But the past couple years I've seen lots of changes. They don't get many new comics in, they never have enough MTG products or OP packs/boxes, and don't even have a limit to how many people can purchase? Their stock is also only plushies and overpriced board games and we really see no reason in shopping there anymore. Today we signed up AND PAID FOR for the Hobbit prerelease at midnight, me and my partner were planning on picking up the kit, and dropping from the tournament and making decks on our own, as I personally don't prefer playing with strangers. Usually we have NO issues doing so. When we went to drop out they had told us we were not allowed and we can't get our prerelease kit and extra packs unless we stay the WHOLE tournament... I asked if this was stated somewhere or a new policy and they didn't answer my question, talked to a different staff and had told me we can stay the whole tournament to get the box or get a full refund. I had asked again why this was not stated to us before we had signed up, or if it was on the website somewhere and the staff had again repeated that it's just not allowed. Currently my partner went to the prerelease, got his kit, and dropped out regardless. This whole situation was frustrating, as we never got a clear answer as to WHY we couldn't drop out when we had already paid for the kit and just wanted to go home? I definitely recommend everyone shopping at Dragons Lair Medical, or Heroes & Fantasies for comics or TCG.

I've been collecting comics for over 30 years and it is great to find a small comics shop that simply just sells comics. Plenty of titles all labeled and categorized. Wall books and variants for those display collections. New comics also available. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about how to find anything you're searching to collect. The prices are also very favorable to the wallet. I will definitely be stopping by again to help fill in those run gaps.

The guys here are the absolute coolest and have been so helpful, and the amount of awesome merch crammed into this place is INSANE. From board games and their accessories to giant superhero statues, they have it all. We've purchased almost all of our comic books here, several Pokémon and One Piece cards/packs, plushies, and a few figures from them. Their layaway plan is super reasonable and made it possible for us to bring home one of our largest figures, J. Scott Campbell's Alice, to date. I bought a really nice autographed copy of "Baa Baa Blacksheep" and also a memoir by Eisenhower's speechwriter (see "eclectic and niche" above). This copy had no price written in it and had a goodwill sticker on it. I asked the lady at the counter how much the book was, and she looked it over and expressed her horror that the old sticker had not been removed. So she gave me the book at no charge and we had a great conversation about a unique picture of JFK's motorcade in San Antonio on the wall. Just a really nice experience.

Unfortunately for me, it was very busy, and the guy said it was abnormally busy for a Tuesday morning, but that's great for their business. I wanted to remain with the cards as he reviewed them since it was an extensive collection. 90% of the time I felt like I was in good hands because the payout policy was more transparent and clear than that of another local card shop where I had gotten a quote previously. I was a little uncomfortable when he quietly walked away in the middle of the review to use the restroom without telling me where he was going, what he was doing, or if he was taking any cards with him, but I should have spoken up, so that's on me. Overall, I felt like the price he offered for the collection was fair. If I were to do it over again, I would have taken out more of my top cards to get rated before selling, but the experience was a positive one. I would recommend this business.

We came in after noticing the spot while having coffee around the corner. Outside the shop, before walking in, there are several bargain books displayed that help with a visual cue of where you should be heading to. Organization of all records was pretty decent. Everything is spaced out and no overcrowding of records to be found here. You can browse easily without having any issues. I ended up finding a great early Rihanna LP and my partner found a pretty awesome and good quality of an REM LP here too. We were very happy with our finds and the condition the vinyl was when we brought it home to play. Of course you can find bargain records here but their curated records that are priced $5 and up will be pretty good quality in terms of cover and record quality. I think I remember seeing nice juices, beers, and even some energy drinks here that are offered in a cold case? I also saw plenty of magazines and niche zines here that I regret not taking a chance on. You will find something unique and very interesting here even outside of records. I really loved the book area/nook as there are plenty of genres to choose from. I will definitely come back through to browse their selection in the future. I am unsure if they still have bands play outside or in but I would be down to catch some tunes too.
