    2nd location

Unfortunately I wouldn't use this again in the future. Cute idea but did not take me in town of Fredericksburg as mentioned in the listing which is one of the reasons why I books. Every where we went was an hour away from Fredericksburg. The first two locations were fine nothing fancy. The last location we went to was not a winery more like an outdoor bar, that killed the vibe for me. Also the van was hot on the drive back which was not fun. I hope to find a different company that takes us in town to see the shops and wineries if that even exists. "We will be heading out to explore the wonderful Fredericksburg area complete with visiting wineries and spending some time in town all while being chauffeured aboard a comfortable vehicle so you do not have to worry about planning a thing. You will also enjoy a wonderful Italian Meal catered at one of the wineries. "

I went on the wine tour from San Antonio and I had an amazing experience! Hands down a must do if you are looking to explore with friends. I could not believe how organized and smooth the entire trip went. They definitely have gotten this tour down to a T, and everyone was so nice and beyond understanding with everything! Going again and cannot wait!

They cancelled 24 hrs before the event and didn't mention about a refund! It's hard to get in contact with anyone

Tour itself was ok. Tour guide was great and very friendly as well as our bus driver. The poor rating is directly related to the lack of customer service. Communications weren't sent out when they said they would be. Then company stopped communicating with me regarding my refund. I had to go through my bank to get a refund for 1 person in my party. I was within the cancellation period and received confirmation I would get a refund. I reached out a few times and crickets. Still haven't heard anything. Wouldn't use them again. Wish I would have looked at BBB before using them. 114 complaints and hasn't responded to 99 of them! https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/austin/profile/tour-operators/texas-winos-0825-1000132013 ******************* Update May 16, 2025 ******************* Richard Wino has reached out twice now asking why did say they wouldn't help me. His initial tone was aggressive. I am stating the facts in my review. It is strange how he can now respond after not responding before. I was just informed that another person in my party was charged 2xs the same amount. This charge seems retaliatory in nature. I was just contacted this week by Richard Wino and told him there is really nothing more to discuss at this point on May 12th because my bank refunded the money. This is very shady - please beware. Now I can see why they're rating F by the BBB. I also warned the other people in my party to look at their statements. This seems more of a pattern if you go and read the complaints on the BBB website (link is above) just screen shot and save photo and click on the photo link it takes you to the complaints for this company. The other person in my party was charged. 1st charge was March 26, 2025 $335 2nd charge was May 15, 2025 for $335

Email canceling 40 minutes before our tour.

If I could rate ZERO stars I would! This is an absolute scam. They emailed right before our tour; you try to call the number, and it goes nowhere. Richard is the one I dealt with, and he emailed back and forth for the tour. He said he would give us a deal and recommended not to buy the Groupon. He charged all of my friends and me a month before, yet suddenly the driver had some "medical emergency." They had us meet them at Twisted Sisters Bakery in Fredericksburg, Texas, which apparently does not even exist anymore. We got the email on our way to that supposed bakery. Thankfully, I disputed the charge with my credit card, and they credited my account. However, I will be looking for fraudulent charges. Do not buy this tour.

    Leaking bus

I would not recommend this winery tour. The bus was leaking didn't seem very organized and I was double charged still waiting for a refund tried to reach out to the company with this issue and no response so I'm having to file a claim with my bank.

The process for booking the tour was simple as it can be done online or in person. Patrons purchase tickets and are given a schedule of when the bus departs from the meeting point and of the sights the bus stops at. When entering the bus, patrons are permitted to sit wherever they choose on the double-decker bus. The Things elected to sit on the top deck in the baking hot sun (not recommended on a TX summer day). The tour is what you make it. You can craft your own route as the bus routes are designed to take you near the main landmarks in the city. By taking the hop on, hop off option, you can change routes and discover the city at leisure. The bus stops are multiple locations along the route, and the bus driver provides fun facts about the places along the bus route. While I didn't learn anything new about my city, The Things did. This is a great option for those looking to do something different in their own city or for those who are visiting S.A. for the first time.

(Nice) One driver however, literally talked to the two women in the front seats about the Pink Concert that was happening in the evening. I was thinking.... Tell me about the damn history!! I just did a tour in Austin that was a lot cheaper and was way more fun and informative. (But it wasn't a hop on/hop off tour) Wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't do it again. Could have driven to most of the stop and even with parking, would have been cheaper.

You get to visit 5 different stops (mine was only four since it was the starting phase). I went on a Sunday tour, the tour differs between the two based on the dessert place (La Boulangerie on Saturday, Paleteria on Sunday). The tour was great, we start at Ocho, you get a taste of one of the popular dishes and history on SA, then start on foot towards Luke, receiving information about the city on the way. I enjoyed a great little dish and drink at Luke, then headed on to Nectar, and got a HUGE sampling of the meats and cheeses that they offer, from there we head to Zinc. At Zinc I tried one of the best guacs in town, and saw some of my fellow tour-ers the purchase a Prickly Pear Margarita, which was really really pretty. (Typically you visit a desert place last, but because i went on the tour before the Paleteria was confirmed, we skipped this stop.) The SA Food Tours staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they've put a lot of time and hard work into the tour, and its a great way to experience San Antonio's food scene and get some history at the same time. I've lived here all my life and learned and tried new things on the tour, it's worth it!

The shop itself was wonderfully decorated and had a wide variety of books and souvenirs. I went to the shop a few times during the week we were there. All of the customer service staff at the shop were amazing, one of which went digging through boxes in the back for 5 minutes so they could find my size in a shirt I really wanted. Since my partner and I were there to celebrate my birthday, we decided to splurge for the bus tour so I could see the local cemeteries. Our tour guide was Lady Lex who had big theatre kid energy in the best way. She was incredibly engaging and patient with everyone who wanted to take a lot of photos. Our bus driver Robert was great as well. I was truly appreciative of Lady Alex's statement at the cemetery that while the stories are intriguing, ultimately they are about real people who lost their lives and we should respect the tragedy of that. While I love a good ghost/true crime story, I think it's important to humanize the subjects of those stories. There was Plenty interaction with the very knowledgeable and articulate tour guide who was additionally able to share a few of their own ghostly experiences which made it all very real. The apparitions at the Menger Hotel made great stories. However, the tour went over the 1 1/2 hours which was fine but THEN you walk all the way back another at least 1/2 mile to where you started.
