Lunch Special Drunken noodles. Not made the Thai way. Catering to American tastes. Thai American food.

We came to this place because it has a 4 star rating. Next time, we really need to look at the detail reviews. Almost all of the reviews within the last year are 1 star reviews. Place is dark. Not a good vibe. Service was slow even though very few lunchtime diners. Waitress was kind though. The food is more Thai American than authentic Thai food. I ordered the LS: Shrimp Pad Thai with chicken & rice soup, and spring roll for $12.98. 1) The spring roll is really a regular egg roll stuffed with cabbage. The skin was hard and thick like an egg roll. I cannot remember ever having a worst spring roll. 1/5 2) Chicken and rice soup is mediocre. Very little stock. 3/5 3) Shrimp Pad Thai: Large shrimp tasted as if it cooked while still frozen. Like cardboard. Pad Thai flavor was more American than Thai. 2/5 The friend ordered the LS Drunken noodles with spring rolls, and upgrade to Tom yum soup. $17.96. She thought spring roll was good but she does not know the difference between a spring roll and egg roll. Tom Yum soup was decent. Drunken noodles. 1 bite and she tossed the rest. Was too Thai American for her. Her overall rating was 1. We ordered LS chicken pad Thai for her 2 kids. Kids refused to eat. I did not enjoy the food or atmosphere. With so many authentic Thai options available. Why eat mediocre prepared Thai American food? The lunch bill was $56.04 including the $8 tip. It would have been worth it if the place was cheerful with delicious Thai food.

Large Thai restaurant near Bealls. I was scouting this location as a possible ladies luncheon spot for a group. I ordered the lunch special-a spring roll, soup and pad Thai. Soup and spring roll were good. Pad Thai was Soso. Not many vegetables and not too flavorful. The furniture -tables and chairs - are very beat up with lots of chips and scratches and just very messy looking . Not very appetizing when you're eating looking at missing pieces of wood on the table. I don't think I'll return.

The food was decent. Came in mid day (lunch time) on a week day and was seated immediately. It wasn't busy by any means, a few servers working about 10 tables. The table to the left of me was complaining how their food came out cold. Our chicken pad Thai was also on the colder end (we ordered the lunch special with chicken pad Thai and some sushi rolls that were included). The cold pad Thai wasn't much importance to us. What was, was how the disgruntled people to the left were handled & we had to flag down our server multiple times for refills of water and to get our check. It may have been an off day for the staff, but we will most likely not return. It's difficult to want to pay for another lunch/dinner at a restaurant when the initial encounter wasn't thrilling. Although the appearance was spot on, the flavor/quality of the fish was not there. I'd say 75% of the food in each bowl was left untouched as we got our checks and headed out.

I have been to this place many times and the food is really fresh and good . Excellent quality and friendly atmosphere. The lunch special is very affordable. I really recommend it . It is reasonably priced .

Lunch specials even on the weekend!

I'm always looking for a good Thai place. What sets this place apart from other places? They have lunch specials... EVEN ON THE WEEKENDS! Such a great deal! Meals come with a soup and a spring roll. I really enjoyed the spring roll. It was a perfect crispy and the dipping sauce really added to the flavor profile. The soup, well I was mildly disappointed in that. It lacked flavor and I could have done without it. I ordered the chicken pad Thai at a level three. It was very mild. I tasted my friends who ordered a level five and even that wasn't very spicy. I'll definitely take it up a notch next time. The flavors were good but I found the sauce very thin. I was very happy with the overall staff friendliness and cleanliness of the restaurant. I will most likely return.

The 'Happy Summer' roll: cooked salmon, krab, avocado, cream cheese, spicy mayo and eel sauce.

As a vegetarian, Thai spots are usually a safe bet, so I searched nearby and found Koon Manee and I'm so glad we did. The service was impeccable. Our server was genuinely kind and attentive, checking in on us just the right amount without ever being intrusive. The lunch special was such a great value and everything came out to about $32 for both of us, including a nice sized salad, a vegetable spring roll (which was a pleasant surprise), and generous portions for the entrées. My mom had the shrimp with vegetables, and I ordered the garlic pepper tofu with vegetables along with a Thai coffee tea. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I didn't realize they close at 2 PM, but our server kindly gave us a heads up so we could order anything else before the kitchen closed. Even then, we never felt rushed. The restaurant itself was spacious and very clean, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. Easy 5/5 stars

On a busy Friday evening the parking lot had numerous open spaces and the place was quite full but they were able to sit me right away. The menu was pretty extensive and had a great selection. Unfortunately, there were quite a few "special" rolls with cream cheese, which is a turn off, but I found 3 rolls with great mixes of fish. For the appetizer I chose a mixed seafood salad which was the closest to Sunomono (my favorite) and it was spicy and delicious. The iced green tea was very green and tasted great. Service was fast, friendly and responsive to keep my tea full. My rolls arrived and were displayed well but a little small for the price. I have lived all around the country and am constantly surprised by how Florida restaurants don't measure up to others with creativity or value in their seafood/sushi restaurants. The flavors were good and overall it was filling and satisfying. I will be back.

We were seated within five minutes of our scheduled reservation. The service was excellent. Our server, Jonathan checked back on us regularly and made good suggestions. The food was served as soon as it was fired, so everything came to the table hot and fresh. Overall, the food was good - - not always great. The Peking Duck was exceptional. The duck meat was tender and flavorful, the skin crisp and the portion massive. I loved that the steamed pancakes were separated by thin paper layers, so they didn't stick together. The brisket fried rice was good - I still prefer roast pork, but that's a matter of personal taste. The Chicken Pad Thai had a wonderful flavor and balance - but the noodles were overcooked, and so a bit gummy. The orange Chicken had wonderful flavor, and I really enjoyed the perfectly cooked orange peel. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked - and a bit stringy. The bao buns were disappointing. The Brisket was not sauced and it was a bit dry. There was a sauce over the top, but it would have been much better had the brisket been dressed. The pork Belly Tiki Bao Bun was much better - and the meat was sauced. Overall we had a good meal and really enjoyed the beautiful modern asian setting.
