This is probably my favorite thrift store. I can and have spent hours in here and still haven't looked at everything. Like other second hand stores, they have 50% off certain items on different days. They have a good selection of everything. It's pretty well arranged. Everything has a price marked on it for the most part. The only problem I have is their policy that if you get to the register and the item does not have a price tag, they absolutely will not sell it to you. I found a book that I had been looking for but it wasn't marked and nothing I said would convince them to sell it. Even though there were dozens of the same type of book all marked the same price. And I was told they couldn't sell it for 24 hours. Didn't make sense to me. If all the books aren't $2 why can't you charge me $2. I even offered to pay whatever the most expensive book went for. It won't keep me from shopping there, I just don't pick up anything without a price tag. I've gotten some expensive designer shoes and clothing for practically nothing. You never know what you will find there. They have a lot of furniture and housewares so it's way more than just clothing. If you like thrifting, you definitely need to check out this store. read more

A so-so thrift store. While they're huge with a big selection, items are poorly organized, rarely clean, and often ragged out. Men's clothes are way overpriced; on brands like Nike or Levi's, the prices for not-so-gently-worn clothes can be as much as new sales prices. I pop in here once in a while to check for sporting goods, like weights or bicycles. They're really odd on their bike pricing - Walmart bikes are ridiculously high but I've seen Specialized and Giant bikes for next to nothing. read more

Four stars, not that bad! I stumbled into this store inbetween a doctor appointment and getting lunch, and I was glad I did. This place is HUGE! They had a decent selection of furniture, most I wouldnt buy, but there were a few sectionals that with some TLC would be good as new! Tons of clothes, which was great for me. Stumbled across their infant clothes and got 11 pieces for $15! What a score! I didn't have time to go through all the other clothes, but I am sure I could have found some great steals. I'm a thrift store junkie and this place has so much stuff- and the things they have seem to be in decent condition. As any thrift store, it's really a hit or miss with what you can find. I love this store!!!! So many good finds. Definitely worth the hour drive. My only complaint is that they have no dressing rooms. So it's a bit frustrating and embarrassing trying to try clothes on over your outfit. And they don't allow people to change in the bathrooms(which I understand but still.) you could easily spend two hours there and still not go through all the clothes so plan accordingly. Also, they don't allow returns(which I would understand if they had dressing rooms to try on outfits). So that's fun. read more

This place is HUGE. I came in to look at furniture and was pleased with the selection. They have a great selection in all their sections. I walked around for a bit and found some kids' clothes I wanted but the line at the one cashier was so long I decided to just leave without buying anything. I had the worst experience at this store. They take money from poor to fund their charity work. Mostly seniors shop at this store, and they dont have a public restroom. They were deceptive regarding an alleged Estate sale on April 15. Their no return policy stinks. read more

No prices on about 10% of the store and they won't sell anything not priced. The "person" who prices is only there Mon-Fri, so the unpriced item you find Friday evening won't even have the chance to get back on the floor until Monday. When they say dressing rooms close in 20 min, they really mean 12, so don't come for clothes within 1.5-2hrs before closing cause there's no telling when the dressing rooms will close. Very inconsistent and most is overpriced for the quality. Head to Thrift Town if you want clean and decently priced. read more

We were at the IH35 location in San Antonio. There were only 3 registers opened with 6-7 people in each line. An employee opened a new register and checked out one customer. Then allowed another employee to cut in front of everyone in line and checked her out. When 3 of us said something the employee being checked out said that it was a register for only employees. So the store will open another register to check out their coworkers, but not help the long lines of customers? Very unprofessional! I will never shop here again and will let ALL my friends and family not to either. Management and employees need to be retrained on good customer service. read more

This place is huge. I was looking for infant/toddler clothes and I found quite a bit. They have 50% off a specific color tagged items so that's cool. And on Wednesdays they give a military discount. Some of the stuff is over priced but I found a few cute things. I had to check over things really well, some had stains so I put them back. The cashier is slow & lazy she totally hates her job they had like only one person working the register it's ridiculous I went with some acquaintances and I saw some shirts that had the original price on them and get this they sold it at this thrift store for -$2 compared to a price from Ross I found some decent looking gym clothes and a nice shirt but the prices were high for a thrift store I went to a different one after this one and found more things for cheaper prices and they were friendly and clean compared to this location like seriously y'all are a thrift store what makes y'all think people will pay $5 & up for clothes might as well go to a regular store I saw some fiesta themed shirts that looked dirty especially around the neck & shoulders area y'all tried selling those $9 & up what a shame either throw them out or sell them for cheaper prices y'all are ridiculous trying to poke people's eyes qué vergüenza read more

Wonderful place for all things used. Best clothes, best knick knacks, best prices around.

The prices for the clothes are way high too me. However if you can get in there on one of the days they do a half off sale, it is worth it. They do those pretty much every holiday. You have to dig which can be said of any thrift shop. The last time I was in they had all the ladies clothes 50% off and I got 4 shirts and 4 pairs of shorts for 25$. Check to make sure there are no stains because they have no problem selling clothes with stains. But if you do really look you can find some deals. The place is huge! I generally just go there for the book section which is large and well priced. They also have a ton of stuffed animals for 1$ each so my daughter loves getting to pick one out. read more

This store is very very very big and they have beautiful clothing and very beautiful purses and lots and lots of name brands and they always have sales and Tomorrow its Good Friday 2013 and they will open the store up from 5am to 9pm and everything in the store will be 50% percent off ..I love this store they have chicos, jc crew, Ed hardy and true religion jeans and new york company and boston proper and really cheap clothing!!!! Its well worth going to this store and the workes are really nice and if it doesnt have a price on it they will give you a price not like other thrift stores its so so amazing and their jewlrey counter is so beautiful....and all of their misceallnous are really cheap ...and gorgeous shoes and so on and so on the store is not like what it used to be ..its as alot of improvement...you will love thhis store!!!!!!!! They dump all these stuff on the shelves and half these items are almost always never priced and when you walk up front they won't sell the item. By far the rudest experience here. I came here about an hour and a half before closing on a FRIDAY, looked around and did my thing went to the dressing room 50 minutes before closing and the lady told me the dressing rooms aren't open. Why have a thrift store open if they won't let you try on items??? Especially 50 minutes before closing. I understand 15 minutes before closing like thrift town and many other thrift stores do but 50 minutes before closing is absolutely ridiculous. But luckily one lady was kind enough to open up a dressing room for me. Then half way while I was trying on items some worker starts banging on the door and yelling that the dressing rooms are closed. Told her that one girl let me in so I didn't see what the issue was. Then her and 2 other ladies are just yelling across the room. SO unprofessional. Finished trying on my items and decided I wasn't going to purchase anything especially after how rude the ladies were. I put the items back where I found them and walked out while 3 workers just give me this ugly ass stare. I will definitely not be coming back here and I'll be letting others know not to come here. I shop "regular" stores and also the thrift stores. Since Thrift Town is right next to my house I shop it mostly and get great bargains, low prices. But you do have to really search for good quality. Texas Thrift Shop is a step up. Much better quality clothes and items. Often I find new items with tags still on them. The prices are a little bit higher (a pair of pants might be $1-$2 more than the other store) but I can still buy some pants for $3.00 - $5.00! Cheaper than Walmart, Penny's, and any other place! For those complaining about having to search or put up with a little bit of disarray...HEY! ...it's a thrift store! It's not Macy's!! These stores are the clean, airconditioned versions of a garage sale! Wonderful places to find bargains. ESPECIALLY if you are looking for kid clothes! Why spend $30 on a kid shirt only to have them outgrow it in 4 months! The kid section often new or practically new looking outfits because kids grow so fast. read more
