Been here a few times when visiting family. The food is always very fresh and tastes great. They also serve a coleslaw / cabbage mixture with their salsa and chips and it's soooo good. This is the best food I've ever had in my 18 years of living. Hands down. The service was incredible and the ambiance is amazing. We stopped in here after a long hike, just looking for a bite to eat. Little did we know we stumbled upon what may be the greatest fish tacos ever. The taste was delightful and I don't think I've eaten better tortilla chips in my life. First time here and visiting from out of town. Party of eight and the food was phenomenal. I had the Carnitas burrito and takes me back to my childhood living in Denver. Queso was great and all the kids ate well. I had a special margarita and it's delicious. The coleslaw dip is the first time I've ever had and it was delicious. Delicious!! Fast friendly service and great location. The cabbage slaw that comes with the chips was yummy, something I've never had before.

The prices are outrageous, the portions are tiny , the waitstaff is rude, and the food is cold. Soft drinks are $3 each! Luckily, the refills are free. Asked for no guacamole on one order; the food came slathered in it. Another order was for the fish and chips. We had to explain to the waitress what fish and chips are and point it out on the menu. I had the 2 item combination I chose a tamale and a bean an cheese burrito. My tamale was clearly warmed up in a microwave because it was dry and rock hard my bean burrito was smothered in weird red sauce, my stomach ached all the way home (Denver) and I had to pull over to throw up. Had lunch here today and it was not good at all. It was bland and watered down salsa. The lunch special was 2 steak tacos for 6.95, my husband ordered the 3 taco plate it was 17.95, at these prices no one will be back for this awful food and service. The rice was so gross it didn't have a taste, the beans seemed to be from a can, no tomatoes, no lettuce, the pico was mostly onion and was just nasty. Lunch for 37.95 for two people was ridiculous. With 8 mexican restaurants in Rifle you at least have to have something good. This place is not it at all. read more

We will not be eating here again. The food wasn't great. The sauce was gross. The salsa for chips was water and no flavor. Our plates took about 30-45 minutes. The only reason this is getting a star is because the wait staff was decent. I don't recommend going here if you have high expectations for food. read more

Loved the fact they have many vegetarian options. I had a Corona Rita that was delicious!! Food was great specially the enchiladas. My husband had a Super Burrito, honestly it could feed 3 people. I usually get enchiladas and ground beef tacos. No complaints there, chips and queso are good. Salsa lacks luster, I will never get their asada tacos again. Asada tacos were chopped up meat without seasoning in oil on a flat top grill. Working in town for a few days, looked for a nice dinner spot. Several choices in this quaint little downtown area. Felt like Mexican food so I strolled in. Since it was just me, I ate at the bar and watched baseball. Draft beer was cold (yes!) and service was prompt and friendly. Really the only thing this place has going for it is cold glasses with the beers, jalapenis and their chips and salsa. The entrees took about 25 to 30 minutes. With that amount of time, i was expecting amazing presentation. Not too much. My son ordered a $15 burrito modified and it came out wrong. it took another 5 to fix. My combo platter had a tamale that was so small, the size of a large jalapeno. The staff was in such a hurry to get your order and rush iff that it wasnt what i wanted after 8 hours on the road. read more

Well I'm very disappointed with everything. My family is originally from Jalisco Puerto Vallarta & know when it's good food. I was very excited to go but ended in disappointment. Obviously I don't expect authentic Mexican food in rifle but atleast a decent meal. First the horchata was made from the powder kind, atleast it tasted like it. The Jamaica was super sour, and the pina colada tasted like our coconut water from Walmart. My dish was the Jalisco pollo the cream kind, 18$ for three tiny pieces of chicken. Seemed like I ordered onion in cream instead of chicken in cream. I did talk to the manager, I think she was, and I got a 4$ Discount, so I paid 14$ for three pieces of chicken... I expected them to like add atleast two more pieces or something, I don't care about the price just wanted to get full. Wasn't happy at all her response, that that's how they portioned it all this crap. It kinda seemed like she thought I was lying, but my plate was clearly full of onions, it was ridiculous. My husbands plate was called the Jalisco plater. I can taste the grill on the carne asada, it was gross. The good reviews they got just had people fooled... I'm in shock of how expensive and bad it was. Don't even get me started on the chipotle shrimp... I don't ever write reviews but I had to on this one. I recommend Koritas in basalt or nopal in glenwood. Cheaper and better food love them. Will not be going back to Jalisco Grill. I recommend no one else to go.
