My first visit was in 2019. Leisurely lunch with a friend and we noted how nice the interior was and the fine service. Dishes were high quality and delicious as well. Being from Toronto I am accustomed to greater value, but could not complain in general. This week I had a take out lunch and ate it at a picnic table wrapped around a tree on their large property. Green curry with chicken and a small Tom Yum with seafood to go. $25...... And the curry was on special, $2 off. Again, not great value but it is higher than average quality. Will return in June. It had been ages since I had their food, and I remembered it being quite good, so my husband and I decided to place an order for take out. We both ordered pad thai level 2 spicy and spring rolls. Spring rolls were not in the order, but instead, they gave us fresh rolls, which had one small piece of very dry chicken and way too much carrot. At least the veggies in it tasted fresh so I have to give credit for that. The pad thai lacked in flavour and was not at all spicy. The chicken in it was dry and tasted awful. I would not order from here ever again. So disappointing. The quality of food has completely depleted and for the price, it certainly wasn't worth it. read more

We drove from the US to Windsor just to eat here because they have gluten free pad see ew. What an amazing restaurant! It's beautifully decorated, the service is amazing, and they can make almost everything gluten free. Their tamarind sauce, which they use on their pad thai, is so tasty that I know I'll crave it when we leave. We already plan to come back in a week. I got the curry noodles, which came in a large bowl. I enjoyed them immensely, but after tasting my daughter's pad see ew, I was determined to get it on our next visit. They have make your own stir fry, make your own noodle soup, a kids menu, and five desserts. They also have many different kinds of spring rolls. The chef also sells jars of his sauces. I haven't been here since it was across the street in the plaza; this was my first time here since then. It was a Friday night when we came, I thought it would be busy, considering the parking lot was nearly full. Walked inside and we're able to be seated within minutes. Then, waited about 5 more minutes until someone came to take our drink order, then our actual order, which was fine. I had ordered the Tofu & Veggie Pad Thai, and we shared some crispy wontons as a starter. When our appetizers came out, the wonton soup that my friend had ordered and the crispy wontons that my sister and I had ordered, were hot, and the dipping sauce was good! Finally our main meals came out, my Pad Thai and my sister and our friend both ordered the Chow Mein, which looked absolutely delicious. Our meals were hot, delicious and not spicy at all, we were asked how spicy we wanted our meals, I said not spicy at all. We finished our meals in good time and there was a large portion, so I brought some home for lunch the next day. Great atmosphere, great food, good company, bigger restaurant since they took over the church, I like it better at this location, bigger and more open concept and a lot brighter, I remember the old location being dark. After hearing and reading good reviews of Thai Palace we decided we would head there today for lunch. We ordered the following: Tiger Shrimp, Crispy Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, Green Curry and Spicy Basil Sauce. Everything tasted great. It would be beneficial if they had children sized portions as the Pad Thai plate was just too much for my daughter. Great decor! Very relaxing atmosphere. Very cozy. We came here for dinner before seeing Penn & Teller at Caesar's Windsor. Our plan had been Smoke and Spice, but they were packed and we didn't have time to wait. We had seen this place driving up Lauzon and decided to give it a try. It was a great choice! We liked the decor, and the food was very good. My brother had a bowl of wonton soup that was huge, and full of wontons and other stuff. All of our main courses disappeared. My spouse ordered chicken curry fried rice and it was plenty warm for him at medium. I had mild spice on my pad thai, and it was fine for me. The noodles were done well, and the chicken didn't have an old taste at all. We tried the fresh spring rolls, which we had not seen offered elsewhere. They were okay, but I think the crispy ones are much better. These were also large, and I am used to spring rolls being rather thin. The major fault here was service. The wait for our bill was too long, even after we had mentioned we had a show to catch. We finally went to the front cash register, and even then it took a long time to get our bill paid. It was a good thing the show started late, as we got there with just a couple of minutes to spare. I would eat here again, but that problem with the bill presentation was a real disincentive. read more

Came with friends who have never been here. I was looking forward to the pad thai because I had a great memory of it from the last time I came. I got the tofu pad thai and added extra broccoli and eggplant. It's a $2 charge for each vegetable which I was fine with. But when the food came out, I was not fine with it. There was probably a 2/3 cup of broccoli and a 1/4 cup of eggplant so if you're charging me $2 for each vegetable, I expect to actually get my money's worth. The pad thai this time...sucked. My friends and I really like pad thai and they were excited too. But we all agreed it tasted closer to soy sauce than tomato or tamarind. There is a spice level up to five. I went with five which was not even the least bit spicy. My friends tried mine and they said it was a tiny bit with a spicy, tingly sensation. My total came to a little over $21. Yeah, I remembered that this place is overpriced but it sucked even more because I didn't get the amount of vegetables I paid for and to top it off, the pad thai sauce sucked today. I love the food here. My family and I went for my brothers birthday and had a great time. The presentation(my boyfriends rice was served in a pineapple!) and taste are on point. Each dish came out perfectly and customized as we liked. Be warned that when they warn you about the spice scale, they are not kidding. Recommendations: Chicken Pad Thai, fresh spring rolls, or create your own bowls! Unfortunately disappointed greatly by the mistake in our order that was not rectified in an appropriate manner. We ordered Tom Ka soup and received Tom Yum. I brought this to the server's attention so she took back the bowl only to replace it a few minutes later with the same bowl of Tom Yum soup with a couple of tablespoons of coconut milk added. What a farce! The other dishes were okay but certainly nothing to write home about. This Thai severely lacked important aromatics- galangal! Lemongrass! Thai basil!! Yes there were hints of some lemongrass but not nearly enough and for sure there was no galangal. This restaurant may have gotten the Thai interior feel and look to fool you, but they lack basic knowledge-- which is not an excuse--- or they really don't give a crap and assume you don't know any better--- which is reason enough to never go there again. Excellent peanut curry but only served with rice. The pad see ew noodles aren't typical Thai noodles - they're more penne style. Not impressed. Wasn't a fan of the automatic gratuity added to parties of 6 or more (typically it's 8-10 or more) since the waitress really didn't tend to us the way she should have being that her tip was a given. Food was ok. I had the Pad See Ew and it was good but served spread out across a giant plate to make it seem like the portion was bigger than it actually was. I'm glad I didn't get any meat with it because the others at my table were quick to notice that their proteins didn't look/taste "real". The decor in here is nice and overall it was an ok experience but there's too many good Thai places in Windsor to waste time at this one. I won't be back. read more

I took my little brother and sister to the old location, simply because they live on the eastside and didn't want to go all the way downtown to the ONLY Thai restaurant in town BASIL COURT. They are not adventurous eaters, so I'd been trying to introduce new foods to them. I can say the decor was very nice, but I was hardly trying to impress them with decor. The food? I got a coconut chicken soup, and a build your own stir-fry. The soup was average. I love Basil Court so much, I've nearly mimicked making their soup at home. The soup here was ok, basically just broth with red curry paste and some veg. Not terrible but nothing amazing. My stir fry was absolutely terrible. Undercooked veggies in a lukewarm broth. Struggled to finish. My sister got a fried rice dish, which was ok. Pretty salty imo. My brother's dish was actually pretty tasty. It better have been for 18 bucks. It was the fish and vegetables in sauce. Fish was crisp and was a nice sauce.. Honestly, if this place charged like any cut-rate Chinese place, I'd have been ok with it. Our bill was more than $70 dollars (with one beer). We could have eaten for a week spending 70 at Basil Court. Good try, surprised it's still open really. read more

I've been to this one a few times, including their old location. Their service is good and so is the ambiance. The wait staff are very nice. The food, however, is not the best. It is way to westernized. I suspect they reduce the use of shrimp paste, fish sauce and other Thai cuisine essentials to make their food more appealing to ordinary Windsorites. And as Peggy said, they are also a bit over priced. That said, I would highly recommend this place for dating. It is very nicely decorated and has a great wine menu. It is exotic enough to impress your date but NOT too much to offend someone who don't like the smell fish sauce. And with their above average price, you won't be accused of being cheap. read more

The food is disgusting. I got a create your own stir fry; the rice noodles are over cooked, the shrimp is completely bland, the peanut sauce tastes like they put a jar of peanut butter on my dish. The pad Thai sauce is unlike any other I've had, I actually had to spit it out it was so gross. The wonton soup had zero spice to it (literally not even salt). I'm not very picky and usually enjoy all foods, but this was just not good. Service was okay. They didn't come around that often to check and there was only 1 other table seated. One of my favourite restaurants! I have a strong gluten-intolerance and have never gotten sick eating here. The staff and kitchen are very knowledgable about food allergies. They have done a fabulous job training their staff to be kind, courteous, and prompt. I love the Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Pad See Yu, and coconut mango sweet rice for dessert!
