This new Thai restaurant on upper State Street is really good! Quality ingredients and care go into making this tasty Thai. The staff is friendly and kind. They have great lunch specials albeit I would recommend expanding another curry or two like Panang and Pineapple Red Curry to the lunch special and maybe Pad Kee Mao as well. The ambience needs something to warm up the place and make the space inviting. Booths on the far wall would be nice and maybe some type of wooden trellises and live greenery like a wall of succulents or something....? Anywho, the food and friendly customer service is what should bring you to dine at or take out this great new Thai restaurant. A great addition to our SB community. read more

Very disappointed with the food. We expected more since the dishes were kind of pricey. Poor quality meat in both of the dishes (Beef noodles soup and pork in Pad Thai), it was tough and dry. Not like will return. read more

Worst. service. ever. We just left the restaurant on a Saturday night after waiting 45 minutes for a pre-paid pick up order. There was one server, not even trying to care, and several people ahead of us. One person ahead had been waiting over an hour for pick-up. No acknowledgement of our presence in the restaurant, no reassuring words that the food was almost done. I'm certain it wouldn't have come out if we'd waited another 3 hours. The food is meh anyways based on one past experience, but we'll be going elsewhere from now on. Can't imagine they'll be in business much longer. read more

Good food, and very friendly service! The staff is very kind. I've been back to this restaurant 4/5 times since they started new ownership. I placed a last-minute order after work. And I got there three minutes before they closed. I forgot to tell them not to put fish sauce in the soup. But they still heated up the food and made me a new soup without fish sauce. We had an exceptionally mediocre meal. The duck curry was nicely spiced but the duck had no flavor and the curry was thin and watery. The worst was the crab and cream cheese won tons: you couldn't taste any crab. It's false advertising. Service was ok and there was no ambiance to speak of. Delighted to find my new favorite Thai restaurant! I was craving Tom Kha and was thrilled - fresh, perfect texture and blend of sweet and tangy, and filled with good stuff... I also ordered the dumplings appetizer ( the waiter smiled shyly and said "very good" - he was right!): very fresh and flavorful but... delicate (and garnished with an edible orchid) - fabulous. I've forgotten what my partner ordered (sorry!), but he loved it :) The service was timely, efficient, polite, and friendly without being obtrusive. The food was mid. We ordered the Thai fried rice, pad see ew noodles, Thai BBQ, Spicy eggplant. The portions are small we had to order extra steamed rice. I was a little concerned considering it was lunch time and no one was here. I honestly expected more in food, service and the ambiance. The music kept going in and out. Just returned from a wide array of savory food from Thai Bistro - the eggplant / chicken / vegetable medley was especially wow.

This place has amazing service! From the hostess to the server it was all A+. The place was a little busy but they had seating ready for us, it looked clean, they literally waited on us so we'll. It wasn't that annoying they ask you if you need water every 5 minutes but they were around and waiting if we needed anything and would see if you needed water then came immediately. They were also so friendly, it just felt like a great customer service experience. Now about the food also high quality, they got the order perfect we asked for a few things on the side and they did just that. They make a sweeter Pad Thai so hopefully you don't mind that. The pad see ew a little more on the salty side than sweet and Thai iced teas not crazy sweet which is how I prefer it. My only con was the parking we had to park a block away because they didn't have parking for the restaurant that I could see. But this wasn't the worst and at least we had a good experience. read more

Came in by myself and ordered the crab fried rice. Delicious! The taste had me thinking I was back in Bangkok. I also love the thai omelette on top. The milk tea is as also very nice as well. All of this combined with the kind service and comfortable ambiance can make me recommend this place for thai food. read more

Have now had takeout and dine-in. The takeout was soo good (how often do you hear that?!)that I wanted to try dining in, and the dine-in experience did not disappoint. Our server, Sarinna, was excellent--very on top of everything, including drink and napkin refills, very sweet, and helpful, but not pushy. The food tasted very fresh, flavorful, the portions were generous, and no skimping on the meat. Found prices to be very reasonable, and the restaurant itself was quiet enough to be able to have proper conversations (even for older patrons). I had high hopes for this place because I love thai food and there were so many positive reviews. We ordered takeout near closing time: chicken curry, beef with vegetables and white rice for two. The rice was kind of hard, the curry was watered down the beef plate was soggy. My guest and I both had mild food poisoning from the food. Unfortunate. I know restaurants sometimes have bad nights but I just don't think we can ever go back. So sad!! read more

We chose to try this new place review and taste free. Ordered pick up for 6:30 on a Sunday. My husband waited 60 minutes- yes that is 1 hour for the two simple items to be ready. Pad See Yew and Green Curry.. we will see soon how it tastes but on that wait alone it barely rates as one star. I hope they get their act together! P.S. food was good. Lots of chicken and pork. I ordered yellow curry with tofu and it was perfect! Big chunks of tofu/potato, good balance of carrot/onion, super flavorful. I'm not a spicy gal so I got mild and it def still had a kick-in a good way. If you're not into spice I'd suggest going mild. Will be back! read more

Problem is this restaurant has great Thai food, but terrible service! I went to pick up my food and had multiple problems. They were having issues with the orders not being sent to the kitchen, so my order did not come out on time. Okay, this is understandable and I was fine waiting. However, I then noticed multiple people's orders coming out before mine. That is kind of strange, you would think they would be able to walk back and talk to the kitchen staff about prioritizing the orders that were lost. 45 minutes later I was still waiting. They said they would void the charge- and I thought how nice, they are trying to make it right and keep their customers happy. However they misunderstood and thought I didn't want the food at all. So in the end, the man at the register very rudely replied there was no way he would void the charge if I was taking the food home. He told me if I am taking the food, I need to pay for all of it. He made it sound like I was in the wrong, that this was hugely unreasonable, and that this type of kindness was never demonstrated in the restaurant industry. Although, I know that's not true. I have been in the exact same situation in other restaurants and they are quick to make it right by voiding the charge for an entree. I have even had entire meals compensated for long wait times, as this one should have been. In the end, after much negotiation about them not wanting to make it right in any way, all they did was hand me $10 in cash. I'm not sure why they are so ungenerous and rude here, but that is not the Thai way, and the manager needs to retrain his staff. It's a shame since the food is good. I won't be coming back. read more
