I ordered the lunch yellow curry, and it came with rice, soup, and an egg roll. The veggies and chicken were cooked perfectly. Its hard to find potatoes cooked to the right consistency, and these were spot on. Im not sure what kind of soup it came with but it had cabbage, zucchini, I think carrots and maybe a little tomato? It was delicious and perfectly juxtaposed the curry. My mom ordered her yellow curry medium spice and she said it was a bit spicier than she anticipated but still delicious. The egg roll was good but kinda just standard. I ordered delivery thru the yelp app and it arrived before the time window estimated. The food was so bad tonight we couldn't eat it and threw everything away. I had orange chicken and it look like and tasted like fried chicken skin. No meat of any kind. The broccoli was burned and was just terrible. The Pad dish we ordered also had burned broccoli, sauce was terrible and just not for human consumption . The egg rolls were dried out and cold. The bill was around $45 and all in the trash. They have always been good for years so they had to know the bad quality of food they gave me tonight. We will not go back and the food was so bad it has ruined my taste for Asian food. A quality Resturant and manager would never give anything like we received tonight just to protect their reputation and customer. Well, we were the only table for over an hour. Let me start with the service. Server acted clueless when we ordered. Didn't notice empty plates when we finished apps. Didn't notice water glass empty for 12 minutes, sucked in my glass with a straw loudly and still didn't get her attention. Had to get up and go to the counter and ask for a refill. Now to the food. I had the drunken noodles and wife had panang curry. Drunken noodles were tasty, but too much sauce saturated the dish. Spice was just right. Panang curry was too sweet, wife couldn't eat it. Overall not good, I would not be back, one semi-good dish is not enough to overcome the overall bad experience. Don't ignore the yelpers previous reviews. Note to manager: Orders should be made in the order they are received-not picking and choosing which patrons you want to serve first(this practice can easily be perceived as racial discrimination which in my case it likely was). I ordered 3 lunch specials and manager told me 20 mins. They were quite busy because it was around lunch time. An Indian man and white lady couple came in about 5-7 mins after me to dine in. Of course they made their food first(I'm talking take their order, drinks, soup, entrees and all while I'm sitting there for upwards of 45 mins) and they likely served about 2 to 4 to go orders before mine and had me wait about 45 mins to an hour because I saw several people come and go. I go to the counter to address the concern and no one acknowledged me for 10 mins. The manager doesn't offer to still give me food. I missed my entire lunch break because they made every one else's order before mine. Also, will take 5 business days for me to recoup my $34. Manager offered nothing for a concession but the Thai tea for my lost hour lunch break, money off my card for 5 days, and no food. Mind you my food still wasn't ready after all this including 2 conversations with manager and 1 with the attendant Indian girl. They served 3 different dine in couples, 2 door dash orders, and 3 regular to go orders before mine. I even left a $3 tip. All the while, after she issued my refund I hear the younger Asian manager and Indian girl murmuring "why is he still standing there" as if I was the problem for being treated like it's 1932. Obviously, I was standing there thinking the manager was going to still give me my food to appease a former loyal customer of theirs for wasting my time, money, and inequitable treatment I just received from them. Turns out the manager comes back and says "oh no I was just giving you the Thai Tea that you paid for because food is still not ready". Thai Tea does not right your wrongdoing, a restaurant and manager with a moral compass would know this. This was January 16th, 2024 the day after MLK day. It was 1 degrees outside with the wind chill, and I drove over there in frigid cold weather just to be treated like that. Don't go here if you're Black! read more

I placed my order through DoorDash and was amazed at my whole experience! This was my first time trying Thai Kitchen and it didn't disappoint! I got the chicken PadThai, and my only complaint is that there was no option for spice, which is one of the things I love about PadThai. You can get it with no spice, some spice, lots of spice, Thai Spice, etc... Unfortunately, this was not an option. But it didn't ruin the experience. The food was still very tasty, packaged well and served fresh and hot. I also got the house sampler! And it was sooo good! Everything was fried just perfectly! Tried this place out looking for some nearby Thai food and noticed they had some vegetarian options on the menu. I don't get the negative ratings for this place other than the delivery. (It's BYOB, so you should definitely visit!!) I asked about gluten-free options and they seemed pretty informed; I was told that nearly everything can be modified, which is good news for me! I was able to try the Mango Chili dish without cashews and soy sauce; it was delicious! I've never had a Thai dish with chunks of mango, fresh bell pepper and onion, carrots, and soft tofu. The medium wasn't quite spicy enough for me so I added my own chili soy protein. It was all very fresh and flavorful and enough for two meals; I definitely want to have this again!! Ordered because they had a 20% off coupon on Doordash, figured I'd give them a shot. They seem to be really reasonably priced. I ordered the summer rolls and Thai Style Ramen Soup, both excellent. And those summer rolls were freaking huuuge. The peanut sauce that came with it (not pictured) was way too sweet for my taste so I swapped it out for one I really liked that I had left over from an order I got at another restaurant. They should try to make their peanut sauce more savory in my opinion. The ramen broth came piping hot which I also appreciated. My only other complaint is the hour long wait I had but that's more the fault of Doordash. I'm most impressed by the summer rolls, both the size and price is impressive. I've certainly sorrento more for less before. Despite not liking the peanut sauce, I give them 5 stars. I've been in search of a decent pad thai lately so I will most likely order a tofu pad thai from them when the mood strikes me again just too see if they're consistent across the board. Delicious! We got Pineapple Curry with shrimp, Pad Thai with beef, Pad Thai with chicken and Thai style ramen noodle soup with shrimp. All of our items arrived hot and everything was neatly packaged. I expected quality to be less since we ordered our food around 9:30 (they are open on Doordash until 12:30AM), but everything was great!! The shrimp and meat were all cooked well and of great quality. Very disappointing. I decided to give them a try since the delivery turn around time was quickest with door dash. Yellow curry tasted weird. Didn't have coconut milk and had a very strong almost Indian curry like taste. Ordered a side of fried rice which came in a plastic bag inside a styrofoam container. The rice tasted off and had a strange yellow tint to it. The egg in the fried rice tasted off as well. The pad Thai portion was huge but lacked any depth of flavor. I won't be coming back. I'm giving 5 stars for the delivery experience! Food came hot, contactless and fresh to my doorstep within 30 mins. I was impressed with that. I was slightly underwhelmed by my Pad Thai. It had a red tint to and I think the taste was chili powder.. a lot of it. It was still good- just that flavor stood out over anything. Chicken was tender and noodles were topped with peanuts, scallions, and bean. sprouts. I also impulse ordered the appetizer sampler which had dumplings, shu mai, spring rolls, cheese sticks, and corn nuggets. Everything in this box was delicious and hot..sweet and sour/ginger sauces were great for dipping. I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating a ton of fried food after a long run, but in the moment I had no regrets! I have eaten at the Thai kitchen multiple times and ordered different apps and dishes and every time my food is hot, presented well and delicious. I have never had a problem with the staff they are always very nice and make sure you are satisfied during your visit. I have also ordered to go and depending on how busy they are the pick up time reflects that, just like any other restaurant. Food was packaged well even my drinks were in the bag making it super easy to carry! The Thai iced tea is a must try! Definitely would recommend giving Thai kitchen a try. I called several times before they closed and no answer. The wrong order was an unknown seafood dish which was not edible. So ended up ordering pizza elsewhere. Called the next day to tell them of the wrong order and they commenced arguing with me and told me they would only give me a partial refund only. The staff is shockingly unwilling to make corrective amends for their wrong doing. I will definitely NOT EVER order from this place again and can now understand why the others left negative reviews. After waiting for over 45 minutes without an update, I contacted DoorDash who notified me that there seemed to be a delay at the restaurant. We called the restaurant and they indicated it would be around 10 more minutes. After 20 minutes, I noticed that the Dasher was still at the restaurant. I called and was informed it would be 10 more minutes. Fifteen minutes later the Dasher was finally on his way. I might be a little picky about my Thai food. Since moving up to The Colony, I've had a hard time replacing my go-to Thai place. I've tried 4 or 5 restaurants in TC and Frisco and just haven't loved any of them. One of them was so bad, I just threw the food out. So when I tried Thai Kitchen last night, I was not expecting to be blown away. I ordered Panang Curry with Beef and Tom Yum Soup online and went in to pick up. I loved being able to order online! When I arrived, my food was packaged neatly and waiting for me on the counter. The service was friendly and the place is nice inside (and byob!). I'll definitely be back to dine in. When I got home my food was piping hot and the portions were large enough to share. Best of all - this was easily the best Panang Curry I've had anywhere! The beef is better quality than you find in most Thai places, and the vegetables were fresh. I got "medium" on the spicy scale and it was perfect for me. They have no hours of service posted at the door. Their website says they close at 9:30 and yelp says they close at 10.
