The food here was hittin. I had the lamb chops as per the suggestion from my dining companion. It did not disappoint. She also recommended the Mac n cheese as my side. Looks can be deceiving. When I was it I was thinking no way this is good. To my surprise it was BEYOND DELICIOUS!!! The crab cake was filled with crab, it didn't have any filling really. The chocolate cake as a dessert was chefs kiss. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer. That was great as well. And the buffalo shrimp. Everything was amazing. The service was great. Hidden gem! I've heard buzz about this restaurant, but finally visited. I was not disappointed and the reviews did not lie. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was both cozy and festive as they had their Christmas decor up. It was beautifully decorated. I was sat in the front dining area. I saw the bar area that looked pretty decent on my way to the restrooms (very small and tight and the soap was not working well). The waiter (MJ, I believe) was very attentive and accommodating while also being knowledgeable about the menu items. We settled on the 22oz steak and I ordered the lemon drop martini and lamb chops. The food was disappointing. The customer service afterward was worse. I tried Prime Street Grille because it was recommended to me, and unfortunately, I left disappointed. I was specifically looking forward to the chargrilled oysters I had heard about. The oyster I received wasn't good, and the service didn't make the experience any better. When my waitress asked if I wanted to order something else, the restaurant was preparing to close, and the interaction made me feel like she was more interested in getting out than making sure I had a good experience. I posted about it on Facebook. My post was basically: Who told me Prime Street Grille had chargrilled oysters?! I explained that the oyster wasn't good and that I wasn't impressed with the service. That's it. I wasn't expecting the restaurant to agree with me. I wasn't trying to hurt anyone's business. I was simply sharing my experience. Unfortunately, the server who waited on me saw the post and decided to engage with me publicly. What could have been a simple difference of opinion turned into an unnecessary back-and-forth. Other people were eventually pulled into the conversation as well. This is the part that really bothered me. Customers are allowed to have opinions. If I spend my money at a restaurant and don't enjoy my experience, I'm allowed to say so. An employee doesn't have to agree with me, but I expect professionalism and respect. If an employee feels that a customer's review is unfair, there are professional ways to address it. Engaging in a public argument with the customer--and allowing the situation to turn into a pile-on--is not one of them. I've documented the interaction and contacted management directly. I would have simply chalked this up to "the restaurant wasn't for me" and moved on. Unfortunately, the way my honest feedback was handled afterward made the experience much worse. I went out with two of my cousins for a belated birthday dinner. They've both been to this restaurant before, and it was the birthday girl's pick. This was my first visit, and I've been wowed. I'll go on record right now: this was the best restaurant crab dip I've ever had. It was the perfect amount of lump crab, just yummy goodness overload. That bread *chefs kiss* I could've made an entire meal out of that dip and been just as happy as a kid in the candy store lol. We hadn't gone here for several years so we decided to try it again. It was fairly early for dinner, about 5 PM and although there were about 20 empty tables, they told us that they were booked with reservations and may be able to get us in if we waited 15 minutes. We agreed and were seated in 15 minutes as promised. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We first ordered appetizers: calamari and crab- stuffed mushrooms for the table. The mushrooms were good. However, the calamari was rubbery and not at all tasty. We told our server, and he simply said he was sorry to hear that. Then came the salads, all of which were delicious. Of the four diners, one of us ordered the steak filet, one the fried seafood platter, and two the prime rib special recommended by the server. The best option was the filet, which my friend enjoyed. The seafood platter was large and relatively tasty, although pretty heavily battered and the crabcake was dry and flavorless. The meal came with french fries and coleslaw so when ordering, I asked if I could swap for different side items. The server replied that there would be a slight up charge for the swap. When we received the bill, I was charged $4.50 for each swap, so in addition to the $42 price for a seafood platter, I was charged $9 to select two different vegetables instead of coleslaw and french fries. I paid $51 for what I would say was the equivalent of a $29 meal at most. My dad and my husband got the recommended prime rib special. Both cuts were full of fat and gristle, barely edible. Again, we told the server that the prime rib was awful and inedible. He said he was sorry to hear that. He did not call a manager. He did not offer to replace it. My father was unable to eat his. My husband ate the center out of it, struggling to get it down, and left a plate full of fat and gristle. At this point, we were relatedly grossed out, disgruntled, and eager to just pay and leave. We asked for the bill and our over-assigned server was about 15 minutes in bringing it. As we patiently sat there, the hostess came over and told us that we had to be out in 20 minutes because our table was reserved at that time. Meanwhile, we hadn't even been in the restaurant an hour, we were waiting on their staff person, and there still remained at least 20 empty tables in the restaurant. After paying, I went up to the front desk and shared our dissatisfaction with our experience. The woman simply smiled oddly, and that was about it. No acceptance of responsibility. No apology. Nothing. Needless to say, this time it will be at least two decades before we ever even think of going back - unfortunate because aspects of the meal were good and the potential was there. However, execution, food quality, and management were poor. I do not recommend this restaurant, especially for the high prices for the low food quality. read more

In terms of texture/flavor? Not so much. Everything was disappointing. Brussel sprouts didn't have any char on them. Bacon was soft. Mac n cheese way overcooked. There was no bite to the noodles. Crab cake was slightly cold, soggy. Their signature sauce was basically mayo. I was hoping for some level of char. Not a bit. Even more unfortunate, when I did try out their chocolate cake, it was also disappointing. Just can't recommend going here for their extremely high prices. I expected more. Hosts then proceeded to seat two other groups who arrived after us. Two minority groups. We were then shown to a table that had been open the entire time we were waiting.
