I was visiting a bestie in the area. It was kind of late we found this place was opened and it actually had a good vibe played music DJ spawn probably 2000s hits the food was pretty good bar. Food bartenders were really nice and helpful. Service was great. The wings we got were amazing. Also got mozzarella sticks and some drink drinks. 5/5 I've lived in the area for over 10 years, but somehow had never made it to The Cut Bar... until now. I'm so glad we were invited! The bar was super easy to find and access, and we were lucky enough to snag seats right at the bar. As we settled in, the place started to fill up quickly, and the vibe stayed friendly and welcoming the whole night. We came for some pre-birthday drinks with friends, not really expecting much, but ended up having such a great time. The food came out fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The drinks? Strong (in the best way) and perfectly balanced. It's rare to find a spot that hits all the marks-good atmosphere, great food, strong drinks, and a friendly crowd--but The Cut Bar nailed it. I was here last night. The burger and fries delicious. I expected my bun to be dry, but it was fresh and hot off the grill. My food actually even came out pretty quickly. Margarita top-tier . Sparkle was my bartender. She was amazing greeted me with a smile and joked and laughed with me while maintaining her bar along with the other bartenders. They are a great team. Upon first glance, it looks like a hole in the wall and we (party of 5) nearly missed the door entrance. Inside, the front of the room is the bar area with a few small bar table seating while the back is more accommodating for larger parties. The waitress and staff were very nice and helpful with drink suggestions. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were my favorite part of the experience. Nice and crunchy on the outside but a hot and smooth melting string of cheese on the inside. I ordered the fried shrimp platter, which came with fries and coleslaw, and everything was delicious. I am highly disappointed in my experience on March 20, 2026. I was charged $22 for a lemon drop martini with tequila. The drink was only 4 ounces served in a plastic cup. This was robbery. I ordered food Saturday January 3, 2026. I ordered BBQ jerk turkey burger and wings with no sauce. I wanted a turkey burger b/c I didnt want a hamburger. When I got home, there was turkey bacon and hamburger on the bun with sauce on the side. This was misleading. Why state that its a turkey burger when it is not. There may be someone that is trying to cut back from eating red meat as a dietary restriction and the cook serves red meat anyway. This doesnt make any sense to me. I came here one night with my husband - we were bored and just wanted to find somewhere cool to hang out. This is both a hang out spot and a chill restaurant at once with some of the best old-school-jams playing in the background. If you wanna watch sports, they have it. It's chill - drinks and service are great and the crowd is grown - everything we were looking for. It feels like a night in - no pressure to dress up, music not too loud so you don't have to scream in each other's ears just to have a conversation and the food was good. This no frills dive bar and restaurant is one of my favorite late night spots in the Waldorf neighborhood. They make a great fish sandwich with French fries, fried shrimp basket, fish bites or hush puppies you can munch on while watching the game. The Taco Tuesday specials are usually pretty tasty and the music is always a good mix. I like that they stay open later than a lot of places in the area and some nights they do karaoke, too. 3.5 stars- I really like the food here. The wings, fries, fish bites, and beyond burger are all really good. You have to try their Mo-Mo sauce. The prices are great and the food is good quality. The place is nice and clean. The music is good not too loud and not too low. The crowd has always been decent and well behaved. The employees are one of the bright spots here. They are friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Before I even had their food, the young lady who greeted and seated us, had won me over. The drinks though... I have been unable to finish. Most people appreciate a healthy pour, me too but good grief It was so strong it was like drinking fire water. I thought I ordered a shot with a splash of lemon and not a margarita. I know this may be just specific to me, but I actually like my drinks to be well balanced. I don't want to have a single drink and still have to sit there with a Gingerale. 30 minutes after I finished because the first drink drink has me on my @)$$. Went atmospheres was cool, folks def grabbed the mic and sing to the tunes. Even both of the owners would come booping through delivering food, dancing with the broom to keep areas cleaned. Folks don't pick up stuff if they drop it. The manager was on point and appreciate that part of keeping thing tidy and tables cleaned. We ordered a few drinks. Any hair you have will be gone. I promise. So my few was 1 and a canned ginger ale. Not messing with it. Lightweight. Fries well I didn't know to get salt and pepper you have to order Mo Mo fries. So my fries were bland, sent them back because the fish nuggets and fries were cold. Now I don't want to say this but I think they dropped the same batch and put them back in my basket. My opinion. Opinions are like belly buttons. We ordered a second set afterwards with our friend apparently the word Mo Mo fries may have slipped in because they came out hot and seasoned to perfection. Folks danced a little bit. One guy a lot. Another guy was twisted which leads me to say while it is the CUT some people don't know their limit so you may have to have security, in these times security stands for police, on standby. I did try to stop by on Thursday eve. Online it said they were open but the door was locked. Plus I seen a post about Taco Tuesday, so in my head Thirsty Thursday. I went here 4th of July with wife and friends, as we walked in (around 4pm) we ask for a table to dine in and we are directed to a table. The waiter comes and lets us know they close at 5pm, to what we said okay we will make it quick. After all we only stopped there for food before heading to a local distillery. Quickly we place the order and after 30 minutes the food comes in bags, the gentleman indicated that we had to take the food "to go" because they had 4th of July family celebration. I've been here twice now, once for the seafood platter Friday a few weeks ago, and just tonight for a burger and wings to go. The food is so excellent, the staff is very courteous while you wait. The wings are huge and crispy, wings don't typically fill me up but I ended up with leftovers! Not many independent restaurants in Waldorf anymore, especially burgers, so I'm thrilled to be able to give this new business my money. Just one recommendation I'd make, the hand-cut fries could stand to be a bit saltier. But they were cooked perfectly. read more

The owners are the most down to earth people that truly make you feel at HOME while visiting! The bartenders are very attentive, Tiana and Tee is absolutely amazing they go above and beyond to make sure each guest is satisfied! The food is good, everything on the menu is great but I highly recommend the wings with the momo sauce and a little bitch of ranch! You won't regret it! I will forever support this black business! I was visiting a friend in Waldorf and we were looking for a Black Owned Business to support when someone suggested the Cut Bar and Restaurant. When I say it lives up to it's name... It's really hidden away in "the cut"! Located behind a bowling alley and a hotel and around the bend is where you will find The Cut Bar. We were there on a Wednesday so after driving around for an hour looking for restaurants with dine in seating, we ran across this place. They opened at 4pm so we arrived right around that time and was greeted by the cook in the parking lot. We went and sat at the bar and ordered drinks. There were happy hour specials and the bartender explained them all to us. I ordered fried shrimp that came with fries and hush puppies. My friend ordered the fish sandwich and I almost wished I would have gotten it. My shrimp were the typical flat frozen shrimp which I was not expecting, hush puppies were good, fries could have been crispier. My friend had no complaints on the fish sandwich lol. Everything came out in to go containers with packaged condiments and dinnerware which was fine. At some point one of the owners showed up with warm Krispy Kreme donuts for all the patrons and staff. Such a nice touch!!! Overall, it's a cool place, owners were very friendly, bartenders were very attentive and the music was great, social distancing was enforced. I ordered the fries fish , it whiting, and fries. The fish tasted like it was cooked in old grease and my fries were burnt and undercooked at the same time. Completely disappointed. My husband, on the other hand, had chicken and hush puppies. He said it was far from the best he's ever had but it was at least cooked well. The drinks were amazing. I ordered delivery from The Cut so I'm not able to speak to the quality of their drinks or atmosphere of the restaurant but I can speak to the food. The food wasn't amazing, but it's a bar... I ordered the food for myself and my father and at first we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the food even after delivery. He got the Turkey sandwich which he really enjoyed and said was pretty good. I ordered "The Cut Above Burger" which was just okay. I was expecting to be wowed with the price being $9 for just the burger itself, but it's a bar so... The best way I could describe it was a burger, when I bit into it I wasn't wowed but I wasn't disgusted either. It definitely was a "Cut above" most other burgers. Now let me tell y'all something. Their hush puppies were so good, in fact they were so good I can't even put into words how good they were. But the drawback to them is they're $6.50 and you only get 7-8 per order (and they're on the smaller side of hush puppies). I would absolutely get them again, but I feel like they should absolutely be cheaper then they are. But once again it's a Bar, everything's really expensive. If you're getting drinks and don't mind the high price or don't want to go else where it'll do. If you're just looking for food I'd probably look elsewhere. read more
