Green beans with shrimp and a ton of rice
    Cristine G.

They have some of the best tasting Thai food. I love their combination pad see ew. The soft and chewy flat noodles is the perfect medium for the robust flavors of the different meats: shrimp, beef, chicken, barbecue pork. The Satay chicken was yummy it came with cucumber salad and peanut sauce. Spring rolls were crunchy-licious and also came with cucumber salad. Even the egg roll (vegetarian) was good. The only gripe we had was the green beans with shrimp. We ordered without rice. It came with rice. A whole gang of rice packed in the container. There was not enough of the green beans. Which was a shame because we really enjoyed the nice kick it had. They cook as you order so everything was hot and fresh. The dining room was closed so we had take out. Parking was adequate.

#20 Spicy Chicken Curry with Bamboo Shoots
    S ..

I've been coming here with my family for over 15 years and ALWAYS order #20 extra spicy (Spicy Curry with Bamboo Shoots & Chicken). Best item on the menu - hands down. Seriously, order it. You won't regret it.

Left to right: combination fried rice, garlic chicken with noodles, chicken satay, pad se ew with chicken, and wonton soup.

I'm from Orange County and it's hard to find good Thai food around in the AV. The food was amazing and the service was great also. We got the fried rice, garlic chicken, wonton soup, chicken satay and pad se ew. Our new go to spot for authentic comfort food.

This is one of my favorite places for Thai noodle dishes in the AV, and the lady at the counter is always so nice.

Looks are not everything but the smell of the food the selection was really good. They fill up your plate. It is worth it for sure

At first everything looked okay, but within hours of eating here I became extremely sick and ended up dealing with what I believe was food poisoning for days. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had after eating at a restaurant. The food didn't taste fresh, was overly greasy, and the quality was nowhere near what I expected. After getting so sick, I will never eat here again. There are plenty of better Chinese restaurants in the area that are cleaner and actually care about the quality of their food. Save yourself the money and the risk--I'll never be coming back, and I definitely can't recommend this place based on my experience.

That was many years ago and we had not eaten there in years. Not sure about the negative reviews, but my wife and I decided to eat there. The service was excellent, and the Mu Shu was off the hook! It literally tasted the same as it did 20 years ago. Even the sauce was still delicious. The place was clean and well lit. We were hesitant to try again, but give them another chance. They truly delivered.

I've been coming to Great Wall since before I was even a teenager. They've been around for decades, and I'm genuinely glad they survived the pandemic. It's also nice to still see some of the older staff around. They've always been very kind if not amazing. Back in the day, the restaurant used to serve chips and dip with jasmine tea at no charge, but those days are understandably gone. My husband and I usually like to order the egg flower soup, orange chicken, fried rice, and beef and broccoli dishes. The portions are still generous, and the prices are still great, which I appreciate. But sometimes the food itself comes out bland, or the soup tastes like it has been sitting around for a bit. We've never gotten sick from the food just to be clear, but the quality and flavor are not always as consistent as they used to be. We still love coming here because this restaurant has such a special place in our hearts, but it is sad to see how much it has changed. Even the interior feels outdated now, and the color and atmosphere seem like they've lost some of their old spark. Overall, Great Wall is still meaningful to me, and I'll probably continue coming back from time to time, but I do wish the food quality and atmosphere felt more like they used to.
