I was via this place during the passing of my father and there were times that a new nurse would come in, me and my Dad's wife and not say nothing, and or be rude. The Hospice people were very nice and kept the family updated. Sherman is in need of another hospital . If you have an emergency you really have no choice. I had a situation when I went to Wilson and Jones and had to be moved to this hospita, and a situation when I went for supposedly was a simple procedure that became a hellish nightmare with the suppose to be patient advocate, who never talked to me covered for a few horrible nurses actions, the actions of a ultra sound blood taking person. Then I had an Indian nurse who did not know how to listen to a heart and at the same visit said she read my vitals and the readings were not good, but the one nice nurse was in the room and advised her my vitals were good that day and the prior day. The Indian nurse looked at us and ran out of the room. There are several rude nurses and many non-American doctors. Also, if you or a family member need rehabilitation services after a visit, please look take a look at all available rehab places. The Reba Rehab people, who are part of TMC are on the facility to try to influence you to their rehab facility. The only reason a gave two stars is due to my visits with the facility, the team of doctors that placed my stent were all true professionals and the hospitality they all showed was true and very nice. Oh, another bit of information to know. The transfer ride in the ambulance from Wilson and Jones, which is only a couple of miles apart, cost $700. read more

Avoid Texoma Medical Center. Surgery was performed despite a known infection, resulting in serious complications, two ER visits, and a hospital readmission. Care was negligent, critical steps were missed, and the medical record did not reflect what actually happened. The hospital was dismissive and evasive when confronted. This was unsafe care. I entered the ED at 4:30 AM on December 29, 2024. I was there 4 hours. As only two out of the 10 or so people who were in and out of my room identified themselves I was never quite sure who I was speaking to. 1 name tag was visible. It took two separate ED RN's to get IV set for me to take pain meds and for blood to be drawn for labs. Prior to my discharge nurse coming in after shift changed some person in black scrubs walked in and gave me a death notice. She spoke about my kidney stone and then about how I was going to die in the next few days if I did not see a cardiologist immediately. I know that if an RN feels you are in a life-threatening situation, proper protocol is to call for a cardiac consult. Hold the patient over for that consult or admit them to the hospital if you deem it necessary. Do not discharge , do not let them walk out of the room on their own to the ED waiting room without assistance or wheelchair after being on pain medication's and being recumbent for over four hours. After reading a copy of the ED notes, I also found out that my medical chart was fraud. Not one hand was laid on me to do an assessment yet the entire chart was filled out as if they assessed me from the tip of my toes to the top of my head, assessing my stomach, my eyes, my mouth, my ears and my neck. Other than the three pokes to get a vein started, my temperature was taken, and the pressure cuff was put on me. Otherwise, nobody laid hands on me at all. As TMC is the only hospital in network with my coverage, I am looking at one of the multiple hospitals that are in network for me in Collin County to get pre-registered in or paying out-of-network charges. read more

Used to be a great hospital, but now I'd only go there if I were bleeding to death. Disorganized and unprofessional. I was supposed to go there to get a heart monitor that my doctor ordered. The hospital gave me an appointment ten days later. I sure hope it's nothing serious. Went there today for the appointment they gave me, and they had no record of my appointment. Told I could wait and they'd "fit" me in. After looking at 16 people in the lobby ahead of me to register, half of whom were coughing and gagging, I left. No wonder I drive my wife to Dallas for her care. read more

One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. Ambulance would not go anywhere else so we are stuck with the monopoly they have. We literally were in a room and never saw the nurse except at start of shift. The trash was overflowing with no janitorial service in the over 24 hours we were there. The incredible tech (only bright spot of our stay) took the trash out and helped us. They seemingly try to keep you beyond the necessity. I would avoid this hospital if you have a choice, go somewhere else. read more

On 5/27/25 I was admitted to TMC for a major artery surgery in both of my legs. The entire nursing staff between ICU and the fifth floor were fantastic in helping me with anything I needed. I would like to extend a special thank you to the following nurses; Kacie, Julie, Sean, Stacy, Maddy, Kendra, Ashley, Lindsey, Janet, Melissa, Nathalie, Kayden, Katelin, Jorge, Sam, Marie, Misty, Rebecca, Nikki, Connie, Lorie and Danger. The ED clinical staff and Dr's were really great and thorough, however, the room was disgusting. The floors were filthy with dust and trash under the bed and in the corners. There was a ring around the sink and the bed had a thick layer of dust built up on the railings and wheels. Even the chairs and trash cans in the room were filthy. I work in a hospital and I can assure you, this is not normal or acceptable. I'm glad my spouse received good care, however EVS needs to step up their game! read more

I was here with my daughter when she delivered her second child. While she was in labour and throughout delivery, everyone was wonderful. The nurses was so sweet. I could tell they love their jobs (and they didn't, then they were great actors). The labor and delivery room was huge. There were 5 of us in there with my daughter and there was plenty of room. She was given an epidural early, so she was pain-free and we all just hung out and talked all day. When the time came for her to deliver, everyone had to leave but me and my son-in-law. The doctor and nurses were so sweet to my baby girl and they were on their toes. She delivered without any complications. I love the tight security they have on the maternity floor. You have to be buzzed through to get to any of the rooms. Even though I didn't have to wait in in, the waiting room is nice and large. It looked to be a comfortable area. This is one of the smallest hospitals I've been in, so it was very easy to navigate. There is a nice cafeteria with decent food. I ate several meals there during the two days my daughter and grandson were in the hospital. There is also a very nice gift shop with gift shop prices. Nonetheless, I still bought quite a few items from there for my daughter and newborn grandson because they were just adorable items that I had never seen anywhere else. The gift shop is also the snack shop in the hospital. If you need a soda, bottle of water, chips, etc., then this is where you need to come. In the lobby there is a Starbucks stand. I got hot chocolate for the family from there and it was good. I also got myself a number of iced coffees. The reason I took one star away is because after my daughter delivered, they moved her into a VERY tiny room. Luckily, there wasn't another person assigned to the other bed in her room, but still, it was a very tiny room. My claustrophobia would have kicked in if I'd had to sleep in that room. Oh... and also on the maternity floor they have a playroom which was wonderful to have because I had to keep my granddaughter entertained the day after my daughter gave birth because her husband had to work and she didn't want to be at the hospital alone, so I stayed their with my granddaughter rather than at home. The nurses also had snacks available for y granddaughter which was very cool. read more

This is one of the absolute worst hospitals I've ever had the displeasure of visiting and if I could rate it a negative anything, I would. My mom has been sick for quite some time and WNJ and TMC are the hospitals that are within range to get her care otherwise we would have taken her elsewhere. Not all, but most of the employees (Nurses, Techs, Doctors, even the ladies who sit at the front desk, etc) have been hateful and rude every step of my mom's care. At every visit there was at least one-two people who seem like they're only there for a paycheck and should not work in healthcare. I was told by a charge nurse named Lauren that she would have my mother removed by security from the hospital if I wasn't there at a certain time to pick her up. To paint the picture, my mother is 100 pounds, fragile, and very weak with a wound vac stretching about 10 inches down her abdomen protecting her incision. She has contracted MRSA and C-DIFF from this hospital along with rude care. When I called to get her medicine from CVS, where they said they sent it, CVS only had one of her scripts. I called the hospital and spoke with a nurse named Caitlin that told me since my mother was no longer a patient that I would have to contact medical records for them to contact her PCP and her PCP would have to send them in. My mother doesn't currently have a PCP and she HAS to have the medication to keep her healing. So, I told the nurse I wanted to speak with her house supervisor named Karen because the hospital was supposed to send the medication in that is on her discharge papers. The nurse put me on hold and I assume spoke with her charge nurse and they "*somehow*" were able to look up and see that the rest of my moms scripts were sent to Kroger. It seems like they're trying to make life harder than it has to be and once again they shouldn't be in healthcare. This is by far not the first time I've had a problem with staff resulting in me talking and dealing with the house supervisor. Quite often it seems like the staff is "too good" to care for the patients, they have something else they would rather be doing, and they're walking around on a high horse which is not a good look in healthcare. Being humble and compassionate is extremely important and they are neither. I would never recommend taking your loved ones here. If possible, take them further south to somewhere like Medical City. Also to add, my mother has had her make-up bag stolen after multiple comments from the suspected woman who stole it saying how much she liked the products and bag. To top it off, her phone has been missing since I picked her up on Friday and when I called, lost and found have not seen it because it has not been turned in. I'm extremely disappointed in this hospital which you're supposed to be able to trust taking care of your people. read more

I had my baby here in 2022, it was the worst experience I've ever had in my life! The lactation nurse took my infant moments after birth and after repeatedly saying the ankle monitor wasn't working well, out of my room and never came back! I had to wait for the epidural to wear off to go look for my baby in which I found in NICU receiving medicine I was never discussed about! I then was told she had a heart condition and she would be sent somewhere else. I was told I could not go in the helicopter because it was an emergency requiring possible surgery. I watched my newborn fly away this infant had no family and I was left childless as they continued to for r breastfeeding and pumping on me while I sat there crying and grieving my newborn. Then, after I was able to leave, I go to children's hospital and I am told my infant is the healthiest baby there and she can go home! I was then sent a 87,000 bill for the helicopter that was all for nothing ! I still think about it every day and I hate this hospital and everything about it! I don't know if I should sue them or just try to get past it but I know I have never felt so helpless and disappointed in my life and I can't get over how they ruined my first daughter's experience and mine. read more

Brenda Murdock nurse obviously doesn't pay attention to the patients and miss triages them. On another note she stated that I yelled at them when I spoke to them about it. So I guess when she is talking to me I need to complain she is yelling since that is has she feels people yell. They really need to hire better staff for triage. read more

I went to the TMCs emergency room at around on 11:30pm on 1/12/23. I was in the most horrible stomach pain I have ever experienced, hence I knew something was potentially very wrong and decided to go to the ER. The nurse at the front desk wasn't the most welcoming or friendly, however right away she took my vitals and checked me in, then had me wait in the lobby. I threw up twice while in the lobby. After one hour of waiting I asked how much longer the wait would be and was informed they didn't have any rooms available, and they didn't know how much longer I would be waiting... my husband confirmed with the clerk at the front desk that it could be anywhere from 25 minutes or several hours depending on when a room becomes available. Concerned about appendicitis based on my symptoms, I left. About 45 minutes later I arrived at an ER in McKinney, where I was seen the moment I walked through the door. Medicine was administered and a CT scan was completed. Within 30-45 minutes I was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. The facility made my transfer to the nearest Methodist McKinney Hospital quick and easy. There I underwent an operation to remove my appendix. The doctor advised my husband that my appendix was severely swollen and near gangrene. My wife was discharged from Methodist McKinney hospital in the morning of 1/13/23. I am glad I decided to leave TMC after an hour of waiting. I'm sure the staff at Texoma Medical were doing the best they could with what they had, but it would appear they are lacking the resources needed to provide an acceptable level of care. Dangerously understaff... If in an emergency, I would suggest you drive to McKinney instead of wasting your time coming here. I also overheard them telling a lady that sounded like she required surgery ASAP that they were doing the best to find a room... she had been waiting longer than I had!!! read more

Being treated there and applying for a job has been pretty racist experince for me. I Know young women who work there and have posted patient labs on snap chat, but they don't seem to care. How can they keep people like that there and not give anyone else an opportunity. read more

Office experience was okay in person. Over the phone, not so good. I was disappointed with my doctor. Also, had to get a referral. That doctor just as bad. Same location! They act like they don't care-in a hurry and don't listen. read more

The only bright spot here is a few of the employees. Communication is abysmal to non-existent. I sat for three weeks with my mother and can tell you first hand you do not want to leave anyone you care about alone in this facility. It is owned by some group in California, that should tell you all you need to know. My mother needed a procedure on her spine but had to wait several days. While she was in their care they messed up her medications and it took me days to get it straightened out. In the meantime, she didn't get her meds and developed AFib and pneumonia. This required her to stay even longer to get the procedure. When she was finally discharged to skilled nursing for rehab, the hospital did not send the order for her blood thinner to the facility. I immediately began doing all I could to get it corrected, but it took four days. By then, she was rushed back to the hospital with blood clots in her legs and lungs, and died that same day. Had she been able to have the procedure the day she went in, she would have come home and probably still alive. To add insult to injury, I got bills for her stay after her death. I couldn't pay them immediately because her funds were tied up with her estate. I did pay them about a month after I received them. It's now been almost two months since I made payment, and I have gotten three additional notices of payment due for the same charges. Getting to talk to someone is impossible unless you leave a number and sit by your phone until they decide to return your call. I'll repeat there are a few excellent nurses, but overall this place is a disaster waiting to happen. My wife is a retired nurse, and I've worked a hospital myself. We are both appalled by what we have experienced. read more

I guess they picked this hospital because the OB/GYN she has? She's not even had the baby yet and I'm already over this Dump and it's rude staff. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, I arrived at the ER by car. I waited for 4 hours to be seen, only to be released at 3 a.m. for "a slight infection." I tried to explain I was still in severe pain and couldn't use the restroom. I was informed that the "constipated" feeling is normal with infection. I was told my blood work showed no peritonitis. Thursday, July 11, 2024, again, I returned to the ER by car. I explained I was in the ER the night before and that my nephrologist had instructed me to have the staff to call him when I arrived. When I explained this, I was told, "We can't just call the doctors; that is up to the ER doctor to decide if that was necessary." At this point I was in so much pain, I couldn't function. I couldn't potty, pass gas or even sit normal. I was running a fever of 100.03 when I left my house. Keep in mind, I am also a chemo-patient, and any temp. over 100.5 is considered dangerous. They took my temperature with the forehead thermometer, and it registered 96.3 "No, ma'am." So, I requested an oral thermometer, and my temperature came back as 101. Yet again, I was sent home with a diagnosis of constipation and was given a prescription sent to my pharmacy (after hours) for a Fleet Enema, which could have been purchased at Walmart; I shouldn't have had to wait overnight access that. Friday, July 12, 2024, I woke up and drove to the pharmacy before they opened in so much pain waiting for meds I could have gotten at the local CVS. After using the medicine given to me, I STILL was unable to get any relief. I decided the only way to be seen immediately was to return to the ER via ambulance. So yes, I called 911 to drive me to the hospital. It was only then did I FINALLY get diagnosed. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was worse than it should have been. I DID have peritonitis and colonists and had become septic. Had I been seen and treated properly the first trip to the ER, I might have avoided this extreme outcome. SINCE ADMISSION, I was moved to 7th floor due to heart-failure. I kept telling my nurse I couldn't use the restroom, I hurt so bad. I had to "fight" to get a prescription strength enema. It took a while to take effect, and when it did, it came out of nowhere. Thank GOD my mother was visiting because the only way I got cleaned up was by her. The nursing staff did not show up for 25 minutes. And when she did show up, it was only because my heart monitor went off. Of course, it did; I was so humiliated and embarrassed) We POLITELY told the nurse (which was not even MY nurse) "No, it's okay. My mom has already cleaned me up, but I could use new sheets. I waited an additional 15 minutes for a set of sheets. This same thing happened several times the same night as the enema was finally working. I was left a bedside commode to use which I was okay with except when I went to use it, there was no bowl in it. It's a good thing I looked; otherwise, I would have soiled the floor. I called for heat packs at 3:39 p.m. -- nurse arrived --- called again @ 4:01 to ask for heating packs again and a different size bp cuff -- arrived @ 4:13. Oxygen monitor kept going off for 2 days straight. One nurse even woke me up at 2 a.m. in a frantic state telling me I have sleep apnea and threw oxygen on me. The next day, they finally came to the conclusion that the wiring was faulty. They should have known that my heart rhythm waves were not conducive to a lack of oxygen. Once the equipment was replaced, I miraculously had 100% reading. I'm wondering if the oxygen will be billed to my insurances, as it was completely unnecessary. NEEDLE: I was able to make it to the restroom, and when I got back into my bed, I noticed I was laying on a used syringe the entire night. When I noticed it, the nurse quickly grabbed it and "give me that." CAFETERIA: The lady in the cafeteria called me and when I answered, there was dead silence. So, I said hello only to hear an aggravated "HOLD ON!" I responded with "excuse me." Her tone completely changed. I believe she may have been speaking to a co-worker, but it was very unprofessional. They shouldn't be yelling at staff or patients. BINDERS: Being a renal patient, my phosphorous jumped up to 9.6 because I was NEVER given my binders (Sevelamer) on time. I called the nurse 20 minutes before my mother was coming with lunch and explained I would need those so they would have plenty of time to get the medication to me. Thirty minutes later, mom shows with food, the nurse still did not bring my binders. So, I either ate my food hot without binders or cold and nasty with binders. UNACCEPTABLE. DISCHARGE: I was impressed with how quickly I was discharged. All leads were removed, and papers signed and was moments from being wheeled down to my car only to realize the IV was still in my chem port. When I told the nurse, she said "we didn't put your port in; that was your nephrologist." I had to physically lift my shirt to show her. read more

I don't know what to make of the complaints about this facility. It's exceptional. Top-notch! The people working here are the most professional in what they do. ER physician Dr. Fletcher looks youthful yet is years in knowledge. I was more than happy with my service and wouldn't hesitate for a second to come back again. Dr. Fletcher correctly diagnosed my conditions and am currently on the schedule for surgery. I love having such a great facility near by. I am deeply grateful. -Dave read more

I took my wife to the ER due to severe pain in the lower part of her abdomen (where her ovaries where located) and vaginal bleeding. After several hours in an ER room, blood worm, urine sample and 2 different types of sonograms, both nurse's and a doctor said that my wife was suffering from a bad period... Before those sonograms were preformed, both my wife and I explained that my wife was feeling movement in her abdomen! While performing the first of 2 sonograms, I seen, what appeared to be a child (on the monitor), the employee and my wife both seen exactly what I seen and the employee completely ignored it!! After both of them sonograms were finished, the doctor, 2 nurse's and the employee that performed the sonogram, still told my wife that she was not pregnant!! We found out just weeks after this, that my wife was infact pregnant!! She was already well into her 2nd trimester!!! How is that possible, even after all those tests??!!! We've could've taken the proper precautions and the proper care that our unborn child, desperately needed!! This happened 3 times, before we finally found out that she was indeed pregnant!! read more

I had such a horrible and avoidable inconvenience this morning due only because the hospital scheduling staff failed to do the right thing! Doctors approved surgery and I get a call 2 days before my surgery asking for full payment. I told the lady I only had half of the money and would need to reschedule until I had the rest! The lady told me not to worry and to just come in and they will take the money I have and bill me for the rest! I double checked with her and confirmed that she said it was OK and I didn't have to reschedule. Well, guess what! I take off work and wake up at 4am and have somebody else take off work to take me!!! We arrive and they finance person tells me they it's have full payment and I have to reschedule!! Can you believe that! They made me take a day off work, inconvenience another person to take off work and take me only to find out they won't do the surgery unless I have full payment! I totally get it!! I agree!! But I was told to come in anyway. What a joke!!' I'll find me another hospital when I have the full payment for the procedure. Even my doctors were upset at the hospital for the jerk around!! So sad that they are so unorganized!! read more

My 14 year old brother was taken here for suicidal ideation. The security guards were rude to him and he was treated like a prisoner. He's just a kid and he was terrified. I was seen at this ER late one night per my mothers advise b/c it was late and I did not feel good at all, and the dr spent maybe 2 min with me and I can't say much for the welcoming staff, on the following week I was not any better and went to Care Now in Frisco Tx and was treated correctly by a Dr with antibiotics for two weeks. The Dr I saw at the Texoma Medical Center billed my insurance over $2100.00 for that visit that night. I may have spent 10 min total at this hospital ER. I do not recommend this ER or the physician I saw that night and will not be returning to it ever. I did not feel they cared for my needs at all that night and had no problem billing my insurance for a service that was not provided and not only did the physician not treat me properly I continued to be sick and I then had to see another doctor so that I could be treated correctly this time. Had this "team" taken the proper care of my needs that night and spent a little more time caring for the patient, all this could have been prevented. DB read more

I have never in my life experienced less professionalism. I was having brain issues, and they said "I do not care if you are having a heart attack, go back in the waiting room." I waited two hours, and was treated like trash for another few hours when seen. They asked if I was on any drugs and I said no. They still tested me for everything including PCP. Is PCP even still a thing? What part of no, did they not get? The nurse could not find a place for the IV. He stabbed me 4-5 times in each arm trying. They did finally give me a cat scan. I asked to see the results and they said the doctor had left and I would have to file a request to see them. I have never in my life felt so violated and not taken care of. If EMT's say you have 10 minutes to live and Baylor is 35 minutes away, I will go to Baylor! read more

The Dr I saw diagnosed me with muscle pain after only seeing me fore less than a minute and told me it was likely because I held my 8 week old son too much. He did an xray and specifically told me that I had no pneumonia or broken bones. Upon further testing at a different hospital the next day I found out I had blood clots on my right lung and pneumonia with fluid on my left.. this misdiagnosis could have been very serious and could have caused my lung to die and become necrotic. Causing me to need a lung transplant or even killing me leaving 2 children without their mother a husband without his wife a mother and father without their daughter and a sister without her sister. I really hope the er doc I saw is more diligent with his patients before someone less knowledgeable than I am trust his judgment and gets seriously hurt or even dies read more

I don't even know who my admitting doctor is I don't even know what they're doing. They're just sitting on their butt doing nothing. I've asked for pain medicine for the last 20 times and nobody has come in and told me anything I'm about to complain to the administration because this is a bunch of BS making a patient sit in pain not doing anything about it not really helping me get the pain under control. I have called for the nursing doctors over 10 times with me and excruciating pain and they still haven't even addressed my pain since 10 o'clock last night. read more

I was sent home and told that my anemia is causing my shortness of breath and it wasn't low enough to get a blood transfusion so to just be aware that that was making me feel short of breath and you know if I dropped lower then I could get blood transfusion . Follow up with my doctor about my iron and all that. I leave I feel much worse I go to Wilson and Jones in like the next 24 hours and they admit me and takeoff 25 pounds of fluid in 2 1/2 days so it wasn't my anemia. I'm just thankful to be alive. read more

Instead of dwelling on all the negative aspects of staff, which includes doctors and nurses, I would like to commend nurses Jane, Shay and Misty on the 8th floor and RN Brittany on the 7th floor as well as Dr. Roque, Vallenki and Dr. Marshall. We experienced many there who shouldn't be in the medical profession and it is very frustrating when you are already at your wit's end because your parent has cancer, but to have to deal with some who are not cut out for the profession they have chosen is an extra sword through the heart. We have decided not to use that hospital again. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Friday night and they have 1 dr in the ER. 1. I brought my son in for an ear ache, he was in so much pain we sat for over 4 hours in an ER room to be checked in on once and it was a simple letting us know they have 1 dr tonight. Never came back by for anything else. I stood in the hallway for 30 min before anyone walked by and then another 15 before anyone actually came. At this point I was completely done and signed out without receiving any care for my child. The worst ER experience of my life. read more

Dangerously understaffed. Took my wife to the emergency room on the night of 1/12/23. She complained of nausea and severe pains in the lower right quadrant of her abdomen. Right away an employee took my wife's vitals and checked her in, then had us wait in the lobby. My wife vomited twice while in the lobby. After one hour of waiting I asked how much longer the wait would be and was informed they didn't have any rooms available, and they didn't know he much longer we would be waiting. I confirmed with the clerk at the front desk that it could be a few minutes or several hours depending on when a room becomes available. Concerned about appendicitis based on my wife's symptoms, we left. About 45 minutes later we arrived at an emergency room in McKinney, TX, where we were seen the moment we walked through the door. Medicine was administered and a CT scan was completed. My wife was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. We were transferred to Methodist McKinney Hospital where my wife underwent an operation to remove her appendix. The operation was a success and the doctor advised my wife's appendix was severely swollen and near gangrene. My wife was discharged from Methodist McKinney hospital in the morning of 1/13/23. Acute appendicitis is a time sensitive condition requiring immediate surgery. Had my wife's appendix ruptured she would have been in the hospital for a several days and become a lot more sick. I'm sure the staff at Texoma Medical were doing the best they could with what they had, but it would appear they are lacking the resources needed to provide an acceptable level of care. My Dad was there for almost a month. After he came out of the hospital after finding out his cancer had spread. He was quarantined for 14 days as expected. He was on hospice care with Guardian which was ok. One of the problems we had was with staff not being on the same page. They sent family from one door to another. We had our temps checked, filled out our paperwork & had a sticker but kept getting the run around. EMT's dropping off a patient were also rerouted even after removing the elderly bedridden patient from the ambulance! The worst parts of his stay there was that we found him mostly naked uncovered with his head downhill near floor level as the wheels had broken off his bed. He said they blamed him. Staff knew about it but never fixed his bed. I raised his bed best I could. There were traces of feces in the floor for @ least a week. He was moved after 14 days back to his shared room. The situation was NOT better. His clothes were missing, & upon the move his other belongings were not moved still. I threatened to search the place before they found his stuff. A wheelchair bound resident entered his room unmasked & uninvited. My Dad was on a minced & moist diet even before this recent move in & out from hospital to quarantine. They delivered a plate with dry cod, coleslaw & cornbread! When I tried to call for a nurse no one came so I approached the nurses station with a mask on but was rudely told to push the nurses button. Goldfish crackers & spaghetti remnants were left under his roomates bed for a week! Another day, upon entering I find his cup of water knocked off in floor spilled on top of his stuff. His little cd player which the hospice nurse was using to play music to help comfort him wasn't even plugged in & his nurse button was down in floor inaccessible to him. When I phoned the director of Sava Senior Care in Houston he was rude & unapologetic & told me our family was supposed to be scheduling our visits! I'm guessing that's so they could "appear like he was getting taken care of". His nurses did the best they could. Most were compassionate but overwhelmed. I blame the directors for not seeing that cleanliness was a top priority especially after putting us thru the screenings. When asked if Dad would be tested for covid(for the staff, roommate's & families sake)again after having been in a hall with a covid patient, I was told they don't do that! We researched this facility. It looked good but I'm distraught that my Dad passed away in this kind of filthy inattentive place. read more

if I could get this place a zero, I would I am just totally appalled on the care that they give my neighbor was put in the hospital last week because she has Covid and now she has recovered from the Covid. Thank God but the care is so unbelievable it scares me the thought of it, they have let her lay in there and dried shit. They bring her tray in there and leave it. The food is totally petrified for days. She never ate because they never fed her. No water no nothing I didn't know what was going on until today and on my way home I cried all the way because I feel like I failed , she downed three glasses of water within an hour me that the nurses won't feed her that they hand her a glass of water tell her not to spill it on herself when you can tell by looking at her, she can't even hold a glass they go and make decisions without notifying the family This is a horrible terrible place. If you have another option, please take it because if you're thinking that your family family member is going to get taken care of because that's what their job is to do and you better stay on read more

Bruce McDade went to Texoma Medical Center and was treated by Dr Scott Christopher Turner and Maqsood Bhatti MD. Dr Scott Christopher Turner performed echocardiogram TTE and the heart structure was not well visualized, and their was unable to see heart valve. In the meantime, my husband was in and out of Texoma Medical Center, and Each Doctor and Dr Scott Christopher Turner was the worse, and continued to discharge my husband without treating aortic stenosis, cad, or paravalvular leak. On 2/19/2020 When we went to 2nd opinion hospital Baylor Scott White, They performed TTE and could not see heart structure and performed TEE. They discovered severe paravalvular mitral valve leak. The damage to the body from hemolytic anemia from paravalvular leak went on for too long and It was too late. My husband passed away on 3/17/2020 after suffering greatly. The 2003 Tort reform allows Texoma Medical Center to suffer and die. Do not go to Dr Scott Christopher Turner at Texoma Medical Center. read more

This place is awful. Nobody here seems to care. My wife slice her finger and it's just hanging on by the skin. They didn't try to put it on ice or clean it up. We've been waiting for over 3 hours for them to do something. She is going to lose a finger cause the people here don't give a shit about it. Not we're waiting to be transferred to Medical City McKinney cause the only hand surgeon is on vacation for two weeks. I would not recommend this hospital. read more

This review is of Dr. Branum located at TMC in Denison, TX. Dr. Branum accepted me as a new patient. I didn't schedule an appointment with her until I had a stomach bug which took 2 weeks to get the appointment (which is somewhat understandable because doctors are busy). I got several reminders of the appointment, then the afternoon before the appointment her nurse called me and canceled the appointment saying I wasn't her patient and that she had never accepted me as a patient. After being transferred to three different people, they finally found in my records where Dr. Branum did, in fact, accept me as a new patient. The nurse then explained because I never set up a new patient appointment she wouldn't be able to see me. She said she'd talk with Dr. Branum and would call me the next morning (the original scheduled appointment was 2:00); she called me the day of the appointment at 8:40 am and said Dr. Branum refused to see me and would not be accepting me as a patient. I'm not sure why, I asked, and she simply said Dr. Branum said No. I wouldn't recommend her simply for her professionalism, or lack thereof. I realize all doctor's offices are busy with many patients, but when did not caring about a person's health become the forefront of doctor's decisions. Do not recommend Dr. Branum. TMC and their doctors has really changed over the years, and not for the better. read more

I'm so upset on the customer service / care of the nurses here. I came in with severe back pains and my nurse was very rude and disrespectful and made me feel very uncomfortable with my visit. I called the nurse in charge and she was very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. I can't believe this is how they treat patients that come to them for medical attention I'm gonna have to wait to speak to the supervisor and let them know how poorly I was treated today :/ read more
