These places are starting to become hard to find because so many are closing. It was a place to go for after-work drinks years ago. I knew we were going to be in the area so for nostalgia reasons I wanted to hit up on TGIFridays. The app is not very user friendly by the way but it does have some pretty good offers if you decide to use it. Some of the past items are no longer on the menu that I enjoyed but it gives you a chance to try something new. Like many casual....from what I saw very casual dining places are revamping to stay alive. Service was pretty good. The music was definitely coming from someone's private collection of R&B. I went with the Friday's Table-Tizer and the apps are at times the best offering at some places. I decided this will be my meal and went with the mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, and loaded potato skins for the Table-Tizer but you do have the option to swap out various items. Basically, this was bar food, but it was good and filling and not the healthiest but still good. I was happy that the food came out all hot. Usually when it is a trio option one of the items will come out like it has been sitting for a minute. I can see myself coming back to this place when in the area. Sticky icky icky icky ... the floors that is! Walking to the bar area my shoes could have started a rap song with the noise the sticky floor was giving. We beat boxed with our walk to the bar and were greeted by a cool bartender. The bar was semi clean. There was only one bartender serving a group of happy bar patrons. She was nice! Out of everything on Friday's menu, this dish has become my absolute favorite and go-to. Despite the regular menu changes, this item has remained a staple for me. The portion size is perfect, and the fresh toppings are beautifully arranged on the plate. I always add the blackened salmon on top, and it's seasoned to perfection every time. Koursi was the bartender. She was friendly, attentive, and very professional. She knew the menu very well, including all current specials and options. I must add her skills were very noticeable. She controlled her bar, she worked at an amazing pace. Food came out fast and hot! Her mixology skills were top tier. We order the following drinks: Peach mojitos Legacy Paloma Tito's strawberry lemonade All of her drinks were delicious, and we felt them!! Perfect mixture!! I usually like Fridays. They have my absolute favorite dessert, the brownie obsession. But that couldn't even save this last visit. I came with my kids and it was a little late so I ordered their food with our drinks and specifically requested their food comes out asap. I ordered the "new" meatballs and my normal sizzling chicken and shrimp. Ordered chicken tenders and Mac and cheese for the kids. We waited forever just to get our drinks. Then they brought my meatballs out and they were the saddest excuse for meatballs. I took a bite and it was sooo hard(like it was microwaved to death). I told her I didn't want them and they tasted awful. She brought out my food... before my kids. So I'm not going to eat my food while my kids don't have there's so let's just say by the time they brought out my kids food, my food was definitely not "sizzling". Their food was fine. My food was again terrible, I was soooo tired I didn't even feel like talking to complain. The chicken was small and thin and the shrimp were literally baby shrimp. This has to be the worst Friday's that I've ever been to. I walked in and noticed that the restaurant was very empty and they've been open for over an hour. That was already a little weird, but whatever. As I walked in the young woman being the bar was telling to her workers and didn't acknowledge me, but that's fine, she was engaged in conversation. I day at the bar, read the menu and waited for service. After about 5 minutes, I thought that she would at least greet me, but she hadn't. Maybe she was giving me time to read the menu. Our food was fine - the service passable - we sat in the for two reasons: 1) happy hour, 2) adults. We were enjoying a quiet meal and drinks until a couple came in with their 3-yr old/4-yr old??? and sat right next to us - IN THE BAR! The restaurant was NOT crowded - why would you allow children in the bar? To make matters worse, the bartender must have gotten side tracked because we could not get her attention to get our check, pay, and leave. The quality of Fridays has significantly declined over the years. Growing up as a kid my mom would always take us there because you couldn't beat the quality, price or service. However each time I go to Fridays as an adult I'm less inclined to return and this visit as s no exception. We sat at the bar area which was not very crowded, however, empty cups, plates and trash stayed on the bar countertop for quite some time. We decided to get a high top table on the side of the bar. We sat there for ten minutes before I decided to get up to speak to someone from the bar. Eventually someone came over after another eight minutes and we ordered wings, three drinks, three brown sugar shooters and three waters with lemon. We never got the water, the shooters came out as we received the check and the drinks tasted like juice. To be fair, when the regular people who work the bar are present the service is better but at this point I'm kinda through with Fridays. It was so bad, we asked for the check after we got the wings and ended up going elsewhere when the plan was to stay there for entrees as well. Also, I mentioned we were in the bar area because we wanted a bar vibe. The bartenders were so focused on talking to each other, no one noticed that all the TVs were on a channel referencing the current administrations attempt to ban gas stoves. Staff ignored our table for nearly an hour; each server and bar staff member seemed as if they could care less that we were customers. Bored, hungry and nothing to do so me and Hubby headed to Friday's for a late dinner. Not too crowded. Sat at a table in the bar area for quick seating. We knew we wanted wings. The waiter took our drink orders but we had to call him back to get our food order. I won't hold it against him. It is a Sunday night and we are off because there is no work tomorrow. Yeah us! We ordered drinks to pass the time-Long Island for me and a Sam Adam's for him. Ba-be! That Long Island was nice and strong. My Husband is the designated driver tonight. The two stars are for the waitress. But everything else about this place was pretty bad. We stopped in for a quick bite on a Sunday afternoon after running errands. But I was very disappointed to see that TGIF management wasn't enforcing masks for their employees. It's extremely irresponsible to have waiting staff surrounded by guests all day every day and not take this extra precaution. Bartenders, waitresses all not in masks. Management was also not wearing a mask. I should have known then that they cared very little for their employees. But then I saw that our waitress was the only waitress handling the bar area. They ran her to death. She couldn't be all she could to the entire room but we were understanding. The drinks were awful so awful that I didn't even take pics. They were out of some liquor which made my first drink choice unavailable. My husband first drink was wrong the bartender made something else. My dink had too much mixer, gave me a stomach ache. We had chips and artichoke dip as an appetizer. For dinner i had some sliders with a side salad. The sliders and fries were fine but that salad was awful. it looked like they pulled apart iceberg lettuce in huge chunks and just threw it in a bowl. My husband had the chicken burger he said it was ok. This looks like it might be a kickback spot because it became a bit more crowded and loud with intoxicated patrons also another reason I couldn't enjoy my meal. I'm all for a good time but some of these patrons were out of control literally yelling across the establishment. If it's like this on a Sunday evening I'd hate to see it on Friday or Saturday. This is my second time coming to this Friday's this year and both times have been mediocre at best. The first time I came, I didn't receive my appetizer that I ordered which was probably due to the bartender working the floor as well. We can probably chalk that up to them being short staffed, though. I believe if the waiters/waitresses wrote the orders down, items wouldn't be left out or forgotten. The bar had had (2) couples, and one guest who also complained about how long it took to receive drinks. There were no table touches, two bite check backs during our entire meal. Not to mention, the bar back went out of his way to ignore us, not even asking if we cared for another drink. We ordered a "Friday Dinner Deal" and the bar team didn't even bother bringing us our dessert. You had a total of four two tops, at best and seven guests at the bar MAX. No pre-bussing, or attempt to upsell. I'm guessing we had to know the service staff to get timely service! I've had better service at Port Tobacco- with one server and over ten tables.
