    Taro with vanilla milk tea
    Christa M.

We came here for the boba but of course stayed for some pho. Upon walking in, we were quickly seated and given us our menus. The pho comes in two different sizes and the price difference between the two is about $2. We ordered a chicken pho, the beef pho, and a chicken fried rice. The tv was playing so there was something to look at while we ate. It was pretty busy so the inside was loud and chaotic. All the tables had paper on top which I'm assuming is for easy cleanup. All the extra condiments were already at our table. Chili paste, siracha, soy sauce, and spoons to name a few. Our chili paste was crusty and the lid was missing. So it was dry. Our sever forgot a few things but he was kind when we reminded him. He also checked up on us several times. My chicken pho was really good but I only counted about three pieces of chicken. The beef pho was too sweet for my liking.. The chicken fried rice is $12 and I felt like the portion was too small. It was reallly good though. We paid about $40 for two pho's and a chicken fried rice. The boba was great and I paid $11 for two. I went for my usual taro vanilla milk tea with regular boba and my friend had a honeydew one with the chewy boba. Had been craving pho and this hit the spot. Would visit again.

Traditional Pork Bahn Mi and the meat ball/sirloin Pho. Awesome.

Best Pho and Bahn Mi in town. Everything is fresh and especially the bread for the Vietnamese sandwiches. The best hangover spot In Midland by far for us.

The spring rolls are the best ... very good. Boba tea is delish.... yes moving from San Francisco the expectation for boba is high and boba here is pretty good. Pho and Bun Bo Hue here are good.... I tried all the pho places here in Midland, this place is better than all of them. Definitely going back.

frying was inconsistent here, 4 dark almost burnt, 2 perfect. I took a bite out of each just to compare, tasted fine.

I think I can safely say, after trying every Vietnamese place in Midland, that this is the best one. It's not the most authentic one but it does taste the best. There are other ones (I won't name) that certainly do things more traditionally but I had major issues with all of them. Sometimes being authentic doesn't make up for spoiled ingredients or lazy cooking. Besides the inconsistently cooked shrimp, both it and the pho had good solid flavors. I would avoid the BBH. Another yelper said it tasted different, I would argue it tastes like the pho broth + some added chili sate sauce (very little if any shrimp paste) which does not equal BBH. Otherwise, accoutrements were fresh and they had most of what you would want from a Vietnamese and from an American standpoint (ketchup and fried chicken) maybe for the little kids who haven't developed their palettes yet haha.

Good pho place in Midland. This place help me to reduce how I miss good Vietnamese food especially the Vietnamese food in Houston. I tried the pho and bun bo hue; The pho broth is really good but the bun bo hue is ok. The bun bo hue broth and toppings not as I expected.

Thai milk tea with boba ($4.15 plus $0.50 for boba)

First time coming here, friendly modern looking mom and pop feel, which I love. I ordered the chicken fried rice as well as a Thai milk tea with Bobba. Friendly staff. The portion of fried rice is enough for a meal, possibly 1.5 meals (I eat large amounts of food though, so might be 2 meals for some people), however still seems a bit pricy for what you're buying. For the price of the chicken fried rice I wish they had more chicken, or more of a fried rice with chicken on top. The Thai milk tea is what I typically order, and tastes as I expect, the boba pearls are large and chewy, which is perfect. This is for sure a place I recommend and will go to again. Chicken fried rice $12.30 Thai tea $4.15 Boba $0.50 Sales tax $1.36 Total: $18.31

Pretty good boba tea and good pho soup as well. Also like the fact that they have tofu spring rolls. Best pho spot in midland.

Being from Hawaii with Asian restaurants everywhere, I have a certain level of expectation walking into an establishment regardless of where it's located. I am going to CONFIRM EVERY SINGLE REVIEW that talked about the broth. LEGIT and can hold it's own in Hawaii or CA in my opinion. We also ate the Shaken beef with fried rice and tried the crispy omelette on the menu. I love Thai omelettes and most restaurants do not have this particular entree on the menu. Thai omelettes are more of an airy, fluffier consistency. Thus one was crunchy /crispy and was flavorful. For dessert we tried the Vietnamese flan. Not your typical idea of a "flan" , this was lighter pudding over ice. It had a very light coffee flavor taste to it. This is a keeper.

The banh mi had no flavors resembling a real banh mi. It didn't taste bad just not like a banh mi. It could also use a lot more filling especially vegetables. The meat amount was decent but the vegetables were severely lacking. The vermicelli bowl was the opposite situation as the banh mi; the flavors were more authentic but it was not very tasty. The vermicelli bowl tasted very watered down, like someone actually poured a bunch of water over the bowl after cooking it, even with the sauce on the side. Unfortunately, even though there are not many pho restaurants in Midland/Odessa and I want to be fair, this place needs to step their game up.

They were putting new dishes out. The fried fish was my favorite thing along side those sesame balls ! Now the service was kind of lacking. We got drinks from the hostess but never saw our waitress until we were nearly done eating. We never got any refills on drinks. Here's the part that miffed me ... the waitress magically appeared as we were eating dessert with our check. Thinking I don't want to wait for her to reappear to pay I put my card on the tray for her right away. She came back with it and set it on the table. I continue to eat. She come back in about 2 min PICKs the check up and STICKS IT IN MY FACE (yes, with my spoon half way to my mouth) and says SIGN IT! Ok y'all I kind of don't like touching public pens and then eating again. So I said yes ma'am I will. She said SIGN NOW! So I did, but she didn't like the tip she got so she started slamming things around. I was very uncomfortable. Everyone has bad days I get that but I've worked food service before and I have NEVER Rushed a customer off and I have never ever demanded a tip for doing nothing. Not sure I'm going back and I'm sad because I liked the food.

I'm convinced the food heaters called in sick the day I showed up because everything was cold. The saving grace was the hibachi. It came out fast, actually hot, and reminded me what temperature food is supposed to be. The buffet had a solid selection, so it's not like they were lacking options. It's just hard to appreciate cold fried rice when you're wondering, "youre telling me a cocktail shrimp fried this rice?!" The honey chicken deserves some respect, though. I've never seen honey chicken at a Chinese buffet before, and somehow, even cold, it was still the best thing I ate. Which makes me think if they ever turned on the warmers or added a microwave this place might actually be decent.
