I ordered Garlic Chicken and Garlic Beef extra spicy and Hot and Sour soup. What we got had no flavor or spicy in either . The Chicken had no color at all like Moo Goo would look. Thank goodness i had garlic chili sauce and oil, soy sauce and a General Tso sauce to add to it to it and my husbands food as well as the soup. Before I get into my ratings, I should tell you a few things I look for in a balanced review. I can understand a typo or two but if you make too many or have limited grammatical knowledge, my impression is that your review has little merit and you have a low IQ. Use "spell- check." Also, if you need to use over worked words such as "awesome, amazing, and actually," than everything else should be considered ordinary and merely so- so. I've been fortunate to extensively travel the world and have been lucky to sample authentic cuisines. One should be able to isolate a complex mixture of ingredients or expound upon a simple PB&J sandwich. If you haven't had the opportunity to dine in a major city, you might not know how a dish should be prepared. Every dish was equally bland with little difference between "sauces." Noodles should not stick together as if they were glued. Ironically, the most disappointed thing (before I started to eat) was that after unpacking the dishes, I glanced at their menu which stated I was eligible for a free dish. They didn't bother to inform me. That's not right. Not everyone had face masks over the woks while cooking. Unfortunately, I've found only two places in the world where the Chinese food tastes different from the traditional- Japan and Florida. Why does Yelp refuse to allow unsubscribing? Doesn't everyone know by now that unless a restaurant "ponies up," and pays, their review might get lost to other competitors that pay Yelp? I really enjoy this place. The food is priced great, always hot and ready in 10 minutes every time I've ordered takeout. I haven't had a bad dish yet. The sweet and sour pork is on point. As Rick H. said, this is a no frills restaurant. The food is delicious here and a great deal to boot. At lunchtime, $5.25 will get you a entree + soup or entree + soda. At dinner, it's a bit more expensive but still a pretty decent deal. Every time I've been to China Wok over the past few years, I have always seen the same people working there, which probably accounts for the consistently good food. Strip mall Chinese fast food. Sounds sketchy, right? I was hungry and this strip mall was on the way to my appointment. Without knowing my way around town, I decided that it'll do. I asked the cashier what's the least greasy item on the menu and she responded that they can make everything listed with less oil. Hesitating, I ordered the beef and broccoli lunch special. The cooks in the back immediately got to work. It smelled amazing and as such, I lowered my expectations, assuming the food would be swimming in grease, since most places never actually cut the oil and if they do, it becomes completely unpalatable. After a brief wait, I was on my way with my take out. Verdict: The broccoli was bright green and crunchy which means that it's fresh and not overcooked. The beef had a great texture. It was lean, beefy and not over-tenderized. I was most impressed that the stir fry was chow-worthy without being greasy. The portion size was large enough to be filling for mighty eaters. The setback for entree with rice or fried rice plus a drink was less than $7, ie $5 and change pretax. Good westernized Chinese food that doesn't cause heartburn is hard to find. I got the general Tso's chicken and the proportions were surprisingly very big. I usually eat a lot, but this filled me up and at a very affordable cheap price. The cashier Jeffrey was also very friendly. As for the taste, it was not too salty nor too bland, and very saucy so that the rice was not too dry when eaten together. My portion also had vegetables with it so it was a healthy option as well. So we've been getting our Chinese food fix here for over a year now so I thought it was time to write a review. Nothing but good things to say: SUPER SUPER FAST DELIVERY AND ALWAYS HOT!!! Never ever had a wrong order, which is surprising. All my kids like the food here, that's usually not the case. Wonton soup, eggrolls, crab rangoon (sp?).... all favorites in our house. The drivers are super efficient and friendly. I have absolutely no complaints for delivery Chinese food. If you want something fancy, its not PF Changs... but honestly my kids prefer this to PF Chang takeout any day. I get cheers when I say I'm ordering from here and for me that says all I need to know. I am rating it 2 stars due to customer service. I have been ordering from there since 2004. At least 2x a month we get delivery from China Wok. I always order the same thing for my super finicky son. Last night, they messed up my order and failed to bring my son's food. I called them and was told I would have to pick it up. I order delivery often from other restaurants and when they have made an error they have always made it right. I always tip the driver again.
