep them closed because of covet but it is getting to the point where the state is almost back to normal being able to try my clothes on with saved me so much time. When I questioned the clerk about purchasing clothes that were too small because the fitting room was closed what were my cause of actions. I was informed by the thrift store employee that all sales were final and that there were no returns. I will try and go back at another time to see if the fitting rooms have been opened up. This used to be my favorite local thrift store. The selection is great and I buy a lot of clothes here. However, it's not run very well. I wanted to keep a wooden hanger for a sport coat and the cashier called for a manager. 10 minutes later, frustrated me is about to abandon my purchase on the wait and was told I couldn't keep the hanger. The coat was a steal so I bought it - 30% off for the tag color - but I'll go to Thrift Town first next time. They don't bitch about hangers. read more

I really liked this store, everything was organized and by color, the price is little high I bought 5 items for $16 (plus active shorts that were new for $4.89)on a Monday. Monday's blue tags are 99cents and some other color tag discounts. Watch out for the parking don't park in taco casa area or be towed. read more

I would have given more stars - however after browsing through the mass amounts of clothing items and shoes etc. I discovered the store had NO dressing rooms. Their policy is you can return items up to 14 days after purchase but can't get a refund. You're forced to exchange for other items that could AGAIN not fit after bringing home. This could create a long cycle of returns and tries - something I did not want to deal with. In the end I put back all the jeans and items that needed to be tried on. Was a wasted trip really. If they offered a refund instead of exchange at least, I may have considered, but maybe not. That's a major PIA and time consuming roll of the dice. Terrible policy! They closed all their dressing rooms down permanently after Covid. Not a wise decision by management. Thus, they have a HUGE amount of clothing they will likely have difficulty selling. Women don't buy pants and shirts they can't try on. Plain & simple. Covid is over. Open up the dressing rooms. Also, prices on several items like shoes were overpriced. Scuffed up shoes for $12-19. This is one of my favorite thrift stores for several reasons. 1: Very organized. Easy to find whatever you are looking for quickly and easily. 2: The workers are friendly and seem to enjoy what they do. 3: Always a great selection of kid's clothes. Men's not so much, but they can't control inventory much since it's all donation based. 4: Quality. Most items are in good to great condition. One downside: Prices seem to have gone up lately. At times I can get a better deal or almost as good at the store brand new on clearance or sale. They need to remember they are selling used items and price accordingly. However, on good sale days like Monday, one can score big. Overall, a good place to find a bargain! read more

I still don't like the weird knickknack section and the $30 dresses I come across, but it's doing ok. The ladies here are very rude. They have a totally inscrutable policy of lining up halfway across the store instead of at the register (almost no way to know with is unless you've already been told). Two women in the front let me stand behind another customer for a long time, even waiting for her to go out to her car to find some extra cash and come back inside, before before rudely informing me that I needed to get to the "proper" place and line up. I then had to stand behind people who are gotten there well after me, but were familiar with the policy. I don't mind the policy. I don't mind being told where the proper place to stand is. I do mind that they both looked at me many times while I stood there, and let me wait a ridiculous amount of time before making me feel like a jerk for being there. I suspect it was going to be OK that I was standing there until other people lined up in the correct place; either way, it does not justify treating me that way in the slightest read more

I read about this spot whilst looking for a thrift store near my job. I absolutely LOVE IT. I go out of my way to come here & do my monthly book browsing. They always get huge shipments of just about everything. And everything is adequately priced. One of the most clean and orderly thrift stores I have ever been to. They have loads of neat, used items. My mother has bought bed spreads from here, and she's a hard one to please. They usually go for about $15. Their shoe selection is pretty broad as well as the handbags! My Kohl's coupons can get me a better deal. If you come here, expect to spend a lot of money and the staff is extremely rude. On top of that, a lot of their items were disgustingly used.
