Always sends me with plenty of dipping sauce and has never messed up an order or shorted us any sauce, condiment, or eying utensil. The guy up front is super friendly, very humble and appreciative. Tonight it was actually pretty crowded with to go orders and people dining in. I usually get the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice, always perfect. Today I got the sesame chicken. Sister had tofu spicy soup, just amazing and so full of flavor, and plenty to save for leftovers. Spring rolls are fabulous, so crispy and the dipping sauce had a nice tang. Food was fantastic! Wife got the pad thai with chicken and shrimp, very flavorful. I got the green curry with steamed rice. It was also incredibly flavorful and had a good bit of fresh vegetables in it. I ordered it "medium" spicy and it was still too spicy for me, unless you love insane amounts of spice I would keep it at medium or below. Next time I will definitely order it mild. I'm new to Midland and was looking for a good Thai place. I think it's important to note that I spent 2 months in Thailand while serving in the Marines. I've also lived in multiple places across the U.S., including Hawaii and Miami where I dined at various Thai restaurants. Let me just say that Thai House is a Midland gem. I was thoroughly impressed with the authentic flavors and inviting atmosphere. I read a previous comment on here about the flavors not being authentic. I wonder if these posters truly know authentic in terms of Thai. There are plenty of Thai places that have been "Americanized," resulting in a plethora of people claiming to know what Thai truly is. I was hesitant to order from here after reading some of the pad Thai reviews saying there was a lack of sauce and protein. While I strongly agree I did ask for some extra sauce on the side which was a little watery for me(seemed to be missing tamarind paste) it was still tasty. The chicken is sliced so thin there must of been less than 4 oz of protein on the plate. The bean sprouts were crunchy and the green papaya seemed fresh though not much and it was also missing crushed peanuts as garnish. Also there was three random pieces of tofu that tagged along im assuming from a past order.with all that being said and for it being midland, tx it was alright. Also the fried pork dumplings were divine, I asked for chili oil or a spicy sauce on the side and got a spicy gastrique which was delicious. The dumplings saved the meal that's for sure. Owner made waitress pay for bad meal. Ordered pad Thai and have gone there for years. It did not taste good. Waiter let me know they would have to charge for another meal even though it was not eaten. Owner said it was not a buffet that they don't allow people to send food back if they don't like it or it has something wrong with it. They still make you pay. I'm greatful for the waitress but she did say she would not be there much longer. Word of advice do not send food back the owner does not have good understanding of customer service in that area. read more

Hands down the best Thai food in the Basin. No one comes close. The owner is as kind a person as I've ever met, and staff are equally friendly. The currie's are all excellent, and they will make it as spicy or mild as you can tolerate. All the noodle dishes are excellent as well. No reason to look at other options. read more

I've been here 3 times and can't believe I haven't written an review yet. I want to start off with saying how great the staff is. They're a big reason for the 5 stars! They're super nice and accommodating. I first came here with my family when I was visiting Midland and ordered the chicken Pad Kee Mao. That's my favorite Thai dish in Dallas and so I figured I couldn't go wrong. It was okay! It had the right flavors but it didn't hit me like it did in Dallas. That doesn't mean it's not good though. I think the portion is small and the ratio of chicken to noodles were off. Before our meal, we got wonton chips with this special sauce. Super addicting and eases the HANGRINESS. My other two times here have been with a big party and that's where the accommodating staff comes in. There was never a wait and they were pushing tables together while we waited on the couch located at the front of the restaurant. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao a second time and felt the same way as the first. The third time, I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. THIS WAS DELICIOUS! I normally don't like Pad Thai but this was so yummy that I don't think I can say that sentence anymore. I know what dish I will order whenever I go to Thai House and what to recommend. You pay at the front with your check and they are able to split the check easily, even with a big group. If you order an entree, after you pay you get a free full sized candy bar! One of the highlights of this restaurant. Be sure to check their hours because they aren't open throughout the entire day like most Thai restaurants. I ordered a Basil Fried Rice "very very mild", and it turned out to be spicier than my husband's "medium" curry dish. I told the waitress and she said it was mild and went to talk to the cook. She came back to say it was done "right". She offered to "add more rice" as the solution. I said no, as I couldn't eat it, it was so hot, and returned the dish and shared the plain noodles I had ordered for the kids. When we got the bill, surprise - they still charged us for the dish. Disappointed that we couldn't find another Thai place in Midland we had given up hope of having good Thai for a good while. Driving around we have seen this place before but never stopped. Pretty decent Thai food all things considered. The place isn't anything to look at, feels a little divey actually. The service was quick and friendly. I order Tom Yum(soup), Green Curry and Yellow Curry. The Green Curry was very good, the yellow was ok. The Tom Yum was good. The portion sizes on all dishes was large. They give you some fried wontons and an overly sweet dipping sauce when you arrive. I don't recommend that. There was some on my chair which ended up on my jacket, and later on my shirt.
