What a surprise! Ethiopian restaurant close the hotel. Good feedbacks, so I decided to test because it was brand new for me and really not desappointed! Great food, good quality, quantity as well. I highly recommend! The waitress was really kind and gives good advices.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and I had such an amazing experience. I came here tonight with the Yelp International Supper Club, and there were a group of 8 of us to try this amazing, authentic cuisine. Looking on the menu, there were a bunch of different combination platters and we all opted to share a platter, one was chicken & vegetarian and one was a bit of everything. This was served on their traditional injera bread which is a flat spongy bread that not only the food is served upon, but you get some on the side to eat with the food; no utensils needed for this dish. The food itself was delicious and flavourful, and the best part was ripping off a piece of the injera bread and scooping up the food with it to eat it. I may have eaten a lot more of my share of this because of how delicious all the different foods tasted. They have a really great selection of vegetarian and vegan options as well. and chicken for those who aren't into red meat. The ambiance of the restaurant was relaxing, and the owners who were the ones who had served us where wonderful with explaining everything on the menu. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in the city and I will be coming back with my boyfriend for our next date night.

A diamond in the rough! Wow this place is amazing. From the service to the food, to the post-meal coffee, it was such a fun experience. We had a large group so we had 2 combination platters between us. I recommend this because you can try lots of different items and share with your friends (or people you just met, its a great way to get to know each other)! The platter I ate from had chicken, beef (both mild and spicy versions) plus a few different lentil stews and some made with veggies like cabbage. You eat it with a special bread and you eat with your hands! Each selection was absolutely full of flavour and really really good. Later, our waiter brought out a sizzling pan and inside was the coffee he was roasting for us. It smelled similar to popcorn. The coffee is served in tiny little cups and it is very very tasty. This is a great spot if you want to experience something new, eat REALLY tasty food, and enjoy an awesome environment. Just go!

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food! From their dinner menu, I got a mixed platter with beef sauteed with onions, chicken, and veggies for about $17. The serving size is huge so the price is worth it. There's enough for two people. The platter is served with a variety of stews/mashes/purees - veggies and beans with a hummus-like consistency. The plates are served with injera - a sourdough flatbread. The food was good - filled with a lot of spices to make the dish a hearty and savoury one. If this is your first time, I definitely recommend a mixed platter so that you are able to try different meats and veggies for a more wholesome experience. Service was super friendly and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, cozy, and lined with Ethiopian decor.

Entering TG's Addis Ababa you can tell the food will be authentic and homemade. It was decorated with traditional instruments, clothes, and paintings. My boyfriend and I visited on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted and seated quickly. The owners (I assume) brought over water for us as we were browsing the menu. We decided on the combination platter which includes a mix of meats and vegetables-- ordered 2 servings. If this is your first time trying Ethiopian food I would definitely recommend this platter! Everything was spiced and flavoured well; the spices did not over power the main ingredients. Our favourite was the chicken(in the middle) and the cabbage (top right beside the peas)! The best part about our experience is how you eat-- with your hands! The amount of food you get is a lot. You will probably have leftovers. Because it was our first time eating Ethiopian food the owner took his time explaining to us what we were about to eat. The owners were friendly, inviting, and attentive. We had a lovely time, would definitely revisit and bring more friends!

My first time having Ethiopian food and I'm hooked!! I honestly am not a curry fan but although Ethiopian food is all curry based, it's sooooo DELICIOUS!! Service here was amazing too! I definitely recommend this place and I for sure will be back!

After being stuck at the Blue Water Bridge for 2 hours, we decided to find a spot that would satisfy all the dietary needs of my family. I was impressed by the other reviews left by other Yelpers, so we decided to try it for ourselves. First let me say that I'm a stickler for good customer service. From the moment we set foot inside the great attention to detail and service began. Let's just start with the magical aroma of this place. We felt like we had been transported right to Ethiopia. We ordered our beverages. They roasted the coffee beans for my Aunt's coffee and brought them out for us to take a whiff. Aaaah, pure joy. We ordered a spicy beef platter for 3 and a vegetarian platter for 2. This is not fast food. It's real food. It came out fresh and we were provided with lots of injera. The owner anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. The chef came out to make sure we enjoyed the meal. I'm telling you, this place is a gem. If you're passing through London, you must make this a stop to anywhere you're headed. With my belly full of Ethiopian spice tea, we are on the road again... Thank you for an amazing dining experience!

Expensive and small portions, but the quality is high and the flavor combinations are complex,…read moreunique, and well done. A date night treat for sure (don't come hungry or your wallet will cry, but you will still have no regrets). Service was great. Our waiter Luke was very friendly and gave us several local recommendations since we are from out of town. Scallops: They taste like pizza! Fancy pizza :) You get three scallops and they are perfectly cooked. Smoky with mild heat, and mildly sweet. Biltong Pizza: Savory biltong, sweet/tangy/savory balsamic, and cheese. Simple and INCREDIBLE. We had I think three of their pizzas at an event and this one was definitely the best. You can definitely fold these pizzas as they are a little floppy, but not too greasy. Plant (with Boerewors): The ultimate combination of several flavors from different countries. It teetered on the brink of too much, but somehow managed to balance with utmost grace. I've never actually had jollof rice before, but it met my expectations for being a tomato-y and spicy rice (it felt a little undercooked to me, but that might just be the correct texture). The sweeter savory curry and helped curb the spicyness of the rice (only slightly). There was A LOT happening with this dish and I can't accurately describe the flavors, but it was good and you must try it. This dish doesn't need boerewors, but we wanted to try it. It was okay! A drier/crumbly and herby savory sausage (I'm personally more a fan of a sweeter and dense sausauge like kielbasa). Duck: We love duck because it's slightly gamey, very rich, and silky soft when cooked right. This dish succeeded yet again in combining just the right amount of sweet and savory, which always pairs well with duck and brussel sprout dishes. Malva Pudding: Very delicious but I would say get one for yourself instead of sharing it :) Wish there were more almonds and jam ratio for the cake, but it was all very nice and sweet (just above not too sweet). The almonds added an extra crunchy and sweet (toffee-like) texture. The jam added a slightly tangy and sweet flavor. Though I have to say, I love a decadently sweet dessert and while I would get this again, the toffee pudding at Scran & Dram in New Hamburg wins in the battle of all desserts ever for me :)

Sat in the bar area and enjoyed their (somewhat limited) menu. Everything was delicious, but it is…read morequite pricey (the $16 tomato salad was really just dressed tomatoes...). The service was excellent -- friendly, attentive, interested in ensuring everyone had a good experience.
