Well first of all [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wasn't discharged from my appointment till 7:30pm and the pharmacy closes at 8pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not a big deal except when the pharmacy opens back up at 9am and they say there is an issue with the way the script was written by the doctor. So [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've called TGH Urgent Care 3 times and CVS 3 more times as well and still at 1pm have not been able to get this script corrected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] TGH Urgent Care isn't correcting their error and now I've been almost a full day without my needed medication and no one is doing anything to fix it. It shouldn't be this hard for a doctor to correct a script they just wrote. This is unacceptable read more

I went here reluctantly because I don't have good past experiences with urgent/er situations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made a notification appt on their website that I was on my way, I like others thought it was an appt, but it's actually just a heads up so they know what is incoming & when.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were a few people waiting in the lobby, I checked in with the front desk guy, I asked how long the wait would be and he said there were 8 people ahead of me. I was a little alarmed because my bp was bouncing between 170-180/100's, not safe. So I waited a few minutes and gathered my thoughts and turned and explained to the man, I get their are other people here but my bp is too high to just sit around and wait. So I was quickly brought back and asked what was up and had my bp taken by a very nice and caring man. He agreed it was way too hi to sit around. Then the NP, Regina came in. She said it was too high and she wanted me to go to the er to get the proper care. She wrote out a script and said this would move me to the front if they were busy. She reassured me it was the best solution she had for me. I was grateful I was in and out of there in 10 minutes because their triage system worked and I advocated for myself calmly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Later that evening, around 7 after I returned home from the er and was resting I received a call that said "healthcare." Thinking it was the hospital, I answered and it was NP Regina calling to ck up on me. She said she was worried about me and wanted to make sure I received propert care at the er.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told her what they did and she she was relieved. We wished each other a Happy New Year, and I went back to sleep. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the first time ever that I felt cared for in a scary er/urgent care sitch. Came in with my husband as he is sick and has asthma so he was having severe breathing troubles / chest pain. Took over an hour and then some to be called back. Never had an urgent care that doesn't immediately see someone with chest pain / breathing troubles to give them a breathing treatment at least and then have them wait for the doctor. Literally will never come back to this urgent care again - would give it 0 stars if I could read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The one star only refers to the young lady at the front desk and the tech who took my vitals etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am a healthcare worker who worked on the front lines during Covid 19 on the Covid units. I have a high risk of catching Covid and in the past year was infected one other time, came to this urgent care and recieved paxlovid. I was better in 3 days. However this time I had a new NP called Kayla Long. She was asked me if I had Covid and didn't bother to test me. She listened to my lungs and looked in my ears and throat and told me "go home and take Tylenol" I told her my history and that I had to go on heart medication following my first dx of Covid in 2020 and she looked at me blankly. I told her I had been a smoker for over 20 years and she gave me the same blank stare. Both of the above qualify me for paxlovid. She said "SHE reserves the rights for paxlovid as she feels fit" and she kept saying over and over "it's up to the provider" very strange ego trip. She looks to be no more than 25 and probably hid in her house during the pandemic. I am disappointed I was unable to be treated and will go to another "provider" tomorrow. It is saddens me that all we went through as health care providers and when we need help I get a smug NP who refuses to help me when I need it. If this is your NP when you arrive at this urgent care. Update after my 4 hour visit last week. My urine test as well as one of the blood tests either weren't sent in or were messed up, my results never came in. I ended up having to go to a Labcorp yesterday to get those two done. An absolute disaster is what this place is. read more

Scheduling visit was very easy. There was going to be a two-hour wait but the super friendly receptionist at the desk said I could go home and they'd call me when they were ready for me. Fortunately, I live close by! I don't know if they do that for everyone. The nurse practitioner, Lippincott, was very professional, helpful, and took great care of me. This time, 2 hr wait, one doc on staff, cannot use ANY restroom in the building during your 2 hr wait due to water leakage but you'd better be back within 4 mins if they text you or you lose your place in line!! Then, ooops wait, no.....all 12 of you have to leave the building immediately, we can't serve you due to the water leak. Went to this location last week due to strep symptoms. I had been treated there at the beginning of the month for strep as well. As others have noted, the appointment system doesn't seem to serve any purpose. The first time I came here my wait was nearly two hours and this time it was about one hour. Both times the system appeared to be first come, first serve. The reservation system should be removed if it's not going to be honored at all, as I assume many people use available appointment times as a selection factor when choosing an urgent care. After waiting about an hour, I was swabbed for strep before they realized they didn't actually have the solution needed to run the test. They told me the only option was a culture that would take an estimated 5 days to get back from the lab. They also said that they thought it was viral and wasn't strep because it was so soon since I had finished an antibiotic course for strep. Ultimately, I found out I did have strep a few days later after having to go to the ER when my condition continued to worsen due to complications. While everyone makes mistakes, I can't see myself returning to this urgent care given the above issues. read more

Rude, rude, rude. no eye contact, I was suppose to lay on a mattress top with no sheet or pad, and the mattress had some sticky looking stain on it. slamming the cabinets after setting up for drainage, slamming the door. the practitioner stood there and watched me undress. instead of giving me privacy just standing there inpatient, it was embarrassing to say the least. TGH Urgent Care on Lumsden, is the very best Urgent Care experience I've had -- and with 3 athletic kids I've had plenty of experiences to compare. I was prepared to spend a few hours there. Instead, I was in and out. I was able to schedule an appointment online - very easy - then when I arrived Tara L checked me in, answered questions, and gave me highlighted forms to complete. I had a whopping 2 min. wait and was promptly called back for my appointment. Alexis Adams was my PA - C and she examined me, prescribed medicine and indicated I would be able to pick it up on my way out. Taylor K checked me out, with my bag of prescriptions. If we need to go to urgent care again, I will drive over to this one because of my great experience. P.S. I also parked right outside the front door. Added bonus. read more

There is no way to actually call this location directly. My daughter had an X-ray done and was sent home without a radiologist confirming if there was a break. I was told we would get a call back. After 24 hours, I decided to call. The phone line listed is the same for ALL locations and ALL inquiries. I waited the first time for 46 mins before hanging up and 27 mins the second time before hanging up. There is no reason for me to have to chase down whether or not my daughter has a broken finger for $235. Do better. Also, the wait time was about 3 hours. Go elsewhere if possible. read more

My husband and I came in December 31 at 6:30 pm. He had a minor cough for a couple months but in the past few days it had gotten significantly worse. He would wake feeling heaviness in his lungs. So we came here to get him checked out. He had some heart issues in the past and takes lisinopril and amiodorone. The nurse practitioner came in with his paper in her hand laughing and said "oh you're on lisinopril. You have "ACE" cough." As if you can't get any other illness while taking lisinopril. She had already decided that was the diagnosis without even checking him out. She did not even look in his throat or anything. Her name was Katina. The past 2 days he has had trouble breathing and has been using an inhaler to get through the day. Today, he can barely talk. This is not "ACE" cough. I work at a doctors office and this is unacceptable treatment. read more

I had no issues here! Scheduled a COVID test the night before and was in and out in 40 minutes. Since I'm 6 months pregnant I'm always super on edge anytime I get a weird symptom after being in crowded areas. The front desk receptionist made everything very clear regarding billing. I always call my insurance company before heading into any medical facility to ensure I'm covered. They do take a card on file just in case any mishaps with your insurance, but that makes sense to me. Make sure your insurance is fine and you'll be fine - if not make sure you ask about out of pocket fees. The doctor visited me very quickly after vitals, he explained the options between the rapid test of 48 hr one, and allowed me to choose. Very easy morning. Be sure to schedule an appointment online ahead, as I was leaving there was a lobby full of people. Glad I beat the herd! read more

This isn't really geared towards the staff at this facility, because they were great. Me, my husband, and our daughter all went to get tested for Covid after being exposed. I thought all Covid testing was free, but for some reason they deducted $250 out of our bank account about a month later for my husbands test. Not sure why because we all went at the same time with the same insurance. When I called about it, they showed an old insurance provider for my husband and said that his wasn't covered. No kidding...we no longer have that insurance, but isn't Covid testing free? After several calls, I was told that I had to provide proof that we no longer had that insurance (even though it was denied when they first ran it). They also said I have to call them back to process the reimbursement after they verify it. They would not automatically reimburse us until I called them again! This is such a scam to make patients run around for months trying to be reimbursed for money that should have never been deducted in the first place. I could tell by the last call I made that they had no intention of giving us our money back, which is sad due to all of the hardship everyone is experiencing during this pandemic. I do not recommend this place simply due to their billing department. read more

I would NEVER recommend going to this location or place of business ever again if you are sick or if you need any testing especially testing!!!! They will LOOSE your test. My mother and I were looking to getaway due to stressful times. The front desk staff was very annoyed and because we were asking a bunch of questions in regards to the cost of the Covid Test and payments. We weren't sure how it would work out so we did wait in the lobby for some time before getting tested because we wanted to speak to our insurance company first. Not sure if this upset them because it seem like they intentionally lost our test WHICH is against the ARBITRARY AND CAPRICIOUS ACT************** In which a legal action can be placed! When we were seen especially by the doctor she made a horrible comment about us traveling on Friday the 13th which honestly made me uncomfortable. Why would she think so negative about us flying out on that date or why would she even make a negative comment about us flying. The comment was really unnecessary and really made my mother and I uncomfortable. Days later I still haven't rcvd my results so I called labcorp because I was flying out that same day and they did confirm that they did not receive any test they did advise that they would show if it was at least received and pending. At that time I was immediately upset I did call the Brandon office where I had to wait over an hour for someone to put me on hold again... Mind you I'm flying out the same day and the person tells me she needs to call me back and figure out things. I receive a call back from Stacy at Brandon it was a lengthy phone call. I can tell she was dancing around Saying what truly happened... so I just flat out asked do you know where my test is?? Is it at urgent care or is it at lab court?? She did confirm my test was LOST!! They were unable to locate our test. Skip to the next part I ended up speaking to a manager who told me that I can go to into today to get a Rapid test... I did inform her that the state I was traveling to did not accept a rapid test. Luckily I was aware of this info because if I was not I would have taken the rapid test and probably would have been denied or have to quarantinefor for 14 days due to incorrect testing. I work and have family I take care of ..so 14 days was not an option. My trip my hotel, my car rental and everything that I had planned was canceled. This was not easy to do. Lastly, 3 days after my flight; My mother gets a phone call stating they found our test and stated we would be getting the results in 3 to 5 days. I was furious when I heard this and I called TGH urgent care immediately ; I don't understand why now they wanna send in my test when I told them my trip was on Saturday. Are they looking just to get paid for a test that they didn't even do correctly and they ended up losing and magically ended up finding days after my trip..NO apologies were giving, no empathy was given; I am livid. I wouldn't go here if this was the last urgent care on Earth. People do not spend your money here do not waste your time here - do not even waste your insurance money on this business. This was Literally one of the worst experiences in my entire life. P.S I called them back to them know not to process the lost test that they magically found; I spoke to someone in another location. I gave her a brief statement of what happen and She was convinced that they never told me the test was lost. In fact she even told me that with all the notes on my account it doesn't even say anything about a lost test..which is crazy because if the corporate office pulls that phone call with Stacy, they will clearly hear her say yes we lost the test. Why didnt they put any of those notes on there?? But they did tell me they LOST OUR TEST and then 3 days later they magically find it. Where was this test???? Where was it hiding ???? How did they misplace ??? Where was it sitting out at??? Was it contaminated??? Is that test even valid after days of sitting in a unsafe place? So they're gonna send me results and charge me and they don't know where its been sitting or even if its CONTAMINATED do to the UNKNOWN whereabouts...doesnt make sense to me at all!!! read more

I went after being in a car crash and having no one interested in dealing with an auto related incident. I waited maybe 20 minutes, staff from the front desk to the NP Liz, who was great and the tech. Had me checked out, x rayed, and out in not only efficient but a compassionate manor. Never been to an UC before. They also followed up to see how I was doing. I have no complaints and would go again if needed. read more
