After three attempts to have a decent experience at Prime Street Grill in White Plains, MD, I can say with full confidence: do not waste your time or money here. Visit #1: Our bill was mixed up with another table. A basic, embarrassing mistake that set the tone for what was to come. Visit #2: We couldn't even get a table. No explanation, no apology -- just turned away. Visit #3 -- the final straw: My husband called ahead and made a reservation. When we arrived, the hostess flat-out denied ever receiving it, then casually assumed we'd "be there in a few minutes" -- as if she knew exactly who we were and what had happened. That's not a system glitch, that's negligence. What made it so much worse? Not a single apology. Instead, we were met with outright rudeness from the staff. And the food? Horrible. Not "disappointing" -- genuinely bad. To top it off, the restaurant has a noticeable unpleasant odor that made it impossible to enjoy even being inside. This place has had every opportunity to make things right and has failed spectacularly each time. The staff is rude, disorganized, and completely indifferent to customer experience. Save your evening and go literally anywhere else.

The venue is quaint with plenty of seating. The servers were informative and helpful. Portion sizes are hearty. I had tge seafood platter and the imperial rockfish. The platter was mostly cod, with 2 shrimp, 3 oysters, a crab ball and hush puppies. The crab ball and cider were a touch over cooked but well enough to try again. The rockfish was tender and generously topped with crab imperial. The flavor of the dish was very mild with a slight mustard taste as the dominant note of the imperial sauce. Regarding sides, hush puppies are good with a slight sweetness. The broccolini is well seasoned with garlic and salt. The brussel sprouts are chopped with bits of bacon and onions.

My family treated me to dinner here for Mother's Day this year. The restaurant has a fine dining vibe. We all ordered off the special Mother's Day and each of us ordered steak. We all had different sides, I ordered Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The food was amazing and we're huge portions, the cocktail I had was not great, but my waitress tried to help make it better. I will definitely be back to try the lamb chops.

Pretty decent every time we come. Definitely one of the best spots in the area. I'm just not a big fan of the interior--the carpet is dark and sketchy. The bread is super fresh--crispy exterior, nice garlicky flavor. The crab dip isn't bad. Sea bass was cooked well, a bit on the greasy side but the flavor is really good. The sweet potato fries were good but soggy. Asparagus was cooked and flavored really well. Service was amazing (thank you Sophie!!) -- we brought our toddler and she anticipated everything we needed. I'm not a steak eater but he said this is a good place to get a nice steak without having to go into DC or Alexandria.

The food here was hittin. I had the lamb chops as per the suggestion from my dining companion. It did not disappoint. She also recommended the Mac n cheese as my side. Looks can be deceiving. When I was it I was thinking no way this is good. To my surprise it was BEYOND DELICIOUS!!! The crab cake was filled with crab, it didn't have any filling really. The chocolate cake as a dessert was chefs kiss. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer. That was great as well. And the buffalo shrimp. Everything was amazing. The service was great. Food came out very quickly. Ambiance was great. As we came in we did see some ppl get turned around because they didn't have a reservation. Looks like that is mandatory. It's a little bit out the way but if you're in the area I'd totally come back here. It's definitely worth the trip. I will be going back here for sure!!!

Hidden gem! I've heard buzz about this restaurant, but finally visited. I was not disappointed and the reviews did not lie. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was both cozy and festive as they had their Christmas decor up. It was beautifully decorated. I was sat in the front dining area. I saw the bar area that looked pretty decent on my way to the restrooms (very small and tight and the soap was not working well). The waiter (MJ, I believe) was very attentive and accommodating while also being knowledgeable about the menu items. We settled on the 22oz steak and I ordered the lemon drop martini and lamb chops. Everything was seasoned to perfection. This restaurant is great for so is occasions or family dinners but is on the pricier side- well worth it. I'll be back!

Returned here for my birthday dinner. Good customer service & steak was cooked perfectly *should've requested to hold the butter on the Broccolini though*.

The food was disappointing. The customer service afterward was worse. I tried Prime Street Grille because it was recommended to me, and unfortunately, I left disappointed. I was specifically looking forward to the chargrilled oysters I had heard about. The oyster I received wasn't good, and the service didn't make the experience any better. When my waitress asked if I wanted to order something else, the restaurant was preparing to close, and the interaction made me feel like she was more interested in getting out than making sure I had a good experience. I posted about it on Facebook. My post was basically: Who told me Prime Street Grille had chargrilled oysters?! I explained that the oyster wasn't good and that I wasn't impressed with the service. That's it. I wasn't expecting the restaurant to agree with me. I wasn't trying to hurt anyone's business. I was simply sharing my experience. Unfortunately, the server who waited on me saw the post and decided to engage with me publicly. What could have been a simple difference of opinion turned into an unnecessary back-and-forth. Other people were eventually pulled into the conversation as well. This is the part that really bothered me. Customers are allowed to have opinions. If I spend my money at a restaurant and don't enjoy my experience, I'm allowed to say so. An employee doesn't have to agree with me, but I expect professionalism and respect. If an employee feels that a customer's review is unfair, there are professional ways to address it. Engaging in a public argument with the customer--and allowing the situation to turn into a pile-on--is not one of them. I've documented the interaction and contacted management directly. I would have simply chalked this up to "the restaurant wasn't for me" and moved on. Unfortunately, the way my honest feedback was handled afterward made the experience much worse. Food and service can be subjective. Respect and professionalism shouldn't be.

I went out with two of my cousins for a belated birthday dinner. They've both been to this restaurant before, and it was the birthday girl's pick. This was my first visit, and I've been wowed. I'll go on record right now: this was the best restaurant crab dip I've ever had. It was the perfect amount of lump crab, just yummy goodness overload. That bread *chefs kiss* I could've made an entire meal out of that dip and been just as happy as a kid in the candy store lol. I ordered the fried seafood platter and swapped out the fries for a baked potato. Everything on the plate was delicious: the coleslaw, hush puppies, crab ball, oysters, fish, and shrimp. Both of my cousins ordered the surf and turf since they'd had it before and clearly loved it. After seeing them devour theirs, I know what I'm ordering next time. Overall, I had an amazing time. Our waitress, Sophie, was attentive and extremely personable.

Amazing taste and portions excellent atmosphere . It's rare for me to find a good quality sea food restaurant. The sea food platter was over whelming . The crab Rock fish ,delicious, real crab

Food was lukewarm. My steak had no steam coming out. My broccolini was overcooked. We have waited over an hour until the waiter took our orders. When we booked our reservation, they told us the maximum amount of people for the table is 10. Granted the waiter was working her tail off with no other staff members helping her. It's really unfortunate to see and experience this. We used to come to this establishment pretty often over the past 10+ years. Maybe they changed management?? Don't know. What I do know is that I will never, and I mean NEVER come back again.

Excellent salmon and steak. The lamb chop and crab balls are exquisite. Our server, Ashley, made our dining experience wonderful. Thank you

Lived in the area for about 4 years and never tried Prime Street. I heard great things about them so for my husbands promotion celebratory dinner we decided to treat ourselves. Wowwww the lamb chops were probably the best lamb chops I've ever had. Seasoned and cooked to perfection! My dad and mom ordered the crab cake special they had it was like 8oz of LUMP crab meat. It was soooo chunky and lumpy and delicious! I definitely have to come back!

Waiting for our food, we heard the booth behind us yell and ask for a manager. When we looked around to see the source of commotion, the gentleman behind us pointed out there was a cockroach on the wooden partition beside our table. We moved away from the wall and partition until the manager came. By the time he got there it was by our table, the manager asked me to move so he could see and kill it. He then proceeded to go to the table that pointed out the roach and apologized profusely. He comped their meals, offered dessert, and even two double shots of Jack Daniels...and then walked off. I didn't really care about the comps, but a quick, "hey, sorry that happened" would have been nice to our table, since I had to move to let him observe and kill the roach. We finished up sitting away from the wall area in case the roaches friends wanted to come out and play too. Hopefully it's not a more widespread issue.
