I love this place! It is an Oasis in the desert. I have been here a couple of times and make it a point to stop, even if it is a little out of the way. Daniel, who works the sushi, is really amazing at it. I would recommend for you to say that you want something special and let him know what you like because he is great at using ingredients that you wouldn't think about in sushi (like tempura jalapeños). Stopped by on 30 Oct 2021 on a 3 day trip from Boston to Miami. Food here was fantastic - very surprising as I didn't expect this quality Thai food in South Carolina. My wife and I are staying at the Fairfield Inn for a couple nights, so we thought we'd try this place based on the reviews here on Yelp. My God what a mistake. We ordered Thai Garlic Basil Chicken and Thai Red Curry Chicken. Both dishes were 90% vegetables, primarily onions, drowning in a watery "sauce" and I would guess less than 2 oz of meat. Not worth $10, let alone almost $30. And for some reason, this place charges $3 to "upgrade" the 2 oz of meat to beef or shrimp. Even their rice sucks, how do you mess that up? I would've preferred plain white jasmine rice to whatever they serve. And what ambiance! The exterior of the restaurant looks like it's been condemned and when you walk through the door you're confronted by a barely lit closet sized area where they take your payment and hand you your food through a full length plexiglass shield with holes. The food is very good. We have a vegan in the family and they were very accommodating. The owner is a very nice man who shared his warmth and wisdom with our family. As for improvements, the restaurant could be organized better. Not the best flow of food by the servers. There is a room beside the dining area that is used for storage. It would be a nicer experience if it was not visible to the customers. It could also be converted to more dining space. The outside could be cleaned up to make it more inviting and they could add a better sign or take down the blank one. We brought a party of 7 here on saturday night. I cannot even put into words how AMAZING every single dish was! The volcano flounder was nothing short of exquisite! When I say the food was PERFECT, I mean ON POINT PERFECTION! The spices were amazing, the freshness was incredible, the whole experience was wonderful! All 7 of us were so happy with pur meals! Upon arrival we inhaled as well as saw hot crisp fried food in a variety and kind new to us- we tucked into our repast and found the flavors and textures a delight. My wife is generally not a fan of fried foods, but this was a happy exception as she noted several times. Mr Sam came to our table several times to make certain the food was to our liking and in the course of that we struck up a conversation about the heat of the peppers used in his hot sauce- and this lead to a talk about his garden and home grown foods. This place is amazing. Yes, it is in a gas station parking lot, and yes it's probably not the cleanest place ever, but they sure than make up for it. The owner served us and was hilarious. He also go us glasses of water "fresh from the river" and informed us that all the herbs were homegrown in his own green house. You can really taste the difference from the freshness of all the vegetables. I got the vegetables and tofu with a side of curry sauce (spicy level five because "if you get any lower, it's just coconut milk"). I also overheard that they were planning on moving a few stores down into a larger location. I highly recommend this place and will probably stop back on the way home. read more

My son and I ordered Pad Thai noodles with black tiger shrimps (7 large shrimp per order) there was more shrimps than noodle.... for only $ 16.00 a bargain compare to some restaurants in larger cities.... authentic Thai cuisine.... I had the chance to work in Asia, Thai food is usually very spicy and I love it like that.... tonight my noodle was missing a little seasoning (for my taste) but was still good and totally deserving 5 stars. Stayed at the new Fairfield Inn next store on the way home to Baltimore. Great customer service and more importantly simply wonderful and fresh Thai dishes.
