They scheduled an appointment about a week out. The morning of, we got texts from them confirming the appointment and name of technician. He arrived in the time window, saw what the issue was, confirmed what he planned to do, and the price given by V & L. He worked about an hour, even adding a shut-off valve for no additional cost. Once job was approved, we paid on the spot with a credit card, technician giving a hand written invoice and an email receipt from the company. They promptly followed up to see how the job went. It went perfectly. If we need plumbing again, we will surely call them. I just wish they'd left business cards behind in case someone we know needs a recommendation for a plumber.

Main drain clog, for starters the tech arrived after the scheduled timeframe due to other projects…read moretaking more time than expected, overall the tech was great, he had to remove the toilet to rod out the drain pipe because the ridding machine wouldn't fit through the crawl space access, he discovered the toilet flange was starting to deteriorate so he recommended sending a plumber to replace the flange. The tech took care of the clog and cleaned up after him self, final cost very expensive even after the coupons. The Plumber showed up a couple hours later (while everyone was sleeping) and replaced the flange and 90° fitting in the crawl space (very noisy) and reinstalled the toilet, the price he quoted was shocking, it seemed strange that he was able to negotiate the price down to $575 which was still very expensive. Overall complaint would be cost and the plumber left a bit of a mess, he left the toilet bolts long and didn't reinstall the bolt covers.

The second opportunity made me decide to check out other companies if I need future plumbing work. We needed an ejector pump replaced. The plumber just did not want to be there - or maybe do that job. Filth trailed the old pump out of the house (despite the offer of a garbage bag) and then he didn't set the trip level right. So, now I have a basement sink that has 2" of standing water until I flush the toilet or run the shower.

If they would have taken the time to talk to me (I have blue tooth) I could have given them directions and also told them that my husband was home to let them in. Instead, when I got home at 12:45 and called them back, they told me to rebook. They insisted that the time agreed on was 12 - 3. I have it written on the invoice and in my calendar as 1-3 and no, I did not misunderstand. I'm not impressed with this kind of cavalier "the client is always wrong" attitude. The fact that they couldn't find my house does not impress me either. GPS seems to work for everyone else.

Elderly neighbor lost her husband, and within a week or two she had a leak in her crawlspace. Since the crawlspace is shallow, he decided not to fix it himself, but called several plumbers for estimates. This one said they would reduce the price due to her circumstances. To save time, he told the dispatcher the service tech would need 1" or 1 1/4" well pipe with hose barbs. Well, the tech showed up without the correct parts and when he returned the next day, he charged her for the wasted trip that would not have been wasted if he had come with the correct parts. Husband called and spoke to owner and was basically told, "Too bad, so sad." These are not full service plumbers that are ready to tackle your plumbing problem even if you tell them exactly what it is before they get there, and will make extra trips and charge you for them. P.S. When I neighbor tried to pay my husband, he refused and when she insisted, he told her to give it to her church. That's neighborly service.
