Never felt a need to post on Yelp until now... I bought a supposedly new electric ride-on car toy for my granddaughter from these folks. The display model was high up on a shelf and was "the only one in stock" in the color I wanted. Found it a little strange that I had to sign a release for a little electric car before they loaded it up into my car, but it was new, so I didn't think too much about it at the time - I have to do that with furniture or large items when I take them home myself and there's potential to damage them. A few days later I charged the battery before its first use and noticed the bumper on the front was loose on one end. When I lifted the front of the car to see the underside I found obvious impact damage that had broken the bumper supports, including one side that now had no support at all. When I called to simply get the toy exchanged for a new one, the person answering the phone let me know that they had four more in stock, but I'd have to speak to the owner but he wasn't there at the time. When I called later, the owner was totally calm and completely and absolutely unsupportive, mentioning during the conversation that it was Chinese manufactured with no warranty and he only made ten bucks on it anyway. Also said he wouldn't take it back or replace it because he would lose the purchase price and asked why he should be expected to do that. At most, he offered for me to bring it in and they'd see if they could fix it. What I attempted to convince him is that I bought a NEW vehicle and this wasn't in new condition. Basically he said it was my responsibility to check it before taking it, and that he didn't know what I had done with it since leaving. I asked him if I was supposed to flip the "new" car upside down to see if there's any damage before signing his release form. Absolutely ZERO support... from the owner himself! I then set about to repair it myself to avoid the 25 mile trip to his shop, and when studying it even more closely, not only did I find even more damage, but obvious signs of attemped repairs - a white caulk-like substance applied across one of the cracks and signs of glue as well. To make it even worse, I also found a broken off support for one of the two screws that hold down the seat - Eduardo at the shop had removed the seat with me standing there so that he could connect the battery to demonstrate it running around... he obviously knew it was damaged when it was sold as he had nothing to put a screw into on the right side of the seat... so he didn't!
I would NEVER, EVER do business with people like this again and I very much told them so. read more
