Debra & Andreas are Caring, Compassionate, Empathetic and most of all True Professionals in the industry! I have hired a number of personal trainers in the Danbury CT area over the last 15 years and my experiences have been from disgusted to helpful and good. Some trainers have put me on machines, count reps, while looking at their phone, and telling me to run on a cardio machine for 10 minutes to "warm up" amidst my paid session!....This is not acceptable when I am paying around $60/hr! Other trainers are more engaged, and had me use free weights which are a lot better than machines to burn calories. However, a few of these trainers pushed heavy weights on me which I DID NOT feel comfortable lifting at the risk of getting hurt! I have had a couple good trainers that got me in better cardio condition but I sadly never seemed to lose weight because they didn't talk to to me about my nutrition. I had a 45 minute in depth consultation with the coaches at TFW and then they evaluated by body composition with this fancy machine that even let me know my water weight. Then they explained everything and let me know what I need to improve on, how they can help through both training and especially nutrition and would re-evaluate me monthly to make sure my numbers are going in the right direction and I am happy with my results! I have been coming to TFW 4 days a week for the last 6-1/2 months and I have a training package(without contracts) that has me doing a 1on1 session with the owner Andreas & 3 1-hour group classes with his associate Debra. They both push me & motivate me safely to my potential and I always feel like I got a great workout feeling good and wasn't crushed above my means. The other clients in the groups are really nice, supportive people that I have gotten to know personally and can call them my friends. A great friendly environment where I feel like part of a family. I've tried a number of gyms and personal training places in the area. The gyms I went to took my credit card, signed me under contract and never provided me my free training session that I was promised with my membership. I tried a few personal training places as well and they weren't willing to take me on because I'm over the age of 65 overweight and have some injuries, although I have a doctor's note that medically clears me to do light strength training and cardiovascular work with a personal trainer. The reality is I was looking to get stronger and more fit and feel better into my late 60s. I heard TFW Connecticut works with seniors and people with special conditions so I set up a consultation. Upon meeting Deborah and Andreas I was greeted with a smile and felt immediately that they truly wanted to help me. They gave me one free hour personal training session so they could evaluate thoroughly my level of fitness, mobility and physical limitations and safely prepping me for exercises I would be doing if I signed up. Not only did they address the problems I'm having with my shoulder and lower back but I feel better after my first session with them. This is my second month of 1 hour one-on-one personal training with these two amazing coaches and I have to say I'm already feeling more fit, stronger, flexible and overall better! I will be continuing at twice a week for another month and then move to three times a week to increase my fitness level even more! I also appreciate unlike every other place I checked out and tried that they do not require contracts of any sort. They just told me straight that they are looking to get me the best results and if for some reason I wasn't happy, they wouldn't want to take my money which I really appreciated. Andreas, a true professional, & his team of awesome coaches at TFW Connecticut not only sets goals for you to reach, but he forms an understanding of who you are and what you want to accomplish, so you can establish a personal regiment to to truly raise your own standards as an individual!! Andreas has even taught me how to walk again over a ten class session in which I was able to avoid physical therapy entirely! After suffering from a broken ankle a few years ago, I never thought I would never be in top form again. He was patient, yet persistent with my workout regime. Andreas & Debra the coaches @ TFW Connecticut have really changed my outlook on working out. I now have a very positive feeling towards it and I look forward to going. I have been training at TFW in Bethel for six months now. Andreas is my trainier and I have also worked with Debra a number of times. I have two one-on-one sessions per week. I didn't know exactly what to expect, but my experience at TFW - and the results - have surpassed my expectations. Andreas knows his business inside-out. He is passionate, focused and patient in helping you achieve your goals. His attention to detail is impressive - and makes all the difference in the workouts. I am 61 years old and am doing things that I didn't think possible for me when I started. One facet of my day job is to evaluate teachers. TFW Connecticut is a great place to come and jump start a new chapter of your life. Very easy to join; you will be called multiple times once you demonstrate an interest :) Be prepared to come three times a week at the minimum if you are joining the group training program. Do not worry about training with others; they will help you along and the environment is not intimidating at all. Class sizes can be as small as 2 people but I have never been in a class with more than 6 people. Deb is a great help and no matter what the task or how many people are there, she will always be on top of your form. She also has a great memory when it comes to your trouble areas (I have weak knees). This is not a gym where you run on a treadmill for 30 minutes, this is your new training lifestyle. read more
