I dont have any actual pics of the gym cause theyre all just selfies of me in the mirror, but this…read moreis a beautiful location! AMPLE parking and welcoming staff! I initially started with their highest membership to have access to tanning and because I go back home to CA from time to time, figured I could use it while I travel, too! The Crunch by my old home in CA is the one of few locations I guess that does not honor this membership I had and had to pay out of pocket (not a ding against this location) so when I got back to NC I downgraded my membership to the basic plan (I also have a membership to Palm Beach Tan so I didnt need their tanning - this location only had stand up beds?). There was a charge to downgrade my membership which was odd but not worried about it.. anyways - they have squat racks that LINE the back wall of the gym, maybe a trillion treadmills, stairmasters and ellipticals which makes getting on one during the 5PM after work rush never an issue! On top of the stairmaster, you can overlook the sea of machines! Some OG machines and new ones that will count your reps! Honestly a huge plus to have more than one or two of a machine.. This location has two SEPARATE rooms for cycling and group classes IN ADDITION to the HIIT/personal-group training designated area! The layout is amazing and feels like this location has literally everything you need and more - aside from a reverse hyper lol! And if this all hasn't sold it for you already... the locker rooms have saunas saunas are CLEAN and odorless which I personally think it amazing. Womens locker room have a TON of lockers of different sizes (bring your own lock - this isnt Lifetime Fitness) and changing rooms and showers! And not to mention the giant selfie mirror!! I know its not what its intended use is, but Id be lying if I said thats not its designated purpose is. Always so happy with this location!! Thanks University team for keeping an amazing gym so clean and easy to always come back to!

The first day I get there, a staff member approaches me while I'm working out. They talk to me for a long time about the "kick-off" workout but I wasn't really sure about it so I just said I would maybe do it another day. I kept getting texts and calls incessantly about booking EVERY DAY (while I was at work or busy). They stopped after a few weeks but when I went to cancel my membership (due to moving), not only was the staff VERY passive aggressive (I never complain about staff but it was very uncomfortable), but they charged me $92 to end my membership. This was not advertised AT ALL when I signed up and it seems very scammy to me. It would be one thing to charge me for another month but the fees are insane. People should be able to try out a gym without paying nearly $100. Also the staff in general seemed cliquey and i felt like I was always intruding on something by just being there.

3.5 out of 5. This…read morewould be 5 stars EXCEPT that it is so difficult to find available classes! Ultimately the people buying the unlimited pass get priority. If you buy the 8 pack of classes, you are only getting to schedule your classes as of the 25th of each month and they are only good until the next billing cycle. BUT the unlimited people can book classes up to 2 or 3 months in advance even if they cancel. So right now on February 24, I know that I can pick my classes tomorrow morning. When I look at the schedule though, the next week is almost entirely booked up already and there are very few class times available 2 weeks out! It is EXTREMELY frustrating and I regularly ask myself if it's worth the aggravation or if it's time to cancel my membership. It is not an inexpensive way to exercise and a regular mat pilates class is better at building strength. There are some very good instructors and there are some instructors that are "phoning it in". I stopped taking one instructor's classes because she would get us started on warm ups and then go chat with the person at the front desk, forgetting how long she was away from us. You often warm up one side and then the other. So we might be working on the left leg for 2 minutes and getting sore because she forgot us and then our right leg for about 30 seconds after she finished her conversation. We would end up warming up for 15+ minutes of a 50 minute class. Once you add in 10 minutes of cool down at the end, we weren't getting a good workout. If you want a GOOD workout , there are certain instructors to choose but I'm not naming them or I'll never get in a class! But otherwise I get a much better core workout by doing regular mat pilates.

Took a free intro class. 30 minutes. Great introduction to Pilates and the studio. It was fun and I…read morelearned about. No sales pressure. Friendly instructor. Located by Marcos Pizza.

The Gym: Drop in fee was $15 per class/$25 including t-shirt, standard across the CF drop in board. The facility was clean, had spaces for bags and keys, and offered two spotless bathrooms each for men and women. They're currently expanding, so there was some minor construction, but that's a good thing. You want to visit a box that has the membership to expand. There's a length of turf, a cage set up/racks central in the front, and rings hanging at regular intervals. More room in the long section, but didn't get a chance to nose around. Oly plates were stacked with bumper plates, a variety of KB's, and a number of rowers. It's a well stocked gym.Plenty of bands, plenty of PVC's, lax balls, and foam rollers to stretch out before and afterwards. The WOD: Shorter warm up than I'm used to, but to be honest I prefer shorter warm ups. Plenty of time allotted to complete each section of the workout. Plenty of time left afterwards to cool down and stretch out. Not in a "this class was run too quickly," but more in a "this class was run correctly, and wasn't trying to get you out early." The Coaches: I met a few, I don't know if they all planned to wear the same color shirt that day, but I'm pretty sure they all were. Hey, I like it. It helps identify them. They were welcoming, and friendly, professional and able to correct you when you made mistakes with movements (as I did). In fact, even the coaches that weren't running the class were helping individuals, which was great to see. The Members: I was welcomed right as I walked in, met with friendly faces throughout the WOD, and even took a few suggestions for dinner. TL;DR Great set up, clean bathrooms, welcoming members, knowledgeable staff
