She was too concerned about seeing her next client and said she didn't have time to correct her mistake. She'd purposely get my shirt wet every visit and doesn't curl my hair well. I'll show the conversation and pictures to follow. So she decided to quit me as a loyal cash paying customer accusing me of things I didn't do. She'd been trying to quit me for some time. But I didn't catch on until my hair went purple. Kind of hard to tell on the first picture. But plenty of people we astonished. What an embarrassment.

She always listens to what I want and makes it happen in the most flattering way. I trust her to the point that if I am in a hair funk, I let her do what she wants. As usual, I walk out looking amazing. I have seen several other stylists for hair and make up for special occasions. They have all gone above and beyond and made me look amazing. I get so many compliments on their work. I also want to speak to the integrity of the salon. The customer service has always been stellar. Every stylist I have seen has listened to what I want. The thing that sets them apart is that they make suggestions that will only compliment my face shape and skin tone. So I absolutely love Salon Dacota. I have been going there for quite a long time. Love the people…read morethat work there. Great atmosphere. Great products for hair. If you are just going to get your hair cut, they will do an excellent job. My sister also gets her hair dyed here all the time and leaves perfectly satisfied. Unfortunately, what I would NOT recommend is coming to get a balayage treatment done. I have never dyed my hair in the past and decided to do something different for a change. Having coming from Manhattan, I was intent on trying something different for $200 as opposed to $500. I figured with balayag being a very trendy style right now, the stylist had to have a ton of practice. After all, It is pretty hard to mess up -- especially when I show you a picture before hand. When I came in, I was completely brunette. And when I left I did not have a balayage (where my brown hair would gradually turn into blonde) but on the contrary, I was completely blonde with dark roots. Really not at all like a balayage. In fairness, my hair is extremely long. And thick. The appointment itself took 3 hours. I feel that the error came from both lack of experience and also management of time. We ran 30 minutes over into the next client's appointment (poor thing) and I felt like it was a rushed job. She didn't end up actually styling my hair because she ran out of time. I suppose a little of this is on me because I should have ensured she REALLY LOOKED at the picture. I was like here's the picture. She very quickly relied "oh I totally got it! I can do that" This was several months back and the reason I write about it now is because I now am having to pay almost $500 for a color correcting and CORRECT balayage. Moral of the Story: salon dacota is great. Just not for balayage. If you are wanting to do that, splurge and go somewhere that specializes otherwise you may end up paying more. Hope this is helpful!
